[...] bought this for our son's first birthday. He likes to make noise and finds it interesting to try different objects on the "keys" to see what sound it'll make. Nice that the mallet is attached however the string doesn't seem quite long enough.
This item was purchased from my baby registry. Mom and Dad used the toy when Baby was too little and Baby gradually took over. Baby is now 10 months old and loves it. Aids in development of motor skills. Mom and Dad have fun playing Name That Tune.
Item was given to us as a gift and we have a similar item/product that we actually like a little bit more. The problem with this is that the shapes do not stay together and my toddler son gets very impatient that they do not stay together! Some of them do not even 'click' in at all. I was very excited to get this but very disappointed in the product as my son gets more ticked off (he's not even 2 yet) when he plays with it. He is expecting more of it to stay together and sometimes we just have to pick it up and put it away before he starts throwing the items around. I do not recommend this block set. This would be a better product if these would be a tighter fit. If it was not a gift I would take it back and get my money back. If there is anyway to get a refund, we would take it.
I never write reviews, but this one is worth it.
I bought this since it was decently expensive compared to some others and was the same brand as an old one my church has that works just fine. This one is junk though. My 2 year old hates it. It writes fine, but you have to go over the board 5 or 6 times to get it 'cleared', and even then it leaves a heavy residue. It frustrates him enough to where he doesn't play with it. Maybe it'd be fine if he weren't used to the 'good' one where you slide it once and it erases in one swipe like we had in the good ol' days.
Luckily we paid less than half price for it on Black Friday. Don't waste your money on it though. We're looking for a better one.
