I was expecting a thin cotton fabric to use in my dau apt kitchen window. This is a lot prettier than I was expecting. It is a thick tapestry fabric lined with a white cotton/poly fabric. The rod pocket is about 2". The design is more off white in color so if you are looking for "white" you may not like. I am competely happy. This will really dress up the window...almost to fancy for an apt kitchen but we love it! Great quality for a fair price! see less

This valance is actually a dark cream color as opposed to the picture, where it looks black and white. The material is weak and somewhat see-through. When I got the package in the mail, valance came in with multiple pulls on it. The picture online is VERY deceiving! see less

I like the curtains and all but it just doesn't make sense to me why this is the only comforter set where the curtains don't match the main side of the comforter. I considered buying two of the shower curtains -which actually would have matched the bedding- and now i'm wishing I would have. I'm not sure how i'm going to be able to make these curtains look good when they don't even match. I may end up buying a shower curtain to turn it into a valance. Just not sure what they were thinking when they did this.... see less

I loved the design and colors are fun. I read that the fabric is thin - which I usually like - but when I hung them up, it looked like a bedsheet on my window to me. I think I would have been in love with these had the design been printed on a more home decor type of fabric rather than soft white cotton. see less

I LOVE the BananaFish Nantucket collection! I was so excited when I received the valance, along with the mobile and bedding, in the mail! The colors are contrasting- the white, pure, rather than too thin and cheap, the navy dark, and the green bright. It's just what we were looking for. I love the preppy look, but it's still appropriate for a baby. I highly recommend this collection, I only wish that they had matching accessories such as garbage cans, lamps, diaper stackers, and hampers! see less

We loved these valances for our daughters room. They can be used for a girl if you use them to your advantage and pair them up with other things. I wish the alligators were a tad bit bigger and had a few more details but it looks great from far away. I wish the sheet would come into stock too! When getting a curtain rod, get an extended one 36 to 72 inches for your window. Also the measurements are listed and are accurate if you look up product specifications. Our windows only took 1 valance each. Pre-measure and you should be good to go! see less

Sitting on my gray sofa, I knew on first sight that this pattern would look good with the sofa and would add some drama to the room, which is large with all white walls. The pattern is different from a lot of black and white damask curtains I've seen - it has more of a retro 60s or 70s feel than "victorian" for lack of a better word. So they work great in my all-white casual loft space. As for the fabric - they are indeed cream and not white, which is what I wanted. The fabric is somewhat loosely woven and of medium weight. We hung them on a 1/2 in rod with no problem, though they'd certainly work on a heavier rod as well for a more formal look. And they are lined! With white cotton and there is no show-through from the outside. From the inside, though, when we close them all the way and they're almost pulled flat, the sun gives them a gray, almost threadbare look which I love. I'd say order more panels if you need a standard or formal look and don't want that show-through. see less

I bought 3 of these panels to cover my french doors in our bedroom and an extra to "refashion" into valances for the other windows in the room. The panels hang beautifully with curtain pins from an [...] trac system. They are lined and heavy. I had to cut and resew the 4th for the valances and that is where i noticed a bit of shoddy construction, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I spent a lot of time ironing and resewing. Overall I LOVE the look. I would not call them white more of a cream. see less

I was looking for a window treatment to match the Xhiliration black and white damask bedding, and thought this would be a good match. Unfortunately the lighter color is cream or off-white, not the bright white of the bedding. Fabric is also loosely woven, not smooth and crisp. Product seems like it is good quality though. These valances are very pretty and compliment the crib set beautifully. They ironed out nicely. The only problem I encountered was that the white section with the embroidery on it is very thin and when light shines through from the window, you can see a bunch of thread ends through the fabric. Luckily, the valance ends aren't sewn together. Just flip the valance inside out and cut the thread ends off. Simple remedy. Now it looks perfect & I couldn't be happier. see less

These curtains came and I was extremely disappointed. The houndstooth fabric pattern was very large and looked more geometric then houndstooth. They were very thin and would barely have kept the light out of my son's room. So, I ended up returning both panels and would not recommend them. see less

I ordered these curtains for our baby's room as I was looking for something cute and reasonably priced. I love the stripes and colors of these curtains, but I was very disappointed in the fabric. I didn't expect the curtains to be blackout quality, but these curtains are very thin! The material reminded me more of bed sheets! These are more for decorative purposes, and alone would not make great curtains, especially for a child's room. see less
