Exactly what I wanted, a good bright lamp. This takes three 100-watt bulbs so gives out a lot of light, but has a variable switch if you want to dim a bit. Only little hiccup was the tube from the shade to the handle -- the part built to be height-adjustable -- slipped inside the wider part of the of the pole and took a bit of finagling to get back out. A minor blip. Everything fit together easy peasy and I have an attractive, functional lamp. Perfect! see less

Quality product, easy to assemble, nice style. Three lighting settings offer flexibility. The only problem I've had is that the small on/off knob comes unscrewed too easily during everyday use. I would recommend this lamp. see less

If you buy this lamp, be gentle with it. I can be a little rough with my stuff and now the switch is broken and the lamp shorts when I swing the head upwards. I've only had it 2 months. Also it was kind of crooked when I got it. Style rocks though! I like it so much I'm going to buy another one anyway. see less

I really have nothing good to say about this lamp and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their money on this. I would have been better off buying a flashlight. This not only doesn't provide much light at all, but it tips over if anyone brushes against it. Do not buy this lamp. see less

Putting it together was "OK", I had a bit of a thredding issue but, with some muscle was able to power through it. Plugged the thing in and it didn't light a thing. Very dim. Changed the bulb thinking maybe that was the issue. Nope. To make a long story short, after my husband painted the inside white to help it reflect light it is tolerable. As long as we keep it ponted at the wall. see less

I bought one of these for my husband last Christmas, then I wanted one for myself. This lamp is really nice. The brushed silver is pretty, the shade prevents the light from being overwhelming, and the tilt arm lets us both adjust to exactly the height we want. It sits unobtrusively beside my chair. It is slim and does not obstruct ones view. The foot switch is great--my husband went one step further and added a dimmer switch that is also an off/on, which worked out great. A wonderful lamp at a very good price. see less

Just bought this lamp at my local Target. It requires minor assembly by connecting the three pole segments together with threaded connectors, and then connecting the pole to the base with another threaded connector. The problem with my lamp is that the connectors where the base meets the pole does not fit. No, I did not strip the screw's threads. I was very careful knowing I was only going to do this once. It's as if they have come from the factory pre stripped or crooked. The pole will connect partially but then jam up short of a full seal. In short, I now do not have a lamp AND I have a pile of target's garbage littering my living room. [...] see less

A advantage of shopping on line is to read the reviews before purchase. I was very disappointed in this item, very difficult to put together, and it should not be, 3 poles need to be screwed together, good luck with that, they are all different turns and the last one into the base is unbelievable. What should take maybe a half a hour went into a hour or so, it is leaning to the side, I will chill and attempt to find out why. PS this is the second lamp, first one I had to return. see less

Max wattage wrong

There are several choices ... see more

There are several choices for 3/4 height floor lamps on this site. I chose a more expensive lamp largely because the product info stated that the lamp could handle a 150 watt bulb--that's a really powerful lamp. The lamp is here and looks nice but inside the shade is a sticker which clearly indicates that 60 watts is the largest bulb it can accommodate. Disappointed that Target can't get basic product info right. see less
