Presents advice for parents of two-to-five-year-olds, beginning with an overall approach to discipline, followed by an A-to-Z compendium of common problems and their solutions.
Common sense, parent-to-parent advice on such topics as toilet training, sibling rivalry, fighting, and temper tantrums. Also addressed is how to help young children cope with such things as death, strangers, self-esteem, and sexuality. One of the authors is the executive director of the Parents Resource Network and a preschool teacher with 30 years experience; the other is a writer and former co-host of a Chicago-based cable television program on parenting. Each is the mother of three children.
