Adorable in form and function, these jewel-shaped crayons are larger-than-life and hued for maximum impact. Although the different layers aren't that distinct when used on paper, they are still a whole lotta crayon for the price and so pretty you may want to save a set to display on your desk. see less

i just bought these for my daughter and we have not used them yet. they are super cute and seem to be durable. as i was getting ready to wrap them up i thought i should get a pencil sharpener b/c it looks like these are a larger diameter pencil. it doesn't fit in my "chubby stick" sharpener or the regular pencil sharpener. i'm on the look out online to see if kid made modern sells a sharpener for this pencil. see less

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying these crayons. We got these for our 3 year old for her bday and 1 week later most of the crayons are broken. I also thought it was due to her maybe being too rough, but as I watched her coloring nicely and one snapped, like that, I realized it must be the crayons. Then I read the reviews and they backed up my suspicion. Too bad they aren't made better because they sure are fun. At least my 3 yr. old doesn't care if her crayons are broken, she'll still use them, but it is a bummer. see less

These crayons definitely look high end and artsy type higher end that would appeal to the 8-to-12 tween age. The entire concept is cute, unique, and interesting. My daughters did not use them extensively because they were part of the trip-to-New York basket. The box came with those double ended with multiple colors in one. The green one did break at the tip, however, the size holds well and seems sturdy. I would say that they are NOT for everyday coloring use - stick with the tried & true for that. These are great imaging and concept crayons that would be great in a home decor ad. see less

Have been looking forward to these Todd Oldham products for several months. I give kudos to the concept of the multicolored crayons. Fun to look at. Otherwise they are flimsy, even though they are thicker than regular crayons. We broke one within the first 30 minutes. And just with regular coloring by a 13 yr. old. Also, colors are not as vibrant as I had hoped and we tried them on plain white paper. So, overall two stars for the concept, but overall product not very good. see less
