I am surprised at the poor ratings this microwave has gotten. I think it is great, especially for the price. Maybe it's because I don't use my microwave for cooking full meals. I use it for popcorn, warming leftovers and making frozen vegetables. For these purposes, I couldn't ask for more. The foot print is small, yet it holds a large dinner plate. Easy to clean, inside and outside. I would purchase again see less

My husband,before he was my husband, bought this in 2009 for his then apartment - probably most for the color. He's loved it - I frankly think it's just a microwave, but I don't have any complaints about it either. It does the job and is easy to use. We've had it about 3 years and haven't had any problems with it. We've moved to a new apartment and my husband hates that he can't use it since our new place came with a built in over-head microwave. I have had this microwave for 5 months and it works very well. I have not had any problems with the door jamming. It heats quickly and I like that if you push the popcorn button twice, it automatically lowers the power and the amount of time it cooks, so your popcorn won't burn. I bought this to replace a Magic Chef that had broken down one too many times. From the time I opened the box, it tool less than 2 minutes to setup. I like the controls and features, and it looks very classy. The only con is that the fan is fairly noisy, but hopefully that will prevent it from overheating and melting down! see less

I have had my sharp for 10 years now and it is still so powerful! The only reason that I had to buy another one my light just went out and because I am redecorating my decor did not match my old white one. I refused to look at any other brand and I am glad that I stuck with another sharp...I always have to warn people that 60 seconds is all you need to reheat anything in a sharp! see less

I'm not sure why I didn't check to see if the microwave had a timer. I figured for the price, the time would be automatic. I purchased another brand microwave for 1/2 the price and it had a timer. I decided to purchase this microwave because the microwave I had prior to my other one was a Sharp Carousel and it lasted more than 10 years. So far, so good but kind of upset about the timer issue. see less

Item was shipped to me. Heated a cup of coffee in the microwave it worked fine. Removed trim and pulled old microwave from cabinet. Installed new microwave. Reinstalled trim. Later that night I decided to reheat some leftovers. After 5 min or so the microwave started making a loud noise & vibrating very bad. Noise stopped then panel went dark. No power to the front panel. Left it alone for 10 to 15 minutes. Made a beep & the power came back on. I am returning this unit & getting a new one. I like the look of this microwave & it has all of the extras for a good price. Just hope the new works OK. see less

I highly recommend this microwave. Looks great, power 900watts and the price. WOW. It's quiet while running, timer is not annoying, just beeps a couple of times just loud enough. I bought this microwave because it looks good, it's cheap, and it has decent wattage and a turntable. I'm surprised to see people knocking it for not lasting more than 2 years, but what do you expect for [$$] bucks? It heats my food and beverages quickly, quietly, and thoroughly. And the blue lights are cool. It has sufficient space inside for a dinner plate or an 8x8 inch casserole pan. Overall, it's a fantastic buy. Too bad it's not made in the USA. I'd have paid another [$$] bucks for THAT feature. see less

This microwave works great except for the door that doesn't open properly all the time - it sticks! I had seen this in some of the reviews I had read but was hoping that mine wouldn't. After getting frustrated, I was ready to return it but decided to read up more on it. Some generous soul had posted an advice that worked great and has fixed my problem for now. Just loosen the cover screws on the right side of the microwave. Apparently there is some tolerance issue with the mechanical parts but this is a 30 sec fix that's worked for me. Purchased two years ago. A year ago we started to having issues with the door not closing properly without slamming it, otherwise the microwave would not run. Panasonic said that since warranty expired, go get it fixed. Panasonic has always been my number one choice because of their high quality items, but I will avoid their microwaves from now on. see less

This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. Panasonic needs to stick to making tv's and not kitchen appliances. The latch mechanism is broke or at least that is what it seems and you need to open and shut the door many times just hoping it will work,this was after only a few months of normal household use and my previous oven I owned for approx. 7 plus years with no problems. I haven't even had the oven for a full year. Contacted Panasonic and the only thing I can do is find my receipt to prove date of purchase and take it to a local dealer of repairing appliances and hope they can fix it without charging me. In the meantime I will have to purchase another inexpensive microwave to use while mine is being repaired as I have busy teens and college students in the house who need to warm things up in a hurry. I would not buy another Panasonic and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone...try another brand...[...........] see less

We purchased this microwave a couple of weeks ago and have nothing but great results with it. Our old microwave lasted for about 10 years however it was small and our plates would not turn properly inside of it and it started cooking unevenly. This microwave is a good size, and all of our plates fit into it and the cooking time is significantly lower than our old microwave, it also cooks everything evenly.
