yes this is a really cheap bike but is not assembled at all no way shape or form. now with that be said heres what to do take [...] bike to a bike shop pay them [...] they will disassemble hole bike an re grease everything when reassembled true the wheels and make sure everything is tightened properly then you will have one that stand out from the rest i put about 40 miles on mine BEFORE i re greased all the bearing my self an i will say its like night an day! if they payed a pro or someone who knows bikes this would be a super steal but [...] bike [...] tuning at bike shop an you got your self a nice ride. im looking in to upgrade the crank 40 installed an gel seat i seen in a bike shop that would match 40 then maybe the brakes have not priced them an green chain too see less

This is a cheap and ok quality bicycle for the price. This will be a great bike for anyone! First to answer the questions. It is a 55cm frame, has both fixed and freewheel 18t cogs, single wall wheels which came very untrue, 100mm stem, 2 piece crankset, plastic pedals, two piece seatpost, 110mm rear spacing can fit larger hubs, tires are thin and weak brakes. The decals are painted on, so if you thought you could just take them off like stickers, sorry. I ordered it online so it had put it together. I opened the hubs, headset and bottom bracket to regrease there wasn't much grease, also greased the bolts and seatpost. The wheels were untrue, I retrued em with a stand. The brakes needed a tighten down and cable length adjustment. The barrel bolts were all the way out, make sure to screw em in before adjusting. I chose to ride fixed. I also reversed the stem for a more aggressive position. I am happy to see that it has a threadless headset! Other than that, ride on! see less

Components, and colors it appears, must be part of a running model change. I noticed two different types of front and rear shifting mechanisms among the same bike model in the large Target store I frequent. see less

Bought bike to upgrade old bike. Have had over a year. Ride up to 50 miles at a time. No problems, great bike for price as long as your tall enough. I have side bags, handle bar bag and back rack bag. Have had over 30 lbs of gear and bike rides great. Needs tune up due to over 400 miles put on in past month and a half. Would buy it again. I have had this bike for 3 months and love it! My sister got one first, I tried hers and liked it so much I got one for me! It is very comfortable and rides smoothly. I've had to adjust the seat and handle bars a few times to get it just right for me, but now I have it exactly how I want it. I've ridden 3 or 4 times between 10-14 miles and numerous shorter rides. I have a bike trainer so I can ride it indoors for the winter. Previously, I rode a mountain bike. With this bike, I am able to sit more upright than before, taking any pressure off my neck and shoulders, making it more comfortable. I plan to use my new bike for 2-3 sprint triathlons this coming summer and for all my training. I am new at triathlons and didn't feel ready to invest [$] or more on a racing bike for a new hobby. I think this bike will benefit me for a long time. This bike meets my needs of exercising, triathlons, and just biking around the neighborhood with my kids. see less

This bike has not let me down and taken me on some serious, high-speed adventures! Light weight and fast! Easy to assemble. Like all bike that is shipped directly to your home, you need to have a bike shop to check the bike unless you know how to do it yourself. So be prepare to pay the extra. The gear has to be adjusted. This bike fit my frame perfectly. I am 5' 91/2". I am happy with it. I will be training for the Century in NYC. There are much better bikes in the market, but they will also cost you a lot more! see less

I live in Minneapolis where it seems like it's a bicycle fashion show while riding the city streets every day. I took my bike out for a spin today and got at least 7 compliments from strangers on how much they love my bike. All of the sticker decals are easily removable, so I removed them for a simple clean black frame. Assembly can be a bit tricky if you've never put a bike together before, but not impossible. For this price point, this is one of the best single-speed bikes out there. Most people are shocked to find out I paid around 200 for it - it looks like a 400-600 bike! You can reverse the back wheel to switch from a fixed-gear or a fly single speed. If you need something to ride around the city for short commutes or on-the-go, this is the bike to buy. I compared this item with more pictures and reviews on Amazon, but bought it from Target because I used my RedCard to get the 5 percent discount and free shipping. see less

First of all this bike looks pretty sharp and I get a lot of comments on it. And if it's assembled correctly, it rides like a dream, very smooth. Effortless pedaling you just kinda glide across the street. No problems with it yet. Its fall here in Florida and I can't seem to ride it enough now that the weather is perfect. If your looking for a good quality hybrid for under 300, look no further you wont be disappointed. I love this bike! see less

First and for most, this bike is not actually a Schwinn. It is made by a company called Pacific Coast Cycles and is built to Schwinn specifications. Schwinn just puts their name on it. I bought the bike right off the self (which was built buy an employee i'd imagine) and had to take it to a local bike shop to get everything properly adjusted.That being said, $13 later and i have never had a problem. Brakes, shifters, derailers ect. have all worked without any rubbing or anything. I have taken this bike off road (through a muddy field, down steps, though large holes) and the shocks work wonders and the bike still works like the day i got it. My only complaint with this bike would be the trouble i had fitting some of my old accessories on it. Although it was nothing five minutes and a little ingenuity couldn't fix.Even though is is not technically a Schwinn, it runs like one and is a great bike for both on and off road. see less

