The new clones are AWESOME!!!!!! The new AT-RT is way better then the old one!!!!! You get one of the commando driod!!!!! I would recomend this set for anyone who is a star wars fan and likes the old republic.
When I was little I had the Ultimate Lightsaber Duel (The one where if you pressed their heads, their lightsabers lit up) and the Jedi Starfighter & Vulture Droid and I loved them so much. And while this set doesn't have illuminating lightsabers it has a great set of minifigs, Anakin in his Sith Apprentice state, Obi-Wan Jedi Master, The first non-clone wars Nute Gunray, a security Battle Droid and R2-D2. I have to say these are just great. This Anakin has to be one of my favorite so far. The brand new Obi-Wan is just great. The security battle droid and R2 are regular but they had to be included. Lastly Nute Gunray is Brand-new and I really like how detailed he is. Now with the set, it's the first Jedi Interceptor in a while and I like this one as it is Anakin's last Jedi ship. R2-D2 fits in the wing nicely, and the cannons and weapons are quite nice. Overall it’s great, except for the stickers. Now to the rest. The platform and mining droid have clear bricks below them to give them a "floating" effect, and they are accurate compared to the movie.
Pros & Cons
R2 fits in ship
Brand new minifigures
Anakin's Mining Droid is higher the Obi-Wan's platform
Could've had more (honestly I wouldn't mind pay an extra $10 for a land piece and defeated Anakin)
Overall this is a great set and it's hard to find so I recommend that you buy it right away!
this set is awesome minfigures are great so is the ship and the two other things mini figures: battle droid only good if you want to build up an army nute gunrey good for playing with r2-d2 good if you dont have one anakin just awesome really cool new design and obi-wan he is by far my favourite so mini figures 5/5 and the ship 4/5 the wings always fall off it is so annoying other than that really good the other things 5/5 they never break and good for putting minifigures on and make them fight with each other the
cons anakin's black hand always tips to the left it's probebly just mine though and the ships wings
overall rating 5/5
This set is probably my third favorite LEGO Star Wars set that I have. BARC Speeder with Sidecar being second and X-Wing Fighter being first. (ALL MOST CURRENT VERSIONS). I would recommend this to any LEGO Fan or Star Wars Fan!
The set is great. I think the lego group have done an outstanding job on this set in all aspects.
The minifigures are awesome,I like the mix of separatist and republic and this set does not disappoint. The new jango is amazing and I like the fact that he is available in such a cheap set. Everything about him is perfect, to say we haven't seen him for over 10 years. The only thing is the guns, these could do with some improvement !!!
The set itself is brilliant and looks really nice on display as well as having plenty of play opportunity, what child wouldn't love zooming around the house with a tank ?
All in all another triumph for Lego, they have done a good job and I cannot fault them. Keep up the great sets Lego :):):) !!!
Finally a 20 buck lego star wars set. I was shocked at the piece price count of this set, 271 pieces AND 3 minifigures! What a sweet deal!
The only thing I didn't like about it though was the treads on the tank. If you put the amount of treads shown in the instructions (60), there a little lose, sag slightly and come off when driving sometimes. But if you minus one tread it becomes too tight and doesn't roll well either.
Jango Fett features the same head as the new Boba Fett.
Two of my buddies (and my sister) who saw the clone trooper's head were both a little surprised and thought it looked a little weird. I was kinda surprised too. Its just not a head you would expect to see on a clone.
I just received this set for my birthday. I had been eyeing it before, because of the great minifigures, the fact that it's an Episode II set, and the OUTSTANDING price per brick (PPB), which is only 7.3 cents per brick in the U.S. That is about as good as it comes with LEGOs! I know this is due to the 60 identical pieces used for the tread, but even if the tread was a single piece, the PPB would only be about 9 cents, which is still fabulous. It took me about 25 minutes to build this set, at your average pace.
The minifigures are the highlight of this set. A Phase I clone trooper with completely new printing, a red-orange battle droid from Geonosis, and (drumroll) JANGO FETT! Jango is actually entirely unnecessary for this set, but he is a welcome and beloved addition. I'll bet Lego has sold thousands of these sets to people who only want Jango. After all, this is only the second set this minifigure has ever appeared in (the first was Jango's Slave I starship in 2002), and until now we have been left to our own devices to make custom Jango Fetts.
The Corporate Alliance tank droid is very well designed and looks very cool. The construction was easy and sturdy. BUILDING TIP: to attach the treads I found it helpful to stretch out the tread inside-up and place the tank on top and towards the rear of it, so that when you bring the ends of the treads together it is easier to snap them in place. Several unique pieces are included here, such as translucent orange 1x2 plates, and the large circles.
In review, this set has great value for the minifigures and construction, as well as the price tag. My only legitimate complaint about the set is that the laser cannons do not elevate, and are fixed forward and stationary. However given the method of construction, I don't see how this could have been accomplished.
I love to see Lego star wars jabba sets be released like this.
Luke (jedi knight)
The skiff itself
Go out and buy you one before they go discontinued, its worth it all the way!
Fantastic set. Kithaba is a nice figure. LEGO added some printing to Boba Fett's legs, but otherwise he is just his usual awesome self. Lando is a nice figure with a fantastic helmet design. The only problem I see with the minifigures is that Han Solo is not included. Of course, if he were, then the fight would be uneven, but LEGO could have included a Gamorrean Guard as well. The Sarlacc can actually fit a minifigure in its tongue! The skiff itself has a nice storage area for blasters and just looks pretty cool. I'd say the highlight of this set is the Sarlacc, and I recommend you buy it to compliment Jabba's Sail Barge.
