Bought this for my 3 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The bed is a little pricey, but it's worth it! He loves climbing up into the bed and also playing underneath the bed. He loves to store a lot of his toys under there. I just bought a twin set and the frame and mattress fit fine in it and it sits high within the frame. However, I have not had an issue with him falling out of the bed at all. He moves a lot and so far I have been fortunate that he has not fallen out yet. see less

This bed is great! I got it for my .. year old son and he abolutely loves it. We don't use the underneath for storage becasue my son uses it as a fort and he has plenty of room to sit up while under there. It's great he is so proud of his bed it is the first thing he shows everyone. It is very sturd and cleans up easily. The mattress fits in very snug so there are no issues of pillows and stuff animals falling in the cracks. see less

I found this item easy to assemble. The hardest thing is getting the massive and heavy box into the house. Invest in some good wood glue to reinforce the pegs. Know before you buy that you will need a large short Phillips head because if you follow the directions, like I did, you will find it impossible to screw the trim on with a standard length screw driver. Pay attention to the orientation of the trim... it doesn't install the way you might think. Great purchase.... nice clean lines and perfect for my teen sons room. Build it where you want it because moving it from room to room will require disassembly. see less

I've been using this bed for about 2 weeks now, and it is fantastic. I was able to set it up by myself in about 1/2 an hour, with the help of a drill. The edging wasn't really too terrible to add on like some of the other reviews has said, but I also didn't try to turn the bed on its side like the instructions state to do. I also love that it is sturdy enough for my 4 year old to jump on without having to worry about him breaking it! see less

We bought this bed for our teenage son. He and I put it together in about 45 min. It was very easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy for being as tall as it is. The space underneath is probably the best part because it frees up a lot of floor space in the room. Overall I would say that this is a well made bed and well worth the price. see less

Our daughters share a room and we've been looking for new beds for them. We couldn't decide between this black one and the identical white one so we bought one of each color . . . one for each of the girls. They love them! We loved the priced and the fact that they open up the room with the fun space under the loft. The assembly was pretty straightforward . . . took about an hour and a half to put each bed together . . . a little less on the second one. Overall, the beds look great, they're sturdy and the open up so much space. Also, the price was what we were looking for. see less

my daughter is almost 6 years old, she slept with me from the past 5 and 1/2 years! i bought her an Ikea bed for 2 years, but she NEVER slept on it. After this bed arrived at my house, she never came to my room to sleep with me again!!! This bed is easy to understand how to assemble, but i did a little error, took me 2 hours to assemble. My husband was at work when it arrived so I thought I'd impress him and put it together before he got home. It was so easy to put together but something seemed off. Got the box spring on and then the mattress. LMAO. Now mind you, I am 5'3 The platform is 14 inches high and my bed is a pillow top on both sides of the mattress, So the bed came up to my bust. I had to jump to get on the bed. I finally' after fretting over it for over an hour, figured out that the frame ,itself, replaces the box spring. So I took the box spring off and all was well. Talk about feeling like a ditz tho. LMAO. All in all I am very happy w/my purchase. see less

I really like Target. They are my go-to place for things that are stylish, inexpensive, and decently well made. However, everything about this bed frame was a disapointment. It says it should fit a full size bed but it wasn't long enough. My mattress stuck out a couple inches longer than the frame. I just compensated by using an extra helping of bed slats. Then after just a few days of normal use the frame bent! I'm pretty skinny so this must have just been super cheaply made. Very disapointed. Will be returning this item. see less

This is a nice bed. It is narrower than I imagined but it works well for my granddaughters and their friends when they spend the night. They can spend the night and the entire next day in bed in front of the t.v. They sleep soundly and seem to have plenty of room. They are 13 and 11. see less

I bought this for my mom's yearly visit. She is 81, but very active and still very vocal. She and the bed arrived on the same day and between the two of us it was easy to assemble. I needed to look at the picture more often, I'm not big on written directions. The only thing my husband had to do was insert 2 screws because the holes didn't align properly. As I said, it serves the purpose of a 2 or 4 night stay and it does pack away nicely. see less

