It is a good storage case for all those "little" die cast cars and extremely portable. Makes it easy to organize all those cars. The foldout race track inside also adds a fun element. My only complaint would be that the race track easily detaches, but it is easy to reattach. see less

My son who is almost 3 has a blast with this car and it's worth the price. It's a great start off car. Since we're Italian and Francesco is my dad's middle name it's a great remembrance of him. Actually I am guilty of playing with it too. It's pretty hilarious! The whole family had enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend this item! see less

These are the typical Match Box sized cars, not the bigger ones sold from the Disney Store, so they fit generic tracks and cases. I got my 3-year-old this pack to add to his collection and he loves every one. I liked that this pack included both Cars 1 and Cars 2 characters, but he's much more into the "Racers" from Cars 2. We actually used as potty training incentives and he got to pick a car for every success. These are definitely more expensive than the typical car, but he loves the characters and will pass up any of his other generic cars and trucks for the Disney characters. They also have great resale value once your child outgrows them, trouble is my son won't leave home without 1, or 12!, of them and he loses them all over! see less

My 3-year old son plays with these cars daily and isn't particularly gentle with them either. I'm amazed at how well they hold up and how creative he gets with them. Definitely worth the $. see less

We have bought many an r/c car over the years, and this is by far the best. It is simple to use, durable, and responsive. Our 9 year old takes it up and down the side walk, the walkways, even can drive it "curbside" if he's careful. It has fallen off the curb a few times, jumped off a made up ramp, and through some sprinkles (not completely getting wet), and works great. You may not be able to tell, but as you turn the wheels left and right, the eyes move left and right, which is pretty cool too. I can't recommend this enough as a well made, easy to use r/c car. see less

my son has the whole cars 2 set up for geotrax. However Mater is extremely slow even when the batteries are changed *which we pretty much do EVERY DAY! Now besides having to change the batteries constantly ....he only works backwards..so we try to make a game out of it with Mater's backward driving skills... not worth the money see less

My son rec'd this plus several other of the Cars2 set pieces at his birthday party less than two weeks ago. We are now on our second Mater car w/remote for the GeoTrax system. Both have faulty on/off buttons. On the first Mater, the button would not engage so it stayed on permanently. ---Went through too many batteries that way. I exchanged it for the same thing thinking my son had just received a "Bad One". On the second Mater, the button engages but does not stay down when you push it down to turn it off. Literally, we have to wedge the button under the edge of Mater's roof to get it to stay down and off. I actually resorted to taping the button down when my son is not using it. Very poorly designed and the price was not cheap either. Very disappointed in Mater's On/Off button. I definately would not recommend wasting money on this. Now we have quite a bit of the Cars2 set and feel like it was a wasted invenstment since the remote car won't work properly. Maybe Lightning or Francesco remote cars do not have this same problem but clearly there is a design flaw in the Mater remote car. see less

My 2 year old loves cars and has all the geotrax sets handed down from his brother. Of course, I was thrilled to find out that they now made Cars characters for geotrax. Unfortunately, this product short circuited and Mater stopped working. Tried changing out the batteries but to no avail. I will try to change for a new one, if possible. The product worked for less than 1 day and < 1 hour of use. see less

I also noticed that this is not the correct listing of cars like the other reviewer. Although all of the cars are great, we all know kids can be particular about their "favorite" character or you specifically want to add different cars to your current collection so the specific characters included are important. I could be mistaken, but I think that in stores they have the 2 different 7 packs on the same shelf spot, could be part of the problem with Target.com having the same set of cars listed for both variety packs, but I hope they update the online listing. see less

This toy is so much fun for all ages. It keeps the kids entertained for hours. The more you shake it the further it goes and it seems as if each car has its own speed, but that could just be my opinion. It's fun to collect multiples and race or to just play solo. see less

We got the first set of these for my son's 5th birthday...Lightning worked great out of the box, Francesco did not. They were returned and set number two came home. Same situation. Francesco would move and then stop. Tried fresh batteries but same problems. Guess this set goes back and we look for something else. see less

My boy loves the sound effects, the missles and easy to drive. There has been NO problems and this toy has held up to my boy crashing it into his other toys, throwing on the floor during tantrums and it still works perfectly. I'm impressed, it's one of the first toys ...let alone a remote toy that has actually seemed to be made with a childs rough play in mind. Excellent purchase! Car req. 4 AA batteries and Controller req. 3 AAA batteries. see less
