I use these for potato wedges, steak fries, bean burgers, veggies, and more. They have heft and haven't warped after many uses. We wash by hand and after a few uses, I have taken to using parchment paper for easy clean-up--regular-sized Silpats didn't fit. I'm able to fit two of these pans side by side vertically in our oven. They have a 375-degree limit. Bought two and have since bought two more in case the first two ever wear out. I am enjoying my pans. I have had to do some research on how to care for them though. Yes, heat them and then add oil is a good idea. That way it does not get too hot before you put in the food and splatter all over. Make sure to add the oil slowly. Cooking spray does not work the best. It tends to leave brown spots. They come off with a product recommended by Kitchenaid. I accidently got the pan too hot and the bottom turned coppery colored. I tried vinegar, baking soda, and dish soap. It would not come off. I went and got this product and it saved my pan. Vinegar works well to polish. Absolutely no dishwasher for these pans. I repeat no dishwasher!! Also Medium heat is high enough to boil water in these pans. I did wash them once in the dishwasher and they turned bluish. Vinegar polished them back up, but I will be hand washing from now on. I have been cooking for twenty years and otherwise am happy with my pans. see less

I grew up on stainless, but for the past decades I've been using non-stick pans. Now with the evidence about non-stick, I asked for new pans for Christmas. I did a lot of research on stainless steel pans and how to treat them. I learned new things in my research. 1- No dishwasher 2- Hot Pan - Cold Oil 3- [...] Just say no to the dishwasher. I used to put the oil into the pan and then heat them up. According to my research that is exactly wrong. Stainless will act non-stick if you heat the pan THEN put in the oil/butter. Foods do have a tendency to stain cookware. [...] is a dry cleaning powder that helps clean the pans to the just-like-new state. I find these pans wonderful and a good buy. Make sure you understand the difference between stainless and non-stick, and how to take care of them, and they will last longer than any non-stick pans you get. see less

Love, Love, Love this cookware!!! This is a great stainless steel cookware set. I was so tired of the peeling teflon, non-stick pans, so upgraded to stainless. This set is great! I cook everyday, usually three times a day, my cookware must be durable and easy to use. I love every piece. From eggs, soups, stir fry, rice, beans, chicken and rice, gravy steak, fudge, peanut brittle, you name it and I cook it - I cook everything you can imagine and everything turns out perfectly. These pans cook everything like an expensive pro set. I especially love the easy clean up. These pans look beautiful, even after every day use. We have an old gas propane stove which is hard to cook anything on low, but that is no problem with these pots and pans. Thank you KitchenAid and thank you Target for such a great price on this set of wonderful cookware!!! see less

The nonstick surface on my old muffin pan was wearing away so I tossed it. I went to Target and saw many. The Kitchenaid muffin pan was a little more expensive than some of the others, but it's worth it! I have used it three times so far. When the muffins are done, they literally slide right out of the pan. Follow directions to keep it nonstick--do not oil the pan and hand wash, even though it's so clean after I use it, I am tempted to put it away in the cupboard without washing it... I highly recommend this. see less

If you have always used the traditional round pans, you should definitely look into a sprinform pan. These pans are awesome! They allow your cake to emerge unharmed unlike some cake pans allow if there is not enough grease on the pan. Try this. You'll love it! see less

This would be a great baking pan except for one thing, The glue that holds the label on the pan is indestructible. I have dealt with label holding glue before and it was simple to just rub it off the pan, but this glue wouldn't budge. After I was unable to rub it off, I tried to soak it, which yielded no results, and I tried to scrub it, which after wearing down one of my scrubbing pads eventually got the glue down to a sticky residue that won't scrub off. No matter how much effort I put into scrubbing a sticky film still remains on the pan and I don't much want to include that in my meals. Would be a great pan, but do yourself a favor and buy a different one, or at least check and see if they start using different glue for the label on this one. see less

No complaints! I love the variety of saucepans and skillets. Everything you need. Clean up is a breeze. They heat up quickly and are high quality. Not what I'm used to with a non-stick cookware set. I get a lot of compliments on my cookware. I am careful only to use plastic or bamboo utensils while cooking or serving to protect the non-stick surface. I highly recommend this set! They heat up quicker than my old T-fal set did. I'm using lower heat settings which is better for the cookware. see less