I just completed the Death Star this afternoon while watching through all 6 Star Wars movies (I pace my building efforts) over the last week, and if I had to choose a word to describe the experience it would be along the lines of "masterpiece" or simply "epic".
The moment I laid eyes upon the box and picked it up off the shelf my jaw dropped. I built Tower Bridge a month or so prior which contains a lot more pieces but the Death Star box dwarfs it in comparison and weighs a good amount as well. This immediately removed any doubt in my mind that the price to piece count ratio might not be the best. There are quite a few larger plates in this set so don't be (quite) alarmed at it's expensive price tag.
Upon opening the box my jaw dropped again as the instruction booklet for the DS is massive. 260 pages and larger then a regular piece of paper, I've never seen anything quite like it. My only complaint and this seems to be something common with many sets is that the dark grey and black can sometimes be hard to differentiate between. As long as you pay close attention and have a lot of light in your building space you'll be fine.
The minifigures are starting to look somewhat dated in terms of printing when compared to some more recent sets but that makes sense with the age of the DS (5+ years). I am more then satisfied with the 20 minifigures present as it allows something to be happening in every room.
I didn't find the build repetitive at all as Lego has you build platforms and then fill each room on that level each of which has different features. I didn't find myself thinking "really another 10 of these etc." like I have with some other sets recently.
As a finished model it is a nice display piece but the true feature of the DS is its playability. I found myself wishing I could be a kid again so it would be appropriate to re-enact Luke screaming at C3PO to "shut down all trash compactors on the detention level" or make "whoooosh" noises as doors opened and closed. This set is the perfect "Lego dollhouse" as I heard someone put it before. There is a near endless amount of playability to be found and my many nephews aged 5-11 were in awe when they discovered I had bought this.
With the release of Ewok Village I don't know how much longer the Death Star can stick around, and if like me you know how much you'll regret missing it then pull the trigger now. Trust me you won't regret it.
I have wanted to own this set for a long time and I finally got around to buying it. This set did not disappoint. This set took a long time to build; four days to be exact. The thing is, I think I could have completed the set in half the time if it wasn't for the set's one fault: the bag numbers. What I mean by that is that the bags are numbered 1-7 but there are at least 35 bags. I don't know if Lego will get in trouble for having more than 7 bags or what but it makes it very frustrating to sort through 5 bags at a time. I should also mention that I was missing a few pieces but most were replaceable with some extra pieces and the rest were replaced with pick-a-brick for free thanks to my VIP points. I also wish there were more trooper figures and maybe some officers to put in the meeting room.
-Great Mini Figs
-A Great Challenge
-Movie Accurate Rooms
-Needs More Troopers
-Throne Room Should Go Where the Droid Room is
The Death Star is a huge set. It is quite heavy, but still sturdy. The minifigures are chosen well and done well also. The set is incredibly movie accurate and I think the designers did very well this time. The minifigures are one of my favorite things along with the ease of access to the entire model. If anything, it could have used more stormtroopers, but this is easily remedied by converting Han and Luke in the stormtrooper outfits into soldiers. The potential for reenacting the events of Episodes IV and VI is enormous. The elevator works well and the many functions hidden in the floors mark this as a true UCS set.
Darth Vader's mini TIE Advanced
Not enough Imperials
Overall this is an excellent set. The only other problem is that Darth Vader's TIE is too small. However, it fits inside the Death Star and that is why it is too small. I think it works and is pretty cool besides.
I have been wanting a cannon for a long time to add to a warship and this fitted the description perfectly. Very easy to build for all ages and a perfect gift. The mini figure and cannon detail was amazing, and the flick missiles are always a bonus.
Fun and easy to build
Good value for money and is a great gift
Really cool and detailed mini figures
More mini figures? Always happy to pay a bit more for more troops
Cannon itself is a tiny bit flimsy
A great gift idea and perfect for people looking to add to their army.
SO EASY TO BUILD!
I don't usually buy clone wars lego sets. This one, I got from my aunt because the box was in bad shape, making it 50% off, $10!!! Anyway, it was a pretty simple build.
I liked the minifigures in this set because I didn't have any of them. You get Barris Offee, commander Gree, a geonosian, and a geonosian zombie. Barris is detailed very well. Commander Gree is amazing. Green all over! The geonosians have really cool wings, guns, and torso designs.
The cannon is really cool! It can move up and down. Usually, flick-fire missiles stink, but they were cool in this set. Also, a minifig can stand on the back of the cannon. It is a very detailed set!
Thanks for reading!
That ends another review by STARWARSLOTR123!
This a awesome set. The price isn't the best (should have been $15.00)
but it's okay.
Mini Figures: Barriss Offee is new and pretty cool, not much to say about her though.
Commander Gree is the best figure out of this set. He has nice green printing and a cool ammo strap. Awesome figure.
Geonosians are cool. The tan one is the same as the one in the Geonosian Starfighter except this one has wings. The "Undead" geonosian is a pretty cool. The printing is the same one as the other one except he has a grey color. He has wings too.
Geonosian Cannon: This a really simple build, it only took me like 10 minutes to build. It's a pretty cool cannon and it has (of course) two flick fire missiles.
So all in all it's a good set. Price isn't the greatest, but it does come with four figures, so i guess it's a decent price.
I would recommend it! Thanks for reading!
