When trying to find bedding I had a really hard time as we're not finding out if we're having a boy or girl. Once I saw this set, I was sold. It's very different in both the colors and the pattern which make it unique. The fabric on the comforter and skirt are thick which should hold up over time. The sheet is nice as well but wish it was a tad softer. My only wish there was a matching mobile.
This product is well made and very colorful. However, the pictures online make it seem like the back ground is white. This is not the case. It is more like a cream or a really pale yellowish white. The gray and white banding around the center is just as pictured but it is quite noticeable that the colors do not match. I am still in LOVE with the set, so I am keeping it. However, my husband was very quick to notice saying, "it doesn't look like it goes together."
I also purchased the matching blanket (see my review) and the blanket is a true white (just like the pictures). When these are next to each other you can truly see just how different the colors are.
The other colors are very vibrant and are better in person. :)
I bought this, along with the fitted crib sheet and changing table cover, in anticipation of adding a baby girl to the family. I have two other very small children, and have purchased MANY baby items as a comparison. The embroidery is pretty and well-done, and the color-scheme is a refreshing break from the obnoxious overabundance of pink/purple mixes on the market for girls. My only complaint is that, unlike most other baby blankets i have purchased, this is NOT fuzzy on both sides NOR is in trimmed or lined in a soft sateen. The reverse of the blanket is a scratchy printed cotton material, which is also what is used on the border. I washed it with extra fabric softener as the cotton fabric was so coarse. the fuzzy part is fine.
I registered for this online, and received it as a gift. It is not pure white- kind of a dingy white, but other than that, the embroidery is pretty and it washed pretty well. The back of the blanket is the same cotton as the trim, and it shrunk a little while the fleece part did not. I like it, but I probably would not have bought it had I seen it in person. I still love the embroidery.
