While I love reading reviews, it's not as common to see reviews from people that have had longevity with the product. I'm trying to be better about this and share my little pool of knowledge. These end tables caught my eye because of the price, color and simple design. Target did not disappoint. Sure, you have to put them together and of course the instructions aren't clear to everyone but if you've put together anything similar you know the drill. After 3 plus years of daily use and 4 moves later, they look as good as they day I bought them, no odd wear and tear, no chipping, breaking etc. For the price, they are well worth the small investment.

We recently purchased the Avington console table, coffee table and side table for our family room. We are pleased with everything but the side table. Nothing in the pictures or description prepares you for the fact that the back of the table is unfinished. In the pictures it is always positioned with the back against a sofa. In the store, the furniture is secured down so you can't see the back. The unfinished back REALLY makes this look cheap. If it hadn't taken 3 hours to assemle the other two pieces, we would have sent it back. At the moment we are looking at either replacing the table and moving this to the library where we can hide the back or seeing if we can find a piece of matching veneer to cover up the unfinished back. Other than this, we are pleased with the three pieces.

My husband and I now have many pieces in the Avington collection - two tall bookshelves, two side tables, the console table and the entertainment center. This set has really made our home beautiful! They clean easy, and always appear to have come from a high end furniture store. My husband has built each piece with ease. It's a GREAT collection!

I have purchased several "assembly required" furniture pieces over the years and this is by far the nicest looking! It really looks like a more expensive piece and it was a breeze to put together. It took me only 30 minutes and that was with help from my two year old!

I bought 2 of these endtables to use in my bedroom as nightstands. The color matched the wood I had perfectly. I put them together myself, the instructions were super easy! They are good quality and size for the money. I absolutely recomend.

I bought 2 Avington side tables over 3 years ago and they still look great. I purchased them along with an Avington coffee table and console table. All three styles looked great when first purchased, but I have to say my side tables have really stood up to the test of time! Including a move! And they weren't difficult to put together- they just took some time. The drawer space is wonderful AND the shelf is much more spacious than it looks like! These are NOT expensive, yet are some of the best quality for the price I've ever encountered. Especially since they tend to go on sale just about every other week! I've gotten rid of my Avington console and coffee table, but still use the side tables everyday. The rest of my furniture now is from a higher end furniture store- people mistake these Target end tables for being from that higher end store all the time. I highly recommend this product!

This furniture is attractive and functional. Very sturdy and not hard to assemble. But it is not hardwood. It is laminate. Which means that it damages very very easily. This is why it's so inexpensive. If you are looking for high quality hardwood furniture then expect to pay [$] and up for a piece like this If you want something attractive and inexpensive then this is a great buy.

Imagine our surprise upon opening the box...this is a great piece of furniture! It is so sturdy...solid! We purchased this as a night stand for our children's rooms and are so very pleased! The color is very rich and attractive...it coordinates nicely with "espresso" colored furniture we purchased from a different collection. This was VERY simple to assemble! The wood pieces were labeled clearly, and even the hardware were in their designated baggies labeled according to the step for which they would be used. No guessing with this project! My husband was pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of construction. We would recommend this side table to anyone!

We've recently purchased three of these Avington end tables for our living room and also some pieces from Target's Carson line for our family room. Both lines are just fabulous for the price. These Avington end tables are probably my favorite. They're substantial with nice detailing, and look much more expensive than they were. We had no trouble with the tables we purchased at our local store, but the end table I ordered online arrived with a broken part. We simply returned it to the store and they quickly replaced it. Couldn't be happier with our furniture purchases from Target.

I bought two of these for our master bedroom over two years ago. I must say they still look the same as the first day I unpacked them. I love its simple style and you can't beat the price, [...] The color is a little lighter than in picture when you put it under sunlight next to a window but under a lamp, it looks much darker close to the picture on the website. When you look at it briefly, you can't tell that I bought it for [...], though closely about 6 inches away I can tell it's not made of top quality wood. But not even my husband notices that. I love how the drawers slide very smoothly. The design is also very functional. I would buy these again if needed.
