I had the iPod 4th generation and liked it a great deal. When my music collection started to get larger than my iPod's memory, I decided to upgrade. I like that the new iPod is a little smaller than my old iPod but larger than the previous model, and I especially like the touchscreen versus the wheel on the older model. The sound quality on my old iPod was very good, but the new iPod sounds even better. I would definitely recommend this iPod.
This product seems kind of cheap to me mainly because of the inside not the outside look especially for a apple comapany! I would recommend you guys to save up your money and buy the new ipod touch 5 generation which is way better than this one even thought it is way more expensive!!!
I just completed the Death Star this afternoon while watching through all 6 Star Wars movies (I pace my building efforts) over the last week, and if I had to choose a word to describe the experience it would be along the lines of "masterpiece" or simply "epic".
The moment I laid eyes upon the box and picked it up off the shelf my jaw dropped. I built Tower Bridge a month or so prior which contains a lot more pieces but the Death Star box dwarfs it in comparison and weighs a good amount as well. This immediately removed any doubt in my mind that the price to piece count ratio might not be the best. There are quite a few larger plates in this set so don't be (quite) alarmed at it's expensive price tag.
Upon opening the box my jaw dropped again as the instruction booklet for the DS is massive. 260 pages and larger then a regular piece of paper, I've never seen anything quite like it. My only complaint and this seems to be something common with many sets is that the dark grey and black can sometimes be hard to differentiate between. As long as you pay close attention and have a lot of light in your building space you'll be fine.
The minifigures are starting to look somewhat dated in terms of printing when compared to some more recent sets but that makes sense with the age of the DS (5+ years). I am more then satisfied with the 20 minifigures present as it allows something to be happening in every room.
I didn't find the build repetitive at all as Lego has you build platforms and then fill each room on that level each of which has different features. I didn't find myself thinking "really another 10 of these etc." like I have with some other sets recently.
As a finished model it is a nice display piece but the true feature of the DS is its playability. I found myself wishing I could be a kid again so it would be appropriate to re-enact Luke screaming at C3PO to "shut down all trash compactors on the detention level" or make "whoooosh" noises as doors opened and closed. This set is the perfect "Lego dollhouse" as I heard someone put it before. There is a near endless amount of playability to be found and my many nephews aged 5-11 were in awe when they discovered I had bought this.
With the release of Ewok Village I don't know how much longer the Death Star can stick around, and if like me you know how much you'll regret missing it then pull the trigger now. Trust me you won't regret it.
I have wanted to own this set for a long time and I finally got around to buying it. This set did not disappoint. This set took a long time to build; four days to be exact. The thing is, I think I could have completed the set in half the time if it wasn't for the set's one fault: the bag numbers. What I mean by that is that the bags are numbered 1-7 but there are at least 35 bags. I don't know if Lego will get in trouble for having more than 7 bags or what but it makes it very frustrating to sort through 5 bags at a time. I should also mention that I was missing a few pieces but most were replaceable with some extra pieces and the rest were replaced with pick-a-brick for free thanks to my VIP points. I also wish there were more trooper figures and maybe some officers to put in the meeting room.
-Great Mini Figs
-A Great Challenge
-Movie Accurate Rooms
-Needs More Troopers
-Throne Room Should Go Where the Droid Room is
The Death Star is a huge set. It is quite heavy, but still sturdy. The minifigures are chosen well and done well also. The set is incredibly movie accurate and I think the designers did very well this time. The minifigures are one of my favorite things along with the ease of access to the entire model. If anything, it could have used more stormtroopers, but this is easily remedied by converting Han and Luke in the stormtrooper outfits into soldiers. The potential for reenacting the events of Episodes IV and VI is enormous. The elevator works well and the many functions hidden in the floors mark this as a true UCS set.
Darth Vader's mini TIE Advanced
Not enough Imperials
Overall this is an excellent set. The only other problem is that Darth Vader's TIE is too small. However, it fits inside the Death Star and that is why it is too small. I think it works and is pretty cool besides.
I bought this bike for my son a few months ago from a target that is the closest to me ,but still over a hour away. Not making it easy to get back there to return it. My son can not ride it . The tires will not stay aired up. I know I could replace the tubes but we payed [$] and do not feel like I should have to fix something on a new bike we payed so much for.
With taxes, 5% Red Card discount and free shipping I paid [$] bucks for this. Compared to what other retailers are charging for more or less the same Spalding 54" portable bball system, this is an excellent buy.
* Putting it Together:
It took me 5 hours to put it together. I definitely needed my kids to help me a few times. Instructions are pretty good...just follow them to a tee, layout and number all the parts beforehand and you should be good. Fully assembled, I found it to be sturdy and well put together. Looks great in the driveway too.
The adjustable height feature is nice, but getting it back to 10 feet is a pain. I needed the kids to help me. All the other 6" increments I was able to handle myself. The unit is sturdy and I have no worries about it tipping over due to high winds or freezing in the winter as I filled it with water and 2 gallons of anti-freeze per the directions. I do wish the backboard didn't vibrate as much when we shoot the bricks...but that's not a major issue. It's great that the main support pole is angled and out of the way...really like that. I also recommend going with the 54" rather than the smaller ones. It makes for a bigger target and less ball chasing. It won't take up that much more space in your driveway either since it's way up there. So glad I paid more and got the 54".
I am very satisfied with the purchase and would definitely buy it again. The kids and I are having a blast in the driveway with this thing. Should last us many years. Good clean outdoor fun! Video games can't beat this.
I read the reviews on how many had a difficult time putting this together using the DVD. So, I put the DVD aside and just went by the manual. I started at 400 p.m. and was done by 700 p.m.
I would recommend having someone help you move it around as needed while assembling. My 12 year old daughter helped me.
I am very impressed with the quality and stability of this product. It is very strong and will give us years of fun!
I would recommend this to anyone interested in some serious hoop action!
Very nice basketball hoop! [...] Many reviews I've read have complained about the assembly being difficult, I don't see it at all. It took me about 3 hours, including stopping for dinner, and with minimal help from my 9 year old son. All of the parts were there, and the instructions were very easy to follow. Just take your time and read them carefully and it's a breeze. Once we had it up, it proved to be a very sturdy hoop, and a nice solid rim. Couldn't be happier!
I have been into Legos for years, and this set by far is the best, with the exception of the Republic Star Destroyer and the Death Star. Definitely worth the money. The set is really big for the price, and the ion cannons on the side have the best flick-missile system ever. I also love that it comes with Count Dooku and Padme, finally!! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
This is a pretty good faux leather kids' chair for the price. My son absolutely loves his chair. He sits in it quite often. He loves having a little chair of his own. The faux leather is easy to wipe down and clean. Wish the chair came in black though. Also wish there was velcro on the sides of the flap in the back--there is only velcro on the bottom to keep the flap down.