I have had this stock pot for about a year and half and it has been great. I have cooked everything from ice cream to seared meat... i have even tossed it on occasion, passionate cook. It cleans up well as long a you get water in it right after you are finished cooking. It has really stood the test of time and i am very pleased with it for the price ..... which i thought was really expensive until i began researching stainless steal cookwear. I have ruined many nonstick frying pans in my live and finally learned my lesson. Now I never use more than medium heat, always use a plastic turner, and don't use cooking spray, only oil. I also watch the pan closely at first so it does not overheat the oil. This Kitchen Aid Hard Base frying pan I used heavily for over one year now, it is the best one I ever had! It has also the right weight, not too heavy. see less

No non-stick skillet lasts forever and I expect to replace them, but the quality and price for this item is excellent. I am always shopping for this type of skillet and this is the heaviest, thickest, and best even cooking non-stick skillet I have found. The handle is very comfortable. The shiny aluminum outside will dull and scratch, but only cosmetic and I am interested in function. It will not heat up as quickly as a copper skillet, but I would not pay for a copper non-stick skillet, and I do have lots of copper skillets and pans. The outside of colored non-stick skillets always wears off and gets stained with burned on food or grease, but at least the aluminun can be scrubbed with[...] and you can get the grease off. I expect to have this as long as any other non-stick skillet, but will not heat the pan on high, nor use other than wood or soft rubber or silicone tools, nor put it in the dishwasher. No non-stick skillet is suitable for high heat. see less

Okay, saying this skillet is "a beautiful thing" may be over the top for some of you. I have had this skillet for a little over a week and have cooked every dinner in it, everything from chicken thighs in dry seasonings to salmon fillets with caramelized onions and a lemon juice base. If you already know how to use staineless steel but need a new skillet - this one is it. A little heavy? Yes. Takes a little longer to heat up, yes. Me, I look at it like it's sturdy on the stove (I use a small gas stove) and the thick base distributes the heat so evenly the little extra weight is worth it. If you know to add an acid base liquid (tomato sauce, lemon, wine, vinegar) when it's still hot it is a dream to clean. Plus the sucs (little pieces stuck to the pan) deglaze so easily you can make wonderfules sauces. Can I say enough about this skillet? No, it's absolutelt wonderful. [...] Okay, the downside - if you've never cooked on stainless steel it does take a little getting used to. Not much but the pan will control how you cook, not the other way around. It's okay though, learn how to use it. It's easy.The other thing - yeah, I sure wish it had a lid. One of my other lids fits well enough but it sure would be nice if it had one of its own. I was nervous about getting a Stainless Steel Skillet, I've always had non-stick coating. I am tired of replacing my cookware because of the coating scratching and coming off. I should have went this route a long time ago. I have no problems with this skillet. Nice and heavy, cooks evenly, washes up perfect. I highly recommend this brand. see less

I am rather difficult to please when it comes to cookware. I also don't like to spend a fortune for a decent product. This one is great. Heat distribution and the non-stick surface are really good. No more sticking. As a note, when I bought the product, the label clearly stated NOT DISHWASHER safe, so don't put it in the dishwasher. It is SO easy to hand wash, it really isn't a problem. Love the product. Now, if I can just find a proper lid for it. I'll be buying the other sizes in this line too. see less

I love this frying pan. The non-stick finish seems to be very good, but I can find no information about it to know for sure how it is made. I wanted to be sure that it is not teflon now that I am aware this is so bad. I washed mine in the dishwasher and the outside finish is ruined. I don't care because I love the way it handles and cooks. I also love the weight of it. But I wish it had clearly stated "Hand Wash only" see less

I received these as a wedding gift and they are quite the step up from my old set. The heat seems to be very even from the first couple of times that I've used them. The style is slightly different than your "every day" set, so that is a nice bonus if you're looking for something different but not too flashy. The reasons I didn't give 5 stars- -The 10-inch skillet doesn't come with a cover - it's not the same size as the stock pot, so that one can't be used, which I thought was weird. That piece is sold separately from the set - and not at Target. - And the Target description lists "non-stick" as a product attribute, but the box doesn't have any mention of that. So I'm unsure if they're non-stick, but I haven't had any issue cleaning them so far although I haven't really burned anything in them yet. Other than that, so far these seem like a very good gift! see less

Don't waste your money on this. The coating on this 8qt Kitchen Aid stock pot starting flaking off around the rim after only one week. When we tried to return it to Target, we we were told that we could not do so w/o the label that we had already thrown away. Fortunately, the second time back, we spoke to another clerk who allowed us to make the return just using our receipt. see less