I just got the bike 2 weeks ago, and during my first ride, I noticed that the front derailleur was dragging against the chain constantly, and the front left brake pad was dragging against the rim. After going online and finding out how to adjust the parts, I got it working properly. It's just a shame that whoever put it together didn't really know what they were doing... The bike itself is amazing. It's super light, rides wonderfully, and looks VERY good. The larger size of the bike is good for someone like me, who is well over 6 feet tall. Overall, I definitely think the bike deserves a 5 star rating. see less

I have been riding this bike regularly for a month now, and so far have had no serious problems or issues, and I am very pleased with my purchase. The vast majority of my riding is urban commuting on mostly flat, paved roads. I have done some hilly rides, which is a hard with the single speed, but not impossible. I did a ton of research when I was looking for a bike, because I wanted something pretty specific, and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. This bike fit the bill perfectly. I wanted 1) a men's road bike that looked nice, 2) drop-down handlebars with front and rear brakes, 3) a single speed or fixed gear, and 4) it had to be lightweight. I live in a fourth floor apartment (no elevator), so the weight was perhaps the most important issue for me. This bike weighs less than 15 pounds, which is pretty great considering the price! The only issue I've had is that the you cannot raise the handlebars (the headset has some spacers which you can remove to lower the handlebars, but they come from the factory at the highest setting). The style of headset is threadless (as opposed to threaded), which I didn't realize also meant single-height. I have gotten used to it now, but it took some adjusting in my riding style and seat height to make it comfortable. Oh, I should add - I am a female, 5'7", and I'm right at the bottom of the height range for this bike. I clear the crossbar with about an inch to spare, so I wouldn't get this bike if you are any shorter! Overall:Pros:- You can't beat the price for this type of bike- Looks great- Components are not fancy, but so far seem to be solid- Lightweight- Agile, quick riding and maneuvering- Saddle is comfortable and cleans easily- Assembly was straightforward- Wheel hubs are bolt-on (not quick-release), which was also important for me living in a city; the saddle, however, is quick-release, which is nice for making adjustments on the fly and is easier to take with me if I lock up outside.- Tires and tubes have held up fine so far - good tread on the tires.- The frame has bolts for a bottle cage- Although I may take them off to save even more weight, the kickstand and chain cover are nice perks.Cons:- Threadless headset - would have preferred threaded if I knew the difference before buying- The white grip tape will start to get gray very quickly and is difficult to clean- The instruction manual is pretty useless (it covers every kind of bike Schwinn produces, so it's very generic), though assembly is pretty common-sense.Make sure to visit the Schwinn website to read all the specs before buying. see less

I had decided to buy the Denali Pro after i visited my local bike shop and became very depressed at the fact that the cheapest entry level road bike there was $$$. So needless to say i did some research online and found the Denali Pro on EB*Y for around $$. After assembling the bike and spending a day fine-tuning all the gears and the brakes to how I like them (watch a couple of youtube videos on how to fine-tune bike gears and brakes---this helped me out a lot with getting that local bike shop fine-tuning without the local bike shop price tag), I took the bike out for a test ride (10 miles). I rode the bike on my local bike path and found it to be very responsive and comfortable to ride. The bike is very fast. I was able to keep the bike at a constant speed of 21 mph for the duration of my ride with little effort.One draw back to the bike was the saddle. This comes as no surprise since the bike comes with a generic stock road bike saddle. I upgraded the saddle to a ARS men's relief saddle. The new saddle is a major improvement over the stock saddle in the area of junk & rear-end comfort.Another problem I had with the bike was the toe straps on the pedals. The strap itself came undone from the mounting position on the pedals several times. I fixed this by squeezing the mounting tabs on the straps. This has kept the strap in place.A major selling point about this bike was the micro-shift gear system. The hand shifters are modeled after a high-end rapid fire mountain bike shifter. They are placed just behind the brake levers. This makes changing gears an effortless process. I feel that this type of shifting system is an improvement over the usual shifter/brake lever system found on other road bikes. The problem with the shifter/brake lever system is that when applying the brake it is common to accidentally shift gears. With the micro-shift gear system this is not a problem.The 56cm frame is a perfect fit for me. I am 5'10" and fit comfortably on the bike with the seat post set to the lowest setting. I would recommend this road bike to everyone who is looking for a great and inexpensive entry level road bike. see less

Have ridden my Denali Pro about 5000 miles now. Love the bike. Usually do about a 20 mile ride. It's the only road bike that I own. Everything has worked well on the bike. The shifters integrated into the brake levers are one of the features that make the bike a good deal. The only maintenance I've done is tires, lube chain, and grease and adjust the bearings once a year. I'm on my second set of brake pads. I put on a more comfortable seat and clipless pedals. I'd recommend the bike for recreational riding, and fitness training, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if this one ever wears out. see less

I recently received a Kent bicycle as a gift from my employer. On the first time I took this bike out to a local park (easy walking/biking path) the gears shattered. I actually picked the pieces up off the ground. After contacting Kent bikes I was told they would send the parts but I would have to pay to have the bike repaired. Remember, this bike was less than 1 week old. I am amazed at how poor Kents warranty and customer service is. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company. see less

Bike arrived in great condition, packed well. Husband put it together himself. He had some difficulty, but not much. You MUST read the directions on how to put it together men! He took it for a test drive after putting it together, said the down shifting was a little rough, otherwise good. After taking it to a bike shop to get adjusted properly, it rides great.
