I saw this advertised in this magazine I got at the grocery store called Find It! Sourcebook for Parents. It's so beautiful in person and a nice bed to have someplace other than the nursery, like if you have a two story house and want a substantial sleepign space for your baby downstairs. As for what the previous reviewer said, the assembly instructions and the manufacturer's web site that i checked before buying both are very clear about the width of the item and the doorways issue, so it's not like that information is being hidden. Also, the safety warnings for any bassinet are very clear that you are never to move a bassinet with the baby inside of it so never do that! I did my homework before buying and this bassinet does pass current safety standards. Target Guest Relations says that they require this of any product they sell. see less

I am a firm believer to do research before buying. (I've gotten burned on [another site] before!) I checked out this bassinet on a couple different websites, along with the manufacturers website, and felt very assured that this was going to be a good purchase, plus Target has great prices! I was very pleased with this beautiful bassinet.The finish of the bassinet itself was great. The bedding is soft and I have received so many compliments on how pretty it is. Black Toile is a non-traditional choice, but it has knocked my friends socks off!I highly recommend this bassinet for its unique look, its sturdy construction and overall quality and price. Just received our new bassinet in the mail and I had to write quick my first impressions. The assembly was easy. It is a very sturdy bassinet. The mattress pad is firm, which it totally what I wanted. Soft cushy pads or mattresses are very unsafe for babies. Please do your research on the types of bassients that are safe and purchase one like this. see less

I actually got mine at Walmart, but they are the same thing. It's got a pretty waffle weave texture, but it looks so nice. The area where the baby lies is huge. I believe it's 33". My husband and I didn't use the wheels because they made it wobbly, but without them, it's sturdy enough. The bedding is supposed to be that thin, it reduces the risk of SIDS. There is even a hidden shelf!I just believe this is going to be perfect for my little one and I can't wait until she gets here! see less

Just got this [...], speedy delivery time, I was very impressed with that. The box was in good condition when arrived.Assembly was quite easy, instructions were well written. All parts and pieces were accounted for and in good condition.The bassinet seems to be a very sturdy constuction, no wobbling or wiggling. I am still debating whether to use the caster wheels, as I don't intent to move the bassinet.Overall, it is a very elegant, well made bassinet. I would recommend. see less

Beautiful! Easy to put together! Stain on wood is lighter than pictured, but still beautiful! Wheels around the house easy. Stain is a little strong smelling but am sure will go away with time. Storage shelf under skirt will be useful! What a Great family heirloom for years to come. I would recomend this bassinet to anyone! Spend a few more dollars and buy this :) see less

I BOUGHT THIS BASSINET FOR MY NEICE, WHO IS EXPECTING HER 1ST BABY IN DEC. HER BABY SHOWER WAS LAST WEEKEND. EVERY WOMEN AT THAT SHOWER THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT SHE RECIEVED. I BOUGHT WHITE BECAUSE ALTHOUGH SHE IS HAVING A GIRL, SHE PLANS ON HAVING MORE CHILDREN. SHE FELT SAFER (NOW THAT SHE HAS A BIG ENOUGH BASSINET, STURDY, LARGE ENOUGH BUT ABLE TO FIT IN TIGHT QUARTERS IN HER BED ROOM) NOW THAT THE BABY WILL BE AT HER BEDSIDE FOR AT LEAST 4-5 MONTHES. We bought this for our daughter - what a lovely bassinet! And it comes with storage underneath that is "hidden" by the drapery. I wouldn't suggest storing anything to heavy - we put a box of diapers and it warped. But I would definately buy this again! see less

I got this in 2005 for my son. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for quality was that it arrived with a cracked slat, which I had to replace myself-which was far simpler and faster than returning it to the manufacturer! It is easy to set up, easy to take apart afterward- we've been through an overseas move, back and forth, and it has come through with the most minor of scrapes which were the fault of military-contracted movers- the finish is beautiful & durable. I am getting ready to put a third baby in it this summer. A side note- I never put the wheels on it, since I didn't think the baby would like feeling unsteady with every wiggle. It's still a great height, and so roomy that I used it until my last two babies were starting to sit up. I love the style and I highly recommend it. see less

The mattress is thin, like other reviewers stated but infants are not supposed to have soft, big mattresses because if they roll over onto their stomachs and can't roll back over because it is too soft it becomes a hazard. see less

I fell in love with this bassinet the minute I seen it. Once we received it we put it together and got ready to wash the bassinet bedding (since there were ribbons I put clear nail polish on the ends since ribbons love to unravel). Couldn't wait to dress the bassinet and like I expected it looked gorgeous!!!! Once the big day came and we had a baby to fill the bassinet I couldn't wait to put our newborn in the bassinet. She loved it - just like I knew she would. She's 3 months now and soon will have to be switched to a crib but what a lovely heirloom. see less

We bought 3 of these for our triplets. Due to their size and weights they work perfect. They're light weight and easy to move. When my husband is out of town and I stay at my mothers for moral support they pack up easy and can be used at her house without filling the trunk with 3 beds and no where for diapers, bottles, etc. They're great. see less

We put it inside the crib since our son is such a vigorous kicker. He was pretty big (9 lbs, 3oz) so we only used it for a month but it helped him learn to sleep in his crib and fall asleep on his own. At first we turned him so his feet and head were touching the sides, then as he grew he became more comfortable sleeping in the middle of the basket. Then it was a small step to sleeping in the big crib. Now we use it as a toy basket. Tie double knots on those ribbons, though. And we wrapped a recieving blanket around the mattress most of the time instead of the sheet that came with it. see less

Yes, these do pill, so launder them separately. Other than that, they fit both my bassinet and work well in the middle of the crib. The new ones and some hand me downs of the same brand both work just fine at stopping leaks and preventing the mattress from getting nasty. I use them under the sheets. I am using these bassinet pads for my Slumber Time Elite by Simmons Kids Gliding Bassinet. They are a couple inches too short and slightly too wide. This being said, they will still serve the purpose they are meant for- and will fit just fine under a fitted sheet. They are very soft and seem like a good quality. I think itll be nice to have extras for nighttime accidents. see less
