I usually don't write reviews, but this needed to be submitted. I bought this to play my uncle's record collection he was getting rid of. This box has great, warm sound /bass quality is meh at high volume/ and otherwise great range. The cassette player will probably never get any use from me, but the CD, radio, aux, and /most importantly/ turntable sound great. Before complaining about the turntable stopping /as I almost did/, read the instruction manual. You have to "click" the arm into place to activate it. Great value, looks great, sounds great. see less

I love how this system has so much to offer. Although, I won't be using the cassette too much, the turntable is fantastic! The radio is really old-fashioned which is cute. The sound quality is fantastic. I didn't expect it to be so good but, it's really great. Totally worth how much it costs. You need to get this turntable. see less

This is the perfect size ... see more

This is the perfect size turntable for my tiny NYC apartment. However, as a music lover I will say that this is not the best record player. Sometimes you get what you pay for! In this case, you are getting a poor sounding system. I also noticed it plays slow. I am going to return it for a better turntable. No use in keeping this one. see less

My first experience with ... see more

My first experience with this item, Model CR8005, resulted in approximately two days of playtime before it stopped working. Either a short within the adapter or plug-in wiring, or a short within the unit itself. I returned the player promptly and found a replacement. This unit resulted in about 5 days of enjoyment before it did the same thing. The sound is decent enough given the size and the value would be great if it was a product that lasted. Instead, I'm left frustrated. My future plans are to return the item and look for a better quality turntable elsewhere...not by choice, but due to the fact Crosley is all Target carries. My recommendation is do not waste your money, no matter what the sale price happens to be. In this case, you get LESS than what you paid for in the quality of this product. see less

After careful consideration, I purchased this record player in cherry wood several months ago. It's quite durable and each music function is pretty easy to use after you read the instructions. Features:CD Player/RecorderThis particular player has the capability to record a CD from a record. It's an attribute that drew me to the device with a bit of skepticism. I've had experiences with recorded CDs that will not play in certain machines. In every player I have tested, my recorded CDs have played without any problems. For more convenience, the machine comes with a remote control for simple manipulation.AM/FM RadioThe AM/FM radio is backlit for easy manipulation and accuracy in the dark. The signal wire is located near the back of the machine and is flexible for better reception. Radio stations are quickly found and clearly play through the speakers with gentle rotations of the tuning knob. Tape PlayerThe convenience of the tape decks position is debatable. I have placed the record player on my nightstand table, which allows me full access to each feature. Should you choose to place the record player in an entertainment center with limited space, the tape deck would not be accessible as it is located on the side of the device. While its position isnt optimal, it doesnt hinder the experience. This feature provides an additional portal in which to play music, and therefore allows you to hear additional decades of music.Built-In SpeakersThese speakers were another draw for me. Im about to move into an apartment and unfortunately, I do not have the space for an external sound system. Several machines I had previously researched did not come with any speakers. This would have made my purchase more expensive and taken up quite a bit of space in my new place. One of the key reasons for buying the Crosley Director was the internal speaker system. While it does not blast my music, the volume, clarity, and quality of sound are all excellent for my use.Occasions for UseFor large parties, I would recommend a more enhanced sound system. It cannot compete with 30+ people speaking at once. However, for dinner parties, a small group of people, or just enjoying music alone, this device is superb.AestheticsThe outside has a vintage feel while containing modern technology. I purchased the cherry wood Crosley Director, and it goes quite well with the rest of my furniture.Sound QualityThe sound is good and true to the original music. Its not as full-bodied as I would like, but thats due to internal speakers. Its a clear and steady sound that is expelled from the speakers. Arm ManeuveringThe manual nature of the arm is a bit inconvenient, as you have to replace the arm when it has completed playing one side of the album. With an automatic arm, it would return to its cradle afterward it has finished. OverallI have not been disappointed with this machine, and I would highly recommend this as a gift for those who truly appreciate music in several forms. see less

I bought this for my husband so he can make cd's out of his old cassette tapes. He loves it! It is relatively easy to convert the cassettes into a cd. It also plays albums as well as our iPod. The retro look is very cool too! see less

I love this player/recorder. I have recorded a couple of albums and cassettes toCD. It is relatively easy to use. Just follow the directions. The only complaint Ihave is the track split button does not stay held. I tryed to pause an album but it only paused for 1 second then started back up again. But other than that thissystem is great. The sound quality is really good and as I said earlier very easy to use. I would suggest this to anyone looking to record albums and cassettes to CD. see less

This turntable is amazing. I bought it as a birthday gift and he absolutely loved it. Very sleek look to it looks way more expensive than it is. Very quick to set up and very easy to use. Great sound for the set but of course connecting it to speakers is even better. Have used it almost daily since purchasing it a month ago. A must have for the vinyl lover you know. see less

[...] I decided to take a chance anyway since turntables were hard to find the week before Christmas. The plastic cover broke right out of the box. We tried to glue it, but it broke again. The sound was okay but wouldn't go very loud. There was an input for better speakers. We finally had to return it to our local Target because the lid would not stay open while a record was being played. see less

I have been collecting vinyl for over 10 years now and been asking for a serious turntable for a long time. THIS IS NOT IT. It looks cool, for sure, but what it has in style it lacks in quality. The sound is incredibly tinny and you by necessity will have to buy high quality speakers to make up for its cheapness in sound. All the parts are flimsy plastic, I could snap the tone arm in half. If you want to enjoy your records, shell out and get something better. see less

I bought this set to my father's Birthday. He liked so much. This was a great gift for him because he have a lot of LP collection so this way he can keep these old LP and recorder for CD or else from tape do CD. The sound of quality is Excellent so a easier operation. see less

The cd recorder failed and ruined 7 CDR's. The turntable is tinny cheap plastic....I'm getting refund,maybe someday Crosley will use better high quality parts instead of cheap plastic and zero watt amps. see less

The plastic wrap is perfectly fine but the box is horrible! The little plastic "teeth" for the cutter do not work. I was so frustrated with the box I was ready to return the wrap to the store or throw it out. But! I still had my Glad Wrap box and was able to swap it for the terrible Target Up box. see less

The title says it all - this stuff clings great, but the cutting teeth on the box are so bad that it forced me to take the time to write this review. By the time you get done fighting the cutter most of the wrap is clinging to itself.Please fix the cutting portion of the box! see less

The wrap itself is fine and works well. However, the box is horrible and its way to hard to cut the wrap free from the roll. Its cheap but its almost not worth it. see less
