The styling is amazing. When hung above a window/door you can't tell that it's plastic and aluminum. The curtain rod really blends with our midcentury modern-ish decor. However... You cannot use these one windows near corners of the room. I have one window centered perfectly on one wall in our bedroom. That one installed perfectly. My OTHER window is off center, about a foot from the corner of the room. This is the window that is causing problems for this curtain rod. The brackets fo rm a complete circle for the rod to slide through and the finials are glued into place so I can neither just set the rod on the brackets, nor slide the whole rod through and attach the finials at the end. I'm very disappointed in the design of this rod because I feel like it doesn't address problems that may arise when you have less than 4 feet of wall space between bracket and wall. [...]

Put this rod up tonight and it looks fantastic! Very modern and stylish. I read a few reviews stating that you cannot use this rod on windows close to walls, the window that I used it on is right next to wall so I just pulled the end off and put the rod through, then put the end back on. You just have to pull pretty hard to get it off because it is glued, and hit it hard to get it back on.

I bought one of these rods for our office/spare room and I absolutely love it! It looks super stylish, even though it's faux wood and plastic. (Honestly, once your drapes are up you can't even tell.) I love them so much I'm planning on buying at least three more in the future for the rest of our house. I just couldn't be more pleased!

It LOOKS like a wooden rod with stainless end caps. It IS a metal rod with plastic end caps. However, it's a well-made metal rod in 3 pieces; grooved to keep them from twisting. Set-screws in the brackets hold the rod in place and plastic covers hide the screws that hold the bracket to the wall. The drapes caught slightly where the inner and outer rods meet; the spouseman fixed that with small pieces of electrical tape on the top of the rod. You get what you pay for; this rod is more stylish an d sturdier than discount store rods, but not top-shelf designer quality. We hung it high on the wall where it looks good and works very well.

I love this drapery rod. I put it in my formal living room which has a very contemporary feel to it so this fits perfectly into the theme of the room. I also like that there are plastic covers to cover up the hardware that goes into the wall. makes it look very professional and clean. the only reason this product loses one star is that the the the silver end to the rods are very "cheap" looking. From far away they look metal, but at close inspection they look like cheap plastic. I've got big curtains, so you can't really see them that much, but still it loses a star.

We bought 4 sets and consider them a real bargain. We were about to get a similar look from another store for 150 per set then found these. Plastic yes, but once hung with drapes, they look good. And wow, what a savings for a clean, modern look. I rated them 5 star on quality because I'm basing it on the look for the price.

Our house is filled with retro, mid-century, and vintage furniture. This is one of the few affordable rods that I found that actually pleasantly blends with our furnishing. I've already received many compliments on it and plan to buy other one for my bedroom. There are complaints in other reviews about it not being wood - I won't want it to be. It would not be adjustable and the rings would not slide nearly as nicely when you open and close curtains if it was wood.

I am not mechanically inclined but I am very into home decor/design. I bought this rod in the store so I was able to feel the material before I purchased it. It looks like wood and has a grooved finish so feels real too, looks great from my viewing height. The rod is above a slider in my kitchen and perfectly matches with the stainless appliances and dark wood table. As for the visible grooves in the other review- simply place those toward the wall and they are not visible at ALL! I found them to be a helpful feature during installation. The hardware was easy to use and the rod looks awesome. I am not sure that I can find panels to do it justice! I am looking for a matching one for my living room, a perfect purchase at an affordable price.

This is not wood, just aluminum painted to look like wood. Bought the longer one which said it fit a variety of lengths, but you would have had to take a hacksaw to it to make it shorter. The center section slides over two end sections with a groove, and grooves and seams are visible close up. Finials are plastic-looking close-up. From a distance, it does look good. Best thing about the rod is the mounting hardware, which is quite sturdy and easy to install.

It is simple but very nice looking when it is on the window. I love it very much. The problem is I can't find the hardbacks at the store, I have order it online and pay additional ship fee.