I ordered this bed for my daughter. I shopped all over looking for a trendy bed that had the loft featuer with plenty of apparel and toy storage. This was by far the best one I found, especially for the price! It came in 3 large shipping boxes and only one piece was slightly dented but still very usable. It took my husband and his friend 8 hours to put together though. So make sure you have time set aside to assemble. But for [$] dollars it's worth it. Not to mention my daughter loves it and gets compliments from everyone who sees it! The drawer quality should be improved though, it's good enough, but pretty shaky going in and out. see less

I ordered this bed for my 6 year old son. It is very sturdy and I love the extra storage under the bed. I love the way it looks with the headboard also. The only bad thing about the bed it that the edges are sharp and the drawer handles are very sharp.I have found myself getting off of his bed very cautiously so as to not scratch my legs up. I think I will change the hardware even though I love the look of the ones it came with. see less

We were looking for a "big girl" bed that our daughters could grow into. They wanted bunk beds for fun. This hits both! We were able to repurpose the twin mattresses they had as the upper bunk and only buy the double for the bottom, no box springs needed. When they out grow the bunk beds, we just take the twin off and they have their big girl beds. The quality is excellent. Assembly was a bit challenging. My husband said "This is a bed kit!". The wood is solid and not the press board you often see. The paint was sprayed on and looks perfect. We could not be more excited with the value and the girls are delighted with thier new beds. see less

Cant find a style bunk bed like this 4 the price and quality at any other furniture store. Looked everywhere, glad that we decided to get this for our 3 yr old. We only have 1 kid, but for now she sleeps on the bottom, which actually works out for me as I lay with her until she is asleep and all her dolls are on the top bunk...storage! The slant ladder makes it easy and safe for her to climb up and down and it's not in the way. Having beds for overnite guests is another great use we are getting. Beds can be separated and if she has a bro or sis in the future, it will be useful for that too. My husband put the bed together and took no more than 4 hours. All the wood pieces are labled with stickers to facilitate assembly. Only reason I knocked a star off on quality is because the wood is not the best, but can't really expect any thing more. The price is already great and I'm sure it will last longer than expected. We are happy and satisfied with this purchase. see less

I only have one complaint ... see more

I only have one complaint on this bunk bed and it is significant, in my opinion. The white paint was off-gassing VOCs to the point the kids and I could only be in the room for a few minutes before getting light headed. We tried all the tricks - fans, windows, high heat, onions, vinegar, baking soda - to no avail. I finally decided to pull it apart, partially sand it down, prime it with AFM Safecoat to seal in the remaining fumes, and recoat it with some quality paint. In hindsight, it would have been just as quick and effective to fully sand it down, but I ordered the primer/sealer before I started to sand. Other than that - this is a great deal compared to any other bunk beds I could find. The bunk beds are solid, the wood is mostly solid pine, and the parts fit together well. After about 100 dollars in materials and 20-ish hours, it is much better and safer than new. If it wasn't for the poor and dangerous paint - I would have given 5 stars. see less

This bed is very good for the price you pay. It can be a little wobbly if the kids are bouncing around too much on the top bunk, so I am careful to not let them be too rough on the bed. Not sure if the bed was put together exactly to instructions, since I did not put it together, but the only downfall is the head of the mattress tends to "sink" because it's barely held in place by the last rung. If there were more rungs holding the mattress, I think it would seem more supportive. But again for the price, its a good bed for the kids. I like the sort of modern style and the dark wood color. see less

It really irks me when people don't read the item description before buying something and then ding the product's rating. Twin and full do not have center beam support. I purchased the queen with the cross beam and it's heavy duty and incredibly strong as I am 5'9", 250 lbs. It doesn't wobble and not a creak out of this frame either since I bought it more than six months ago. Yes, it is very easy to assemble, but use a rubber mallet or else you'll scratch the metal. The color I have is black, however, if it's under a made bed then it shouldn't really matter. I will say that if there's a con at all it's that the frame is only made to take a headboard, but quite frankly, it's not enough to keep me from buying it. The wheels also lock and I've had no issues with them moving around. Clearly this is a superior product much like the bed frames of long ago and it's a steal for the price. You won't regret this purchase! see less

It went together so quickly. The only tool required is maybe a hammer if you're having trouble getting it to snap together.There isn't a ton of room under the bed, but enough for those under the bed boxes which was all I was looking for. Ours came with the wheeled feet, but since we have carpet we won't be using them. But they did lock, which is a plus! Definitely worth your money. see less
