You are the most important person in your child's reading life. Find out how to make reading a rich experience for your child and your whole family.

Choose your child's age and get started:

18 to 36 months. Toddlers are starting to grasp size, color, shape and time.  Read books that reinforce these concepts. 3 to 5 years. Look for books with simple plots, rhyming books and books that call for participation. 5 to 7 years. Let your child in on the act.  You read a sentence or two, and then let him take a turn. 7 to 9 years. Suggest that your child read to younger siblings or visually challenged grandparents.
