The features in this set are totally above my expectations!
Firstly, I must say that the Police truck was my favorite part of this set-- rare colors (for a truck), high ground clearance and a lot of customizeability! Its tough, compact design makes it easy to play with, and you never have to worry about bricks falling off. It also features an opening hatch with a fairly large cargo compartment (which is quite simple to make even bigger).
The helicopter is tiny compared to most, making it easy to play with (and feature in videos). It has a lot of detail including a tail rotor and positional lights.
The Police station itself is designed to be played with, featuring an open back (making video recording a cinch!) and a lookout bridge.
The office has a detailed computer monitor and keyboard, a swiveling chair at the desk, and a cool coffee machine inside, with an access ladder in the back to get on the aforementioned bridge. On this bridge sit a radar system and a satellite dish, giving it a special 'forest' feel. Underneath the bridge there is also a cool opening gate.
The jail cell has a bunk, removable mailbox (for breaking out thieves!), and an open back for playability.
The roomy rock opens so you can stash cash (or maybe find evidence of a robbery). The tree by the rock is also very cool in structure, because you can place almost any LEGO object in it!
The Minifigures have awesome outfits: special Police uniforms and torn jail shirts!
The bear, crowbar, pickaxe and Police radio are very nice additions to my accessory collection!
No matter if you record videos, play alone, or play with friends, you would not regret purchasing this set. And even if you don't like the Police station, it comes with all the essentials for redesigning into any building you would need anyway!
My son just turned 5 and we got him this along with a starter Lego set to get him started and move on from the Duplo blocks. He worked with his Dad to put together and had a blast following the directions. It does have tiny parts so keeping his little brother away is a problem, but he's a fan of Lego's. I found Target online to have the best price and using my red card was even better. I feel Lego's in general are too pricey, but they encourage creativity and logic to put the kits together!
This set is beyond excellent, trust me
Good for avenger Fans
There are none!!!!!!!
As you can imagine I give the mini figures 100/10,
Go buy this set before it becomes discontinued.
One thing I would like to see in these sets, is a Lego Stan Lee.
This is a great set for the money. I love how Lego Marvel has been putting fantastic and rare minifigures in cheaper sets, as Nick Fury is obviously the highlight in this set and the reason I got this. Another example would be War Machine in the Extremis Seaport Battle.
SPIDER CYCLE: This is one of two vehicles in the set. Now the set is based off of cartoon Spider-Man shows, so its not exactly anything some of us might fully recognize, but once again, this set's main value is in the minifigures. The cycle is predominantly black and grey, as its main structure is with technic pieces, which allows the cycle's main feature: for the wheels to fold up(not unlike the Back to the Future DeLorean) so it can fly. The cycle is decorated with a few red bricks and a sticker on the front depicting a spider.
S.H.I.E.L.D. CAR: The car is colored green, though I would have preferred blue and gray, but like I said, this isn't for the Avengers, it's for Ultimate Spider-Man. The car also uses a fair amount of technic pieces to fold up into it's final shape. In the back is a slightly hidden flick-fire missile, though this time its the improved version that launches further (yay). The car seats two and is decorated on the hood and sides with S.H.I.E.L.D. stickers. Like the cycle, the car's most commercialized feature is the fold up wheels that give the impression of it's flight abilities in the show. Overall, a good car that goes great with Hawkeye's jeep.
MINIFIGURES: This, as said, is one of several Marvel sets that have put good and rare minifigures in less expensive sets.
-SPIDER-MAN: Spider-man is a new and improved version of the old sets from 2005 and 2006, and has a much more cartoony look. Currently this is the cheapest way to get him. The head has much enlarged eyes and webbing printed details, and his torso has webbing over blue and red patterns, with a black spider on the front and a larger, red spider on the back. His legs are completely blue, though I would have preferred some printing on them with a little more red, because he almost looks too blue. He also comes with a white rope piece to represent a web string. Overall, he's a good minifigure that is a great addition to your Marvel superhero team.
