I finally broke down and bought this kit. I absolutely love it. I have NEVER been able to paint my nails at home with regular nail polish. However, I found a neat pin on Pinterest that showed the proper way to do it. So, I bought this kit and did my nails last weekend. It's five days later and my nails still look like I just did them and I was gardening for hours yesterday. I've washed dishes multiple times and even bleached and cleaned bathrooms. I believe one of the keys to keeping them from chipping is to make sure you apply the base and top coats under the tip of the fingernail and around the top like the instructions tell you to do. Otherwise, you aren't really sealing all of the nail color in. I love how the UV light beeps after 30 seconds and cuts off after 60. You don't have to time yourself. Those are the only 2 time intervals you need. I wish it were a little larger so I could fit my thumb in with the rest of my fingers, but I don't mind doing the thumb separately. see less

I am, by no means, great at "staying in the lines" when I do nail polish. So my biggest complaint about this kit is that if I'm messy, I'm scraping it off my skin. But seriously, it works as long as your follow the directions to a T. Watch the official YouTube video, very helpful without being annoying. I just use a RCM polish with the kit last night and those need extra cure time so beware. A few weeks back, I used Sensationail Blue Yonder and the first chip came at day 13. I can't go back to regular polish, except for maybe my toes. I found it difficult to cram my foot under the light. Target- can you please carry this kit and polishes in store?!? It would save me a trip to your dreadful competitor [...]. see less

I was a little hesitant to spend so much on nail polish! But this is worth EVERY penny! The starter kit comes with smaller sized products but it lasts for quite some time right around 6 months and the essential kit does come with larger bottles when you run out of base/top coat, gel cleanser, and primer. I work in retail and it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep a manicure perfect for more then a day this seriously can last me up to two weeks. I would suggest you check out their tutorial videos they really helped me out. see less

I bought the Sally Hansen Salon Pro Gel Kit and I love it. I have done acrylic nails and gel polish from the salons and also glue on nails. With regular polish, my nails break all the time. And I have ridges in my thumb nails that still show with regular polish but not with gel polish. The application with the Sally Hansen gel kit was very easy and quick and it lasted almost two weeks. Then the best part was that when I wanted to do it again, I just peeled the polish right off. I had put on a clear coat of regular polish about every other day, so this might have been why the polish peeled off so easily. The pads that come with the kit are just rubbing alcohol. So rather than purchasing more, I just use my own rubbing alcohol and paper towels. I bought a Sensational French Manicure gel kit, used it with the Sally Hansen kit, and it has lasted over 10 days so far. Put the tips on BEFORE the Sensational clear coat. i.e. SH base, Tips, Sensational Clear then SH top. see less

I have used this product over the past few months and my nails have never looked better! Love it and fnd it so easy to use. I have very strong nails underneath too. Some products in the past seem to really weaken your nails- but not this. I came back for refills and it looks like Target has the best deals on those too. Thanks for a great product! I am two weeks in and it is great. If you follow the directions you will have the same result you do at the salon for a fraction of the cost. I love being able to have painted nails with effort only once every two weeks and for little money after the initial investment. see less

These are large flowers. [...] I am putting them in the pool during my outdoor wedding, so I had to buy little LED lights instead of using the candles that came with it. I think the plastic looks a little cheap, but over all it was a good buy for the price. see less

I bought these for our wedding and was very happy with the purchase. A few things to note, 1. The metal tealight holder that comes with it is not sufficient because the wax drips over the edges. We bought some glass tealight holders and they worked fine as long as you get the right size. 2. Some of the flowers were discolored slightly when they arrived--we were able to remove most of it though with a Clorox wipe. 3. They're expensive and not high-quality. At about [$] per flower, they are a bit costly given what they're made of. As long as you make use of them you'll get your money's worth out of them. With that said, they are gorgeous and look beautiful as it turns to evening. see less

The nail tips are difficult to line up on your own - especially on your dominant hand, using your non-dominant hand. At least two fingers on my dominant hand have crooked tips, the center of the arched tip is not in the center of my nail. The "downward motion" filing removal of the excess white tip still resulted in chips at the edges of the nails. I did continue the entire process, doing only one hand at a time. Then re-filed all fingers to remove the chipped edges. Then reapplyed clear polish to the edges and used the lamp again. Maybe this would work a lot better if you had a friend to help? Also - when peeling the nail tips from their protective double plastic covers some tips got pulled to the wrong plastic cover - and this made the process even more difficult. see less

Just ordered this, tried it, and liked it. Hoping that the manicure stays for 2 weeks, but so far it's been a few days, and no chipping. The only thing I don't like is that the led light stays on for less than 45 seconds at a time, so has to be pushed a second time to finish curing the nails. The instructions were easy to follow. Wasn't crazy about the red polish that came with it, but bought another gel nail polish color that worked with the led light with no problem. see less

This gel nail system is easy to use and works great. I had never had gel nails prior to using Red Carpet Manicure, but was surprised by how easy it is to catch on and get a great manicure. The polish doesn't chip for a few weeks, so the only downside is that I don't get to change nail colors as often as I would using normal nail polish. I reccomend this product for anyone wanting to try gel nails - it's fun and the finished product looks salon quality. Love it! see less

If you like a nice, SHINY long lasting IF not going to do dishes ea day or garden manicure, this is a great little kit. I received it as a holiday gift from my son and I LOVE IT. I don't always have time to go to the salon for a GEL set. I have alot of experience applying stickers so the gel stickers were a breeze. The gel top coat is a snap to apply and cure. Do it 2x for better results I advise you apply ALL stickers first Apply the gel to ALL nails on one hand first cure ea 2 x clean cured nails w/wipe Finish other hand....all in all about 30-40 min BEST thing....you are DRY immediately and no nail polish smell! see less

I saw this advertised in a magazine and was skeptical. The product is advertised as easy to use and providing mirror like shine for up to 2 weeks. Having never used nail strips, I was concerned about application, but it was a breeze. Once application was completed, my nails were super shiny and looked like a professional manicure. Finally, as to the claim that it lasts up to 2 weeks, this manicure did last me a full 2 weeks before it started to chip around the cuticle area due to my nails growing out. Added bonus, after removing the strips, I applied a normal polish and finished it with the gel topcoat and LED lamp. The results were just as lovely and I anticipate it will extend the life of regular polish. While I don't expect this to last as long as the strips, it looks good for now and is a lower cost alternative to purchasing gel strips every 2 weeks at 15 dollars see less

I got the shell we dance--I don't typically wear finger nail polish, rarely do my own nails. I have weak nails, lotions and creams have not helped, and I don't have time to go to the salon. Regular polish chips right away. I tried this to see if it would help. Application is a little labor-intensive--it took about an hour to properly clean, cuticle, apply. I had no problem properly spreading the strip and smoothing it to the nail. Using the wooden stick tended to break off little pieces of gel strip, so be very careful with that and I avoided using it as much as possible. I only did the one cure under the lamp, cleaned and they look great. That was yesterday. Still looks great, no chipping so far. There are a couple places where I didn't file the strip down quite enough and it is a little sharp on the nail tip, but I don't want to file it down now and create a weakness in the gel seal, which might cause a chip. see less

The item shown in the photo is not the item I received--the item received were cheap white plastic stars with a string of multi-colored (red/white/blue) christmas-type lights running throughout. They were not individual red, white, and blue stars as shown. Kudos to Target customer service, they were great to work with and made returning a breeze. Just be warned if you decide to order this--for the price it is not worth it and doesn't look at all like the photo!! see less
