Worked well, while it workedWith a five- year warranty I thought this would last that long. I purchased this in October of 2013 and it is dead already. (I have emailed customer service for help)
While it worked, it did keep our living room warm. However, dying when it is 28 degrees out is not a good thing.
I am hoping that Vornado CS will get back with me quickly, then I'll update this review.
We own multiple Vornado products and this is the second. The fans are outstanding, but this is the second space heater that has dead on us.

shuts off too quicklyThe heater worked fairly well for a while. However, whithin a couple of months the heater would start when turned on and then turn off within a couple of minutes.
I thoroughly cleaned the heater thinking that dirt and "stuff" might be causing the shutdown issue, nope.
I read many good things about this heater, but I hate it as it is so frustrating!

Waste of money.Whomever said this was a whole room heater needs a refresher course in public relations. After following the directions and setting it on high and glancing at my thermometer from time to time it only heated the room to 65 degrees. I live in a 40' 5th wheel and the living room where this god awful heater is being used to heat 100 square feet couldn't get past 65 degrees is a total disgrace. When I awoke this morning I was floored to see the thermometer registering only 56 degrees with outdoor temp of 41 degrees.
I would return this unit in a heartbeat if I hadn't chucked the packaging based on the wonderful reviews of this unit and feeling the packaging wouldn't be needed.

TRUE TO ITS PROMISETHIS PRODUCT REALLY PROVES IN PERFORMANCE AND WHISPER QUIET OPERATION. I LIVE IN A 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT WITH COMMERCIAL SIZE AC/HEAT UNITS THAT COST AN ARM AND A LEG TO RUN WHEN EVER NEEDED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY AND ALL! ESPECIALLY WITH THE COST OF UTILITIES IN THIS DAY AND AGE! :)

Give it a handOn the one hand, when it works it's great.
On the other hand, I've had several and they all quit working.
On the other hand, they all quit working within the warranty period.
On the other hand, Vornado and the delightful Brianne replaced them all without complaint for free.
On the other hand, even though they're free who wants to keep replacing their heater every year?
On the other hand, Brianne, with no prompting from me, offered to upgrade me at no cost to the VH2.
By now I'm a little shorthanded but the bottom line is; an unreliable heater but an extremely reliable company that goes out of its way to keep its customers happy.
And we have had a couple of VH2 types previously that are still plugging along so perhaps Brianne and I won't be seeing so much of each other. :)

I have to hand it to Vornado. I bought this unit and was disappointed with it. I wrote a review to that effect, and they got back to me quickly with an apology and offer to have it sent back. They are also going to replace the unit and will check on my satisfaction once I have that one. I have always had faith in Vornado due to the many things of theirs' that I have purchased. They have certainly restored that faith. I will remain a faithful customer of Vornado.

Great heaters, we have 2!This heater heats the room well. We have 2, one for each child's bedroom. Auto shut off when tipped over is a nice feature. Thermostat keeps temperature well and "sleep mode" when temperature has been kept constant. Quiet on low setting, we hardly use high setting. This heater has low and high settings with a thermostat of 1-7 levels. We keep the settings at 3 on low and this heats the bedrooms nicely. On/Off switch lights up when the unit is on/sleep mode. Was reluctant at first due to [...] but the quality of this product is high. Have had 1 heater for 4 years and the 2nd for 1 year. Will be getting a 3rd. These heaters don't collect much dust, very low maintenance. I dust off the vents once before I put them away for the season.

OOPS!First off, I have owned several Vornados over the years. Never had a problem. I just picked up this pvh style heater. It has a motor problem. I believe it could be a short. It draws WAY TOO MUCH current. It literally pulls the lights down in the house. The motor speed oscillates up and down constantly. Something is very wrong. WIll return it. Hopefully this was just a unit that QC overlooked.
