We LOVE these cars! My son received them two years ago for Christmas when he was 1, he is now 3 1/2 and still plays with them regularly. They were some of the first cars/trucks he ever received. You really can't do better- totally durable, colorful, easy to use. These cars stand up to what a toddler/preschooler wants to do to them- we've had them in the bathtub, digging through several inches of sand at the beach, in the pool, you name it. They are entirely plastic except for the wheel axels, w hich are metal, but only got a little rusty from water play. And frankly, the bucket is the perfect size for carrying them. It's a convenient toy to bring with you when you need entertainment, just grab it and go. We've even used the bucket to hold other toys too. Also, you can find other cars/trucks/airplanes/boats/helicopters etc. that match this set and buy them individually, so my son gets a few more each year.
I know; it's kind of expensive for a little bucket of vehicles. But go ahead. You won't regret it. These things are wonderful. There's a nice variety, they're sturdy, and you don't have to worry about choking hazards. (I don't know why the site says 3 and up, the toy itself says 12-months and up.)My 20-month old son has had these for several months. He liked them from the beginning, but his real toddler truck mania just kicked in a few weeks ago, and since then he's been playing with these cons tantly.At first, I thought the wagons were kind of a waste. But that just shows I am not a one-year-old! My son loves them so much that now I wish all the pieces would hook together and tow each other. Highly recommended!
I got this for my grandson's 1st birthday, and he LOVES it! At first, I thought it was too pricy, but your baby gets a great selection of cars, planes, boats, train locomotive and cars, bulldozer, and maybe a helicoper! The vehicles are baby-safe, brightly colored, roll easily, and do not mark your furniture or floor. The boats float in the bathtub. All in a great bucket.

I bought these for my grandson's 1st birthday. He is now almost 3 and still plays with them daily! His brother is now 8 months old and he will be playing with them as well...they look brand new!! very well worth the price. The wheels are very secure, very well made and the bucket is great for storage! We need more toys like this!!
