I don't use shavers on just my face. I use it to shave my head, as well as my ears, nose hairs, eyebrows and goatee. So, my shaver has to be an all in one. The functionality with this shaver has all that. One end can handle my head and the other side can handle my ears and nose. On the other end entirely is a shaver that gets as close as a blade. The functionality of this product is incredible. I usually have trouble with electric shavers and this completly exceeded my expectations. A nice, smooth trim as well as clean up is a breeze compared to other electric shavers. Price is a tad high but if you're willing to shell out for it then you won't be disappointed. I'm having a hard time finding the head replacement of Norelco Arcitec Electric Razor for my husband and I'm glad that Target.com has it. It's costly but it last about two years too even for every day use. It shaves smoothly that my husband don't need to use any aftershave lotion anymore. I highly recommend this product. see less

The blades do not stay sharp for 1 year. 6 months is a more accurate description. If you try and make it last a year, you will get chafing on your face and neck. I have also had problems with the head falling off during use. I bought a cheap stiff bristle make up brush to sweep out the whiskers. This is the only design of razor, that will truly give me a good shave. see less

I previously owned a Philips Norelco HS8420 Nivea for Men Razor, which was a very good razor, and provided a very good shave. Now, I have a SensoTouch 3D 1280XCC, which is far superior to the Norelco HS8420. It gives me an even closer shave, and is easy use and maintain. see less

I've never had a very good experience with electric shavers. While they generally irritate my skin less than a razor, they also tend to leave hairs behind or not get close enough to the skin. I decided to give the PT730 a try, and after a few weeks of use I've been pretty impressed. POSITIVES - Good, close shave without having to make excessive passes with the head - Low irritation - Easy to clean - Battery seems to exceed the quoted 40 minute runtime per charge - Good build quality, doesn't feel voerly cheap - Charge indicator light NEGATIVES - No travel case, minimal accessories - The hinge for the sideburn trimmer feels a little flimsy, but works well So far, I'm pleasantly surprised by what I've gotten for the price. I've spent nearly twice as much on gimmicky wet shavers that underperformed in comparison. I hope the quality holds up over time. I had never used an electric razor before now, because I did not believe It would give me the results I got with a disposable razor. The Powertouch Cordless Razor has changed my views on shaving altogether. The flexible heads make it easy and comfortable to shave on a regular basis. I find myself shaving on a more consistent basis because it is so much quicker and easier. The cleaning of the Powertouch is as simple as running it under water and letting it dry, it really is that easy! I have shaved with it now for over a week and still have not needed to recharge it. The pop-up trimmer is a nice feature for keeping sideburns and goatees trimmed up. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product and do not anticipate having to replace it for a long time. I received the Sensor 3D for a xmas gift from my son who had one. We both agreed that it was the best shaver we ever used. We both used it for 6 months and the blades became so dull we couldn't get a decent shave any longer. Norelco states the blades should remain sharp for 12 months. We have average beards so it disappointing to pay $160 every year for replacements. I'm trying to decide whether to order them or go back to my old razor. see less

I have the 1280XCC. As with all Norelco shavers a good unit. I have had a number of razors over the last 40 years. The razors have always been good. The problem is I have never had a cover that will stay on or not break. I have had 8-10 units over the years. I would think Norelco could engineer a protective blade cover that would work. see less

I've used different types of electric shavers in the past and I tell you this was the smoothest and the closest ever. It's easy and simple to use whether it's dry or wet. What I like about this shaver is I don't need to worry about nicks in the face, about putting shaving cream, time is money so I save a lot of time with this gadget. I specially loved how the head easily adjusts or swivels to the shape and contours of your face especially beneath the chin. It cut's very close considering it's an electric shaver. It's also quiet, light to carry and efficient. It's very comfortable, portable, charges fast and lasts for a long time. i have had the new Norelco Nivea shaver for year and a half and I can't complain anything about it. It gives a real close shave and the Nivea lotion is a plus for the.norelco if you don,t have one try it and if you don,t like it then you can get your money back.but you will like it and its the best thing out there. see less

I may get a slightly better overall shave with my wet razor blade, but most of the time it just doesn't matter to me personally. I much prefer the convenience of having my Norelco handy (wet or dry / touch-up or the real thing) . This is my first experience with the battery shaver use in the shower; I think it is great. As for the Nivea, I don't bother with it - when in the shower, for example, I just rub a little cream rinse on my beard and I think it does improve the feel and cut. see less
