Great looking stool and very comfortable to sit in. Took a little work to assemble, but the finished product is beautiful. The stool is extremely sturdy, and the swivel mechanism is smooth and quiet. The only problem with the 360 degree swivel, is the back of the chair will bang against your counter, if you are not careful, putting dings in the wood.All in all, very happy with the stool, the design, and the comfort. see less

I bought this set because it seemed like the price was right. Putting them together wasn't so bad, except screwing into wood..drill would make this 10x easier. It took me about 40-45mins to put together both chairs...while watching tv. I've had people sit on them a few times and haven't noticed any issues. I wonder about the quality of the seat cushion over time though. Someone sat in it for about 2hours and you could see it was worn, but the next day it "rose" back in to place. see less

If you've priced these stools elsewhere, you know that Target has the best price on them. They arrived well packed and without so much as a nick on them. Unwrapping them was probably the hardest thing about getting them ready to use. Putting them together was a simple task of screwing on the seats. The "imitation leather" seats won't fool anyone into thinking they're leather, but they look fine for frequent use in a kitchen. The shape is very cool, and that fact that they stack is fantastic, if you need to store them away from the counter. They're very lightweight, but remarkably sturdy. see less

Arrived VERY well packaged. No problems with assembly. Assembly only involves screwing the cushion to the frame. Overall looks very modern and streamlined in design. My only complaint would be that the cushion looks like the vinyl that it is. I was hoping to fool some into thinking it was leather- therefore 4 instead of 5 stars. see less

I found these at my local Target. Someone must have returned them, and I'm sure glad they did! I have beautiful granite counters and didn't want to have a back to the stools in my open concept kitchen. These are fabulous. Easy to assemble...sturdy. I swapped the feet for felt pads to save my HW floors. My 90 year old Grandmother loved them too! I love them for the Contemporary Spanish look. Enjoy! see less

The designer needs to boost the corners of the bottom plate. Two out of the four bar stools we ordered had the these bent. These are too heavy to return but we are going to try. They look simply beautiful along the large island in our wenge and chrome kitchen. TI am sure they will be a conversation piece! see less

I had been researching the internet for almost a month trying to find a very good looking bar stool. This one immediately caught my eye. It has great styling and the wenge color (which is close to a color like mahogany) looks very distinguished. A big advantage is that this item was shipped 100% assembled so it was ready to be used straight out of the box. Also there is some padding under the base a nice touch that should protect floors from scratches. The shiny chrome finish is on the base, the pole that the chair is affixed to, and where the foot rests. Since generally chrome is susceptible to scratching, it would have been better if it wasnt added to the foot rest. I supposed the designer put it there to give it a bar look. The base is 15.5 square inches. For such a stylish bar stool it would have been even better if the footprint of the base was designed to be smaller to give it a sleeker finish. Perhaps the designers should consider these suggestions in their next version of this bar stool.The bar stool was well packed. There was an inner plastic layer to protect scratching, an inner cardboard box, and an outer cardboard box. Of the three chairs I ordered, one had minor scratches (could have come from shipping I dont know) and another had tiny specks of chrome chipped from the base. This damage was extremely minor and not worth the trouble of going through an exchange. However, though the tiny specks of chipped chrome was not a big deal, I am not happy that the quality control department in the factory where it was made did not replace it before shipment. They placed the inner plastic cover/packaging over the chrome damage probably because they thought that customers would not care about such minor damage.Despite the minor damage, I would highly recommend this product because the design, look, and overall feel are outstanding. You just cant beat the killer looks of this product! Everyone who has seen it it my apartment keep complimenting me on its great looks and design! see less

I recently purchased the Carlson Barstool for my newly finished basement to place behind the bar; my only regret is I didn't buy two more. Everyone loved the style and comfort and was surprised when I told them where I had got them from. I bought 4 of these Flame colored stools. The color is best described as a tomato red. Really sturdy and easy to put together. You definately have to use your legs to get the stool to "swivel", it's not one of those "freely, spinning, around swivel motions" The red material almost has an appearance of a brushed suede. see less
