after reading reviews, thought i'd try it. yes, it does dive to the ground at first try and even second and third. reminds me of my stryker c for advanced pilots. once i figured out how to toss it and allowing it to dip before gaining height, it really flew well. triming is a little tricky. i've learned that air hogs puts out some real junk, and some real good stuff. after a while, air hogs has taught me much patience. remember one thing, don't throw the plane, only gently toss it. if air hogs ever brings back the bi plane, it was best for beginners. see less

This plane is by far the biggest piece of junk and biggest hoax of a toy I've ever purchased. Hands down. Out of the box the plane just nose dives straight into the ground. Doesn't even attempt to fly. I am a engineer and spent several hours with this plane trying everything from bending the wings to changing the position of the battery all in a effort to try and get this toy balanced properly so it could have a chance of flight. Nothing worked and it was a complete waste of time. It's too bad because the Air Hogs helicopters work very well, I honestly don't think this plane EVER worked and it seems to be a complete marketing hoax. see less

This is one of the bigger planes in the series and has a bottom like a boat. It has lots of nice features, like the jaws on the front, the retractable landing gear, and especially the launcher on the back that earns it its name: scorpion. Seems to be very solid too. see less

and really didnt seem to interested at first but then i bought his the fisher price train set and i relized he loves the little figures (5 months after christmas) i went through the toy box and found them and now he plays with the lttle people and will sometimes stuff his animals in the plane see less

A good sized toy for little people (toddlers) to enjoy. It will also be useful for a pre school child for make-believe play.It seems quite sturdy - so far! see less
