I just picked this up today to replace my old Hot Tools pink straightener which died on me when I took it overseas. I'd normally go to [retailer], but hey, Target was closer and I wanted my straight hair back. Prices were exactly the same - I compared online - and while I knew this wasn't the CHI original, I knew I could trust the quality and the name so I gave it a try. I'd normally use my Hot Tools at 430 degrees, and although this CHI Air only goes as high as 410 degrees, it still did the trick. Straightens quick, no need to go over my hair twice - and I have thick naturally wavy hair. Gets pretty hot too. In fact, my only complaint would be that the outside part of the flat iron gets pretty hot and so be careful not to hold that part - although you don't need to anyway. see less

I am BEYOND impressed with this flat iron. I have very thick hair that is prone to frizz. I used my new iron this morning and I couldn't believe how well it smoothed my hair. It literally only took 5 minutes to straighten out my thick, semi-course hair to straight, soft and looking just like my salon stylist does it! I didn't even need to blow dry it or use any product to achieve the final result, and it's been holding all day. It's capable of high heat, and heats up very quickly. The thing that surprised me most is how comfortable it is to use. My other flat irons would pull my hair, but this is so sleek... it feels like AIR! I am in love. Totally worth the money. It may look like other irons, but I promise, it's leaps and bounds better than it's cheaper competitors. I'll never go back. see less

I have curly hair and I would never try to straighten my whole head with this but it is great for touch ups like bangs especially when traveling. It's small and compact and easy to use. Heats up fast just like the full sized chi. So I would recommend unless you have a big job then I suggest the full sized chi. Either way I'm a fan of the chi when wanting to take my hair from curly to straight. see less

I got this straightner in hopes to be getting a great deal. I was wrong. I have had it a little over a week and plan on returning it today. It takes forever to straighten a small piece of hair and leaves your hair looking frizzy and fried. The straightner I had before this was not name brand or compact, but worked a lot better than this one. see less

This Chi flat iron heats up and reaches the desired temperature very quickly as you can watch the degrees rise. It is not hot to the touch where it needs to be held to flat iron or curl hair. It leaves the hair silky smooth after one pass through. I am very pleased with it. see less

This CHI heats up quickly, is lightweight, and actually "grabs" my hair. My hair is fine and with other straighteners I've had to squeeze the ends together in order for it to effectively work. see less

I have relatively curly shoulder length hair, and I've owned a lot of straighteners. I'd heard that Chi's were good, but this one at just [$] is AWESOME! Easily the best straightener I've ever had. I used to have a [$] one, but when that broke I got this and am so glad! It warms up in seconds, is pretty small and cute, and straightens my hair within 15 minutes. I love it! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. see less

I was a little iffy about ordering this product from the reviews I read on the white one. Everyone kept saying they had problems with it not working after a few months, the cord split, etc. I've had mine for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! People must not be taking care of it like they should.. I use it daily and can't believe how hot it gets. The only thing I'd change about it is I wish it had heat settings because sometimes it gets a little too hot for me. Another thing is it tugs on your hair just a little bit, but it's hard to find a flat iron that doesn't. The nail polishes are also very strong and a pretty color. The bag comes in handy too. This is definitely worth the money! see less

I have naturally curly, thick hair, and always like to keep it straight. I have tried different brands of products, and the Chi is one of them, and I must say I prefer other brands are way better than the Chi. Lately I have been using a very good straightener that leaves the hair soft, shiny and super straight, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro with ceramic tourmaline plates to avoid damages, it heats up really quick and it works very good because it only takes me a very short amount of time to get my hair completely straight. Plus I have no problems with frizz see less

Chi has always been hyped up bc it was used in Salons and is said to be the best and all this. Ehh..I don't really think so. At this price, if you have never used one and have been wanting one for a very long time (normally between $ -$ ) GET IT! The price jumps around depending on how the product is selling of course. BUT don't say I didn't warn ya. This is my opinion--so take it lightly. There are way better straightners out there than CHI. I got the Chi in 2004- from a Salon/Store I worked at in high school and it was the first time I used it and it worked great for almost 5 years ya! As soon as it "died" stopped getting hot..my sister actually had gotten one before I could so we shared- BUT the model was diffrent and the material used was more slippery and would fall out of your hand and burn you as you caught it so it would not fall on floor and break. It lasted for like 9 mths not even and with most returns being 30-90 days there goes the $ bucks you spent, why do you want to replace products like that every year? SOOO all in all the CHI is an ok product but they have gotten cheaper on the materials used to produce them and they do pull your hair out- everyone that has one or tried you must agree! see less

Was looking for a heat protecting spray to use on wet or dry hair before I blow dry my hair and straighten it & i stumbled upon this stuff and thought i would give it a try. I had heard good things about Chi products in the past & since i use a Chi straightening iron, I figured it would be good. Well, i love this stuff. I use it everyday and spray it evenly throughout my dry hair right before I straighten or curl it. It smells lovely & doesn't make my hair greasy or weigh it down. My hair feels super smooth and soft afterwards, i love it! I would highly recommend this product. I am almost out of my first bottle and definitely plan on purchasing another one! see less

Really liked this product, it had pretty good results, except it doesn't have the best smell. I use this everyday before school, and my hair stays smooth, and straight all day. I would reccomend this product to ladies who want a great finished straight look. see less
