We decided to buy this wireless temperature station to get a better idea of what the inside/outside temps were plus humidity in our part of the city can be much different that what is given on the weather station. I love this device. It was easy to install and is great. I like the humidity info. It has helped with our stuffy noses and feeling dry. When it is below 30, we just put the humidifier on and feel better. Many had the same info but were much more expensive. This is simple but accurate and the price was right! We even got free shipping. It was one of my husbands favorate christmas presents. see less

[...] I'm impressed that the device has withstood the heat stress, never lost contact with the base station two floors below in our kitchen, and never yet needed a battery change of either the base station or the remote. An older [...] unit that ate about a set of batteries a year for the base station just conked out so I am buying another La Crosse unit to replace for measuring the outdoor temperature/humidity. The unit feels a little "plasticky" compared to the [...] unit which was built like a tank but can't argue with its performance under the grueling conditions in my attic. see less

I bought all brands so far seven different units. This one has performed the best . For use in pole building with metal walls 50 feet away. Most wouldn't keep a signal. actually none did except this unit. There is also a nice webpage for Information and support and a number you can call if needed. The batteries lasted 4 months. The screen will fade a bit and it quits . Would be nice if it had a low battery indicter.I give this unit AAA see less

The thing worked from the moment i put 4(AA)batteries in it. The temp and humidity seem to be spot on. It's very user friendly and looks like a pda. It has a back that swing out to allow you to stand it up. The only thing I wasnt impressed with, is the reciever is a little bit small. But, i can read it from 10' so can't complain. Dont know about longevity or durability see less

I bought mine at a target store 4/29/13. Target online says it has a clock. My package doesn't say it has a clock. It doesn't have a clock. And yes you have to put the sensor outside. I also live in an apartment. I just hung the sensor outside my window. Overall this thermometer does what I want it to do, give me an easy to read outdoor temperature. Before I bought this thermometer I bought and returned an indoor outdoor thermometer made by Accurite. That one did not read the outdoor temp correctly once the sensor was placed outside. see less

This ad clearly states that the pictured thermometer has an Atomic Clock. I purchased Target Store Item [...] from the Oceanside Target. This is the Oregon Scientific EMR201. It is also called the Weather Series 100. This ad clearly states it has an Atomic Clock. It does not have an Atomic Clock. It does not have any clock at all. To get an Atomic Clock you need to buy the Weather Series 200. see less
