They look awesome! Glad i bought them. but 2 of the 5 packages i bought had burnt out bulbs. i finally after 3 trips to target had them plug them in at the service desk to make sure they were working before i took them home. and i'm glad i did because i would have had to make a 4th trip back. now that they're all working i love them! just test them at the store first. they'll be happy to plug them in for you.
Have had about 8 strands of these for over 3 years - didn't expect them to last that long, but they have! They are strung all over our backyard and create incredible ambiance. We get compliments all the time - they really make the backyard magical.
I don't understand people's comments about the bulbs breaking too much. They are glass. What did you expect? Be careful and they'll be fine. And replacement bulbs? At $12.99 a strand, just grab an extra to have on hand for the occasional replacement. Not too expensive, no big deal.
These are beautiful!!! I took the advice of taking the lights off of the strand while hanging, so glad I did. I put the bulbs back on after the wire was hung. I'm not sure where to get replacement bulbs when these burn out, so I bought an extra strand just for replacement bulbs, at this price it's worth it.
Before I start, I just want to tell you not to pay attention to the negative reviews. [...]
I've bought 9 packs of these lights, I only needed 8 but I thought I'd buy a spare pack just incase the bulbs didn't work or I accidentally break some as I also took into account the negative reviews as well. I ended up not using the 9th pack!
1.) Do not throw away the box/plastic container they come in, they come in handy when you put the bulbs away. And do not rip the cardboard that each bulb fits into.
2.) Some light don't work out of the box. The problem??? All the bulbs in the entire line are loose from the factory!!! Tighten them up about 1/4 turn and they all work fine and will not fall out. I bet some of the negative reviewers didn't think of that.
3.) Take care in handling the lights. If you've handled a baby before, you'll be fine handling these lights.
We've had these lights for a hawaiian party and kept them there for a week! Survived 2 days of rain and above 90 degree temps.
After reading the reviews and not finding anything similar in a comparable pricepoint, I decided to take the plunge and bought 2 strings of these lights. All of the bulbs worked out of the box, and I did remove all bulbs before hanging up the lights. The strings hung quite well and weren't too crimped coming out of the box. After the bulbs were hung, it took about 10 minutes to put the bulbs back in, moving the ladder around was what took up most of the time.
I would recommend the string lights to other people but, as with most light bulbs, you must be careful.
I absolutely love these lights for under our gazebo! They look so pretty at night and are decorative and not just the plain colored lights. I looked around at several stores for resonably priced lights for our deck and gazebo and finally found these at Target. I should of just went here first. They are priced very afordable especially when you have to buy several boxes. I have had lots of compliments from neighbors about how nice they look at night and are just the right amount of light and do not attract the bugs.
I love these lights and think they were a steal at [$]. So if I needed to spend another [$] for an extra set as replacement bulbs, it would still be a good deal. I have mine on my back porch and haven't had any problems. Love them!
