I just picked this up today to replace my old Hot Tools pink straightener which died on me when I took it overseas. I'd normally go to [retailer], but hey, Target was closer and I wanted my straight hair back. Prices were exactly the same - I compared online - and while I knew this wasn't the CHI original, I knew I could trust the quality and the name so I gave it a try. I'd normally use my Hot Tools at 430 degrees, and although this CHI Air only goes as high as 410 degrees, it still did the trick. Straightens quick, no need to go over my hair twice - and I have thick naturally wavy hair. Gets pretty hot too. In fact, my only complaint would be that the outside part of the flat iron gets pretty hot and so be careful not to hold that part - although you don't need to anyway. see less

I am BEYOND impressed with this flat iron. I have very thick hair that is prone to frizz. I used my new iron this morning and I couldn't believe how well it smoothed my hair. It literally only took 5 minutes to straighten out my thick, semi-course hair to straight, soft and looking just like my salon stylist does it! I didn't even need to blow dry it or use any product to achieve the final result, and it's been holding all day. It's capable of high heat, and heats up very quickly. The thing that surprised me most is how comfortable it is to use. My other flat irons would pull my hair, but this is so sleek... it feels like AIR! I am in love. Totally worth the money. It may look like other irons, but I promise, it's leaps and bounds better than it's cheaper competitors. I'll never go back. see less

I bought this Flat Iron to replace me Chi.. that I had for 5 years.. my daughter broke it, and I really didnt have the money to buy a new 200 Dallor straightener. well I LOVE THIS ONE. works just like the Chi, it does not rip out hair, and flattens in one swipe. SO HAPPY I bought this, no need to a Chi any time soon..and an added Feature my Chi did not have is a Temp gage, and a automatic shut off after 20 mins incase you forget to turn it off. see less

I have naturally curly and frizzy hair and lots of hair at that. My old iron that I'd recently dropped on the floor, broke and I had to get a new one because it was tearing my hair out. It took me about 2 and a half hours to straighten my hair with that iron. NOW it only takes me a hour and a half with this straightener. This iron is definetly worth more than just it's listed price! I usually straighten my hair and then leave it that way for about a week and I havent had to turn that iron back on once the whole week!! My hair is so silky, smooth and shiny it's ridiculous! I'd recommend it for girls who have thicker hair like mine rather than girls with somewhat already wavy or straight hair because it can get really unecessarily hot for that textured hair. see less

After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this flat iron and I'm really glad I did. Being on a TIGHT budget made me think my straight hair days were over, but when I saw the price of this flat iron and read the reviews, I went to Target and got it. I wanted to buy a cheap flat iron while my Sedu is going in for repair. This one gets my hair just as straight - I am very impressed. And the comb that attaches makes the process faster because I don't have to go over sections multiple times. Gets my crazy hair very straight! Heats up quickly and gets very hot. I have curly hair and I would never try to straighten my whole head with this but it is great for touch ups like bangs especially when traveling. It's small and compact and easy to use. Heats up fast just like the full sized chi. So I would recommend unless you have a big job then I suggest the full sized chi. Either way I'm a fan of the chi when wanting to take my hair from curly to straight. see less

I got this straightner in hopes to be getting a great deal. I was wrong. I have had it a little over a week and plan on returning it today. It takes forever to straighten a small piece of hair and leaves your hair looking frizzy and fried. The straightner I had before this was not name brand or compact, but worked a lot better than this one. see less

I have gone through about 5 [...] in the past 10 years. They work fabulous on my coarse, thick, long curly hair, but they tend to stop working out of the blue for no apparent reason. Never dropped or anything, just won't heat up or turn on. I decided I'd try something new but temporary to see what I liked instead of wasting hundreds of dollars on [...] that only last about 2 years. So I got this one, AND IT WORKS BETTER THAN ANY OF MY [...]. So perfect! Heats quicker, gets hotter, and makes my hair look silky smooth. I will definitely buy this product again and recommend to all my friends. Unlike the Chi, even if this doesn't last, it's just [$]. LOVE THIS!!! see less

I got this for my birthday when I was in high school, and I've had it for three or four years now. I have really long, mostly straight hair and i use it to touch up the parts that get wavy. I was very satisfied with how it worked, but recently a part came off at the back and now the straightener doesn't stay attached to the cord! But it was a [$] straightener and I got a good 3 years out of it. I'm planning on going back to Target and buying another one this week! see less

After years of using Remington flat irons, I purchased the Conair because I have been so pleased with their hairdryer. I don't have high expectations for my flat irons - I use them mainly to style my already straight, fine hair. This is probably the worst flat iron I've used in the past 10 years. The flat iron loses heat after each use. I haven't seen a hair appliance that takes this long to recover in years. I swipe the flat iron through my straight, fine! hair, and after 1 pass, the heating light is blinking again. Sit it back down. Wait. Repeat. Conair, AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. The power button is also badly placed. In between passes at my hair, since the flat iron had to recover each time, I put it back on the counter. At least 5 times, I hit the power button while putting it down or picking it up, a needless inconvenience and a waste of time. I should not be turning the iron on and off multiple times by accident. see less

I read about the Keratin infused flat iron by remmington in several magazines and decided to try it.I have always spent a lot more money on my flat iurons,but this product out performs alll other top name brands I have used and so affordable.It has been doing an amazing job on my hair-no frizz-yeah!!!! This Chi flat iron heats up and reaches the desired temperature very quickly as you can watch the degrees rise. It is not hot to the touch where it needs to be held to flat iron or curl hair. It leaves the hair silky smooth after one pass through. I am very pleased with it. see less
