When I initially bought these boots, I raved about them. I recommended them to friends because it seems like a get value for the money. They looked nearly identical to the boots I paid three times as much for last year. They were very comfortable and the elastic stretches to accommodate wider calves. Three weeks later and I'm NOT pleased with these boots. The elastic on the right ankle suddenly stretched out in a weird way and now the boot looks ridiculous. I haven't worn them that many times as the Fall has been mild, so it's not from over-wear. If a product can't hold up for more than a few times of wearing, then it's clearly a waste of money. What a disappointment! Guess I'll be going back to my more expensive boots since they're worth the price.

These boots are great! I wanted to test out the look of these so I tested my mother and told her I bought them at a high-end department store, where I normally get my boots, for a lot more money. She totally believed me and wanted a pair for herself! I purchased these because I am no longer purchasing any leather goods. The faux leather on these are just great and I love the style!

i have been looking for a good, affordable riding boot to wear with dresses & skinny jeans. these are perfect, and i didn't break the bank. they are faux leather, but i don't care - these are nice, soft, and comfortable. and they look great!

I was looking desperately for some flat boots and found these at Target. They look fantastic! They are super comfy and true to size. These boots are awesome for the price. I can't wait to wear them out!

I found a black boot that will fit around my calves, finally! They are comfortable and look great with leggings and skirts. Yes, they look like a pair of Cole Haan's that I wanted, which were [..]. This was indeed a better buy and served the same purpose. Thanks!

These boots are great. Similar to the other women who commented, I have a difficult time finding boots because I have a larger calf. I wore these with straight leg jeans which were a bit thicker than usual and the boots were a little snug in the calves but they will stretch i'm sure. They are a great deal, for the price. The elastic on the calf of the boot stretches so it is great for larger calf women.

When I saw these boots, and the reviews, online I was psyched. I have some old worn-out boots that are similar that need replacing, and these looked really nice. The stretchy elastic was also a pro because I have very muscular calves. I ordered these boots, but when they arrived I was disappointed. I put them on and they barely zipped, and I can't imagine wearing them for more than a couple hours without them leaving deep marks in my legs. Without the elastic there is no way they'd fit, and my calves aren't THAT big compared to many women. However, the ankles look saggy and aren't fitted at all. They almost look like they're supposed to be slouch boots, which they aren't. The boots on look ridiculous, but I guess that's okay since I can only wear them under jeans since there's no way I could hope to tuck in skinny jeans or even leggings. The boots off are very attractive and seem well-made. I just wish the calves were bigger and/or the ankles less slouchy.

Normally I have a very hard time buying boots because my calves measure 16 inches. Boots are typically made with a 14 inch circumference around the calf, which means I have to buy "wide calf" boots. But surprisingly these boots do fit my calves, but are snug. They would probably fit most legs, however, since they have elastic around the calf and adjustable buckles to make them tighter or looser. Also, these boots do not look as cheap as they are. I recently bought some boots from DSW for 100 dollars and they look a lot cheaper than the 40 dollar Target boots! Now I must wait for Houston's next cold front in order to wear them...

I have the hardest time finding boots due to my calf size, somewhere between narrow and "normal". These fit beautifully. They don't look as cheap as the "con" review claims. Granted, they're obviously not {..} boots - they're not too cheap looking though. I recommend them!