-VENOM: Venom is notoriously one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies in all Spider-Man media, having come close to revealing old Web Head's identity and killing him as well. He isn't my favorite of Spidey's adversaries, but he is exclusive. He has a black head printed with steely, large eyes and a fang filled mouth with his tongue lashing out. His torso is black with a steel colored mutant spider on each side. He has attached to his back some black vine pieces for some of the Symbiote, as well as two brick built Symbiote chunks seperate from him. A villain sure to last a while in any fight.
-NICK FURY: The grand spotlight point of the set. He is both movie-accurate and comic accurate, so no matter what you play you've got the right guy. He has black legs printed with ammo straps, and a bluish gray torso also with a belt and strap. His head is colored brown, and he has his black goatee and eyepatch to give him that final 'boss' look. The only downside is his weapon. Has anyone else noticed how LEGO keeps giving Marvel guys the old Alien Conquest guns? If you have extra stuff, it shouldn't be a problem, but it can get annoying when you stock up on those.
OVERALL: This is a great set with a good superhero and is worth the money just to get Nick Fury. I give this set a 5/5
This is by far the best lego marvel superhero set and in my opinion, one of the best lego superhero sets that is available right now. Almost every aspect of this set is above average.
It is really worth the price and more. There are alot of big pieces like the windshields, big gray curved slopes and the huge black bottom pieces in this set and yet it's still is less than $.10 per piece which is awesome. Also, you get not only get the quinjet, but loki's flyer too, which is nice because in some sets in this price range you only the "Main vehicle, plane, building, etc. ", and not something on the side to go with it.
Great minifigs you get all the avengers except for two all with great movie accurate detail and printing ( this the only set that you can get black widow) and Loki and his foot soldier, which complete this scene perfectly in the movie where loki's army is attacking and the avengers are chasing him in the quinjet.
Very well designed, it is a very sleek jet and it really looks like the quinjet in the movie. They captured the signature shield design perfectly too which the collectors will really like.
The inside is a little bit cramped and could use some more space to put minifigures but that doesn't matter to me cause I only collect and display the sets. Other than I've got nothing
So to sum it up, this is a great set with great value, awesome minifigs, a well designed quinjet w/movie accurate detail, and it is a necessary addition to any lego fan who likes planes and aircrafts and especially any marvel superhero collector's/fan's collection.
When I first saw this set I didn't want it but after awhile of seeing it in stores I figured okay and I really liked building it alot First is Loki's chariot I like because you can fit Loki on the back to sit or stand on the back while the Alien Foot Soilder flies around the Quinjet itself I really like alot but I have to say the only challenging part of the whole build in this set was putting the cockpit section connectied I really like how you can also put alot of figures inside the plane or make the back a prison area for Loki I also like the Shield drone that flies out from underneath the plane which I thought was a good idea also I like the fact that you can move the wings someway to make give the effect that the plane is flying the figures in this set are all just great and you get Thor and Loki which I think are okay Black Widow I like but with her long hair see looks like the version that was in Iron Man 2 I really like Iron Man in his Mark 7 armor. This is really an awesome set for anyone who likes Lego Marvel Super Hero's and if this plane were real in real life it would make a great military plane so if anyone is looking for a great set I would get this trust me you won't be disappointed at all.
it is my favorite set out of the 120 sets i have built. i only really don't like the fact that the wing tips move. other than that you get half of the avengers, their main enemy (in the movie), and a Chitauri warrior and deluxe speeder. i say deluxe in the fact that this speeder has the back compartment as opposed to the speeder in the Captain America set
-amazing detail and overall look of the quinjet. reminds me completely of the movie
-Mark 7 iron man
-amazing front cockpit
-extra space in jet
-seats in jet
-wing tips move but can be fixed with simple mod
-fair amount of stickers
I love the Lego Star Wars Rancor Pit! It's from the Jabba the Hut scene in Return of the Jedi. On the back of the box it says you can combine it with Jabba's palace. There's a gate that you can drop on Rancor. There's even a hidden compartment where you can put bones and a place where Luke can hide. There is a door that opens and if you wish the set was bigger, there's a little thing where the set opens up. Rancor can walk around and he can go Da da da da. I'm 6 years old and I put it together myself. The set came out this year. I recommend it to anyone who loves legos and star wars.
