I purchased these last summer and have enjoyed them every night since then. The solar panel is on an extender, so amazingly stayed above the deep snow for most of the winter. We have them strung in a plum tree and the lights reflect on the blossoms in the spring and they seem to glow. The lights stay on all night until sunrise! I'm going to purchase another set this afternoon. Glad Target still sells them!(There is usually a protective film on the solar panel that must be removed and there is a n "on" switch on the back of the panel that must be activated.)

I've had these lights a week and I really love them! Must remember to take off the battery cover, and make sure you turn the on/off button on. The first night after charging they wouldn't turn on until I hit the on/off button again to turn them on. Since then I haven't had to touch them. Come on automatically every night. One set is even still on at 6.00 a.m. or so in the morning! Going to buy a third set!

I had the worst time with these lights at first. No where in the directions does it tell you to remove the plastic from around the batteries before you install them. Once I figured that out and got over the fear I was ruining them, they worked fine. I have had them for only a month, so we will see how long they last

So far I am very pleased with these Globe Sorar lights. The out put of the lighting is bright. One string was not enough. I just ordered 5 more strings. The lights add a nice warm glow to my yard. [...] I will need to order more for the effect that I want.

These lights are ok. I bought them for the back yard and they definitely work. They are just not as bright as I hoped, but many solar powered lights lack that luster. Other than that, they work fine. Come on every night. Just make sure you remove plastic coating around batteries and put solar panel in good spot.

I installed two strings along our deck over a month ago. We were impressed with the amount of light they give off - makes sitting on a deck at night a joy...not too dark, not too bright. Upon the initial install, I read that you need to turn them 'on' in order to charge AND that they should be charged for a full 12 hours before their first use. Since I work overnights, I simply waited to turn them on once I got home from work. I was able to tell they were turned on, simply because they did illuminate for about 30 minutes before the sun hit the solar panel. I read reviews from others who said they had difficulties...but if you make sure you remove the plastic from the battery, DO NOT TURN THEM 'ON' unless you have the ability to charge them for minimum 12 hours and make sure the solar panel is exposed for those 12 hours - you'll have no problems!

I've been trying to charge these lights for 2 days. How can you tell if the solor panel switch is on?

I purchased several of these sets last year, and they are amazing. Stay lit until dawn. The packs I bought this year are much shorter....shorter space between lights, there is only about 6" between the last light and the solar collector. Lastly, the solar collector is much smaller with only 1 rechargeable battery... Last years' had 2. Surprisingly, they work as well as last years', but the tiny chord makes its use very limited. I want last years' back!

I wish I had read the other reviews first. It is obvious these are sub standard. Target should withdraw them and stop wasting customers time and money. We bought two boxes and I was dissapointed that they did not come on that night. There is an on/off switch that the instructions say must be on for them to charge (no idea why). The problem is that this is just a push button under the solar panel and you have no idea if it is in the on or off position so we pressed the button once and let them c harge for a second day. That night still no lights. We tried charging the battery in an external charger and still no lights. We will be returning them tomorrow. I did remove one of the lights to look at how they were wired and to be honest its no surprise they do not last long. The outside insulation is simply stripped for a short length and hooked over a connecter on the fitting. These are junk do not waste your time and money.

bought these lights put them outside. never came on. thought maybe it was battery purchased a new battery, which the battery almost cost as much as the lights. still nothing! Target did let me return them without a receipt or package.
