I am a medical transcriptionist and have headphones on my ears for hours at a time. I love these headphones and I always buy two or three at a time because I tend to roll over the cord with my chair when I get up, but only because I like a lot of cord and I put an extender on it. I have used these headphones for several years now and love them because if you put them on one way they are more bass and the other way more treble. This gives me the advantage of being able to change the tone of the physician when they have a deeper voice or are mumbling and I just need to hear it a different way. I hope Sony keeps making these forever. [ BRAND] used to make a similar pair, but I haven't been able to find them in a long time. see less

I've tried many headphones in my years, and this model has by far the best sounds among budget headphones, and even better than many other more expensive ones. It's also great to use while jogging as the buds never slip from your ears as you're running. I actually have never seen this model, or anything similar by any makers, sold outside of the US. I can't find this even in Japan! As I travel abroad extensively for months at a time, I always make sure to stock this headphones at least a few and bring them with me. Which brings to a minor issue that I have with this model over the years, which is that the phone's sound lines tend to get randomly disconnected after a heavy use for a few months or so. However, I think this happens with pretty much any headphones that you use heavily daily, as I do at my gyms, traveling, etc. I don't mind it though. It's so cheap that I always stock pile them. In fact, I have 5 of them now in my home. LOL. see less

Very easy to use setup right on screen when you first turn on. Setting up speakers and wires was a breeze since everything is color coded for your convenience. Picture quality is everything you expect from Sony bluray, awesome. Tons of features such as movie, music, and tv apps. Web browser included and fm tuner. The interface is identical to the ps3 so I felt right at home. The sound quality doesn't compare to my marantz setup downstairs but its very very decent for my bedroom. The highs are clear, bass a little boomy but with a bit of rumble. It gets pretty loud so this would be perfect for a dorm, small living room and bedrooms. I got this instead of a sound bar for only [$] and I could not be happier. I would even pay [$], I'm that happy with it. see less

It was bad enough that the instructions are not even close to how this sets up. I had to call the my Target tech to get sound from my new flat screen led TV. Once I did, it was not good! This thing puts out 3 watts RMS on a good day. I had it turned all the way up just to here the TV. To switch from DVD to TV was ridiculous. I had to re-set the sound every time. Using the HDMI cable made my picture horrible. If I went through the system with it, I had a horizontal line right through the screen. see less

I have an older [...] which I think I paid [$] for a long time ago. That docking station gives a "wow" effect when you play it. This Sony sounds "okay" I think I got these for [$] on Black Friday and gave them as gifts. At that price, this was a good buy. My 6 year old doesn't need anything fancy, my husbands will get beat up in his warehouse anyway and my sister was just thrilled to get a docking station from me, but if you're looking for great sound, you'll probably have to spend more. see less
