We had tried many formulas before switching to the Up and up brand. My son was gassy, fussy, constipated-even on the gentle formulas of the more expensive brands. We tried this brand on a whim, and will be keeping him on ... see more

I bought this product because it has the partially broke down whey protein. My son uses nutramigen now, and I thought the target brand might be a good alternative, now that he is older and his system is a little more mature. He had a severe allergic reaction, projectile vomiting, diarrea, rash..what I learned is that partially broke down formula is dangerous for a child with child's milk protein allergy. It is not hypoallergenic. I realize that the fault lies with me for not knowing this, but I think it's easy to make this mistake. If your child has an allergy, talk to your doctor before using this. I'm fortunate that my son did not have an even more severe reaction.

just love the value that target provides with their formulas! we tried the name brand and switched to this with no problems. helped relieve our child's constipation. only wish they offered the value size online instead of just the store.

Caused spitting up

We have a 3 week old and we discovered the Up and Up and the price was unbeatable. We decided to give it a try and by the 2nd bottle she was throwing up about two tablespoons at a time. We gave it until the 4th bottle and we made a midnight run back to the store to buy some Enfamil. Our baby never had problems with spitting up prior to the switch. I didn't have any Enfamil to mix with the Up and Up so we switched "cold turkey". It is possible that this is what caused the spit up. I ha d read online that when switching BRANDS only you don't have to mix them together that it's only required when switching from a milk based to a soy based, etc. So I'm not positive that mixing will help. If you read the reviews about only one of 10 babies seem to have a problem with this brand of formula so I would still suggest it to a friend. It's still worth looking in to if you are short on money.

Although i have no problem with the quality this is not a good value you can buy a 36 oz container for 19.99 coming out to 0.55 per oz but with this great deal you get 144 oz for 89.06 coming out to 0.61 per oz. All in all not a good deal math is great.

I started transitioning my baby to Up& Up when he was 3 months old. I started with one scoop of Up&Up & 3 scoops of enfamil for a few days, then 2 scoops Up&Up & 2 scoops of enfamil for another few days and so on. He never had a problem with the transition. He's now 6 months and 20 pounds so he's doing GREAT! I highly recommend target brand!

The Up & Up alternative to the [name brand] formula was not only easy on my baby's tummy but on our pockets as well. This formula provided my baby with all of the necessary nutrients at a fraction of the cost. My pediatrician was perfectly satisfied with this alternative and how it reflected in her development, during her first year of life.

My Sister-in-law recommended I try the up & up brand after using Enfamil for acouple of months. I was worried at first it not being "name brand" but he loves it and took to it really well plus I can't beat the price even with coupons from enfamil!

i really like this formula for my twins. i was giving them enfamil gentlease and then i found the target brand and i really liked that it was cheaper. however, recently the price went up which i wasnt so happy about. i emailed target about it and i didnt like the response i got. i also asked for coupons because i buy a lot of formula with twins and it was told no.also, i am having a hard time finding the larger cans in the 2 targets near my house.

We've been using this formula with my daughter ever since she was about 2 months old with no problems at all! We were using the name brand before and switched to "up & up" due to the much better price. The FDA requires all baby formulas to meet the same criteria and sure enough, when we compared this label to the one we were using prior to switching, all the numbers and ingredients were exactly the same so that's when we decided to switch. This has always agreed with my daughter's tummy and she's had no issues whatsoever. If I have to mention any negatives it would be that this brand doesn't dissolve as quickly or as well as the other one we were using before but as long as you shake it really well it's usually fine. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a gentler formula.
