My wife had lost some weight and she complained of being cold a lot. I do not like having a lot of weight on me. This blanket solved a need. Ours worked for two years and then failed. I contacted the company and they were great. First they will send out new controllers. If that does not fix the problem then I can pay to send everything back and get a new blanket and the warranty starts over. 5 Year warranty. You might have to be patient with this but this company. They are a small company, but they will stand behind this product. I appreciate their integrity. see less

I was initially hesitant to consider this blanket given the poor reviews, but I have had no problems with this blanket. I hope that others who purchase this realize that there is a 10-hour timer on the blanket and then it automatically shuts off. So that is why some people may be complaining that it worked and then it didn't -- even though the light on the control may be on, the timer will shut off the heating function. Just turn the switch off and on again to get the heat to restart. I bought a twin size to put on my full size bed and it's large enough to cover the entire top of the bed. Not only do I love it, but my two cats love it, too. see less

I love this blanket. Just the right weight and does not get mis-shapen like cotton knits. I have washed it once and it came out fine. I worry though because I have only washed it once and everyone else seems to be saying it turned out bad. I bought the cream. I may have used tennis balls to dry just to fluff it a bit. Anyway, I hope it stays good because I want to buy one for my guest bed. see less

We bought this blanket in a hurry and it has proven to be an excellent choice. I thought it was very lightweight and couldn't possibly provide enough warmth. In fact, I almost brought it back because it seemed to lack bulk. Happily, I was wrong. Yes, it is light, but it keeps us completely toasty at night. It washes well. Wow, I NEVER write reviews but when I got on target.com to purchase a 2nd one of these and saw bad reviews I had to speak up! Maybe these other people don't have a "hand wash" or very gentle "gentle" cycle, but this blanket has been my favorite I've purchased EVER! It cuddles up around you and every single person that has used it at my house has raved about it!! I went to college and had many textile classes and the "hand" on this is great. I LOVE IT. see less

I adore this blanket. I don't know what the other review was about concerning it falling apart. I too washed it before using it and it left the same amount behind that a pilling sweater would. It's a perfect blanket for a nap on the couch or to use in bed. The cable-knitting is beautiful but I can't get passed how soft it is. I just love it. Somehow, I happened to find it on clearance in a Target out of town. So to love it this much and pay what I paid makes me even happier. However, I've bragged about it so much, that I now need to buy two for people for Christmas...so I'll be paying full price, and know that it's worth it. see less

I love this blanket. The yarn is soft and the color is beautiful - I sprung for the blue. The chunky knit looks really cool. My only complaint is that the loose knit that makes it so unbelievably soft also allows the yarn to easily catch on things and pull. Because of it's snaggablility, I don't know how long it will last, but I will thoroughly enjoy wrapping up in this extra soft throw while I can! see less

I purchased this throw in the off-white color for my 20-month-old's crib. It became her "brand new nap blanket" and talking about it was a key ally in getting her sleep in the afternoon. After the first or second use, I notice some minor fraying of the yarn, which was disappointing but not too disconcerting. However, yesterday -- we've maybe used it half a dozen times now -- I walked into my daughter's room to find a single loop of yarn pulled completely out of the blanket and hanging on my daughter's neck!!! She is a typical curious toddler, but not destructive in the least and certainly not very strong. Thankfully she chose to "get curious" at the end of her nap rather than the beginning, and thankfully I now know to check the gauge of the yarn before tossing it into the crib. But I really don't think anything should come apart like that! see less

Makes me wonder if there's a production inconsistency. First one was purchased in store. I bought this blanket in the coral color and it is beautiful !!! It is so soft and fuzzy I want to cocoon myself in it. I washed it once and there has been no problem with fuzz at all. I really love the unique pinstripe pattern. And what a deal. I've paid a lot more than that for lesser quality blankets. What a great buy all the way around. see less

Bought this in Mint/Ash. It is the only covering on the bed right now and it is perfect for my husband and I. He gets so hot at night, but I can't sleep without a blanket! The fabric allows air to flow through it so it is pleasantly cool, but also is nice and cozy. We paired it with the Threshold Performance Sheet in Blue Geo and it matches perfectly. We spread the Threshold Microplush Blanket in Teal at the foot of the bed for when I get to cold at night. I don't dry it -- just wash on gentle and let it hang dry and then tumble it on no heat. It does get snagged...we have a little dog and her nails snagged a couple places. I just tugged the weaved threads around the snag and the loose thread pulled back into place. see less

Feels really lovely against the skin - smooth, soft, no snagging on rough cuticles, and for a tactile-kinetic freak like me, it meets all my quotas for texture. Felt it in store, now will buy online. I can't speak for longevity, but as with all knit fabrics, wash cold and only lightly fluff dry - remove as soon as it's done. It's made of sweater material, but it's too big to lay flat to dry, so yeah. Expect some shrinkage as it's made of natural materials, but if you wash correctly, no biggie. see less

I have this in the "gully gold" on our king-sized bed. The photograph doesn't do the texture of the weave justice. It's handsome enough to use as a coverlet. The blanket breathes nicely and is of a comfortable weight for sleeping under. I first shopped for a blanket at a national department store and prices started at 100 dollars for a very basic color and weave. This blanket is a steal at 50 dollars, especially for organic cotton. see less

I have bought 2 blankets. One is chocolate, the other is ivory colored. I purchased them at the same time and have laundered them the exact same. The chocolate one sheds fuzz balls EVERY WHERE!!!! The lint balls have been spotted on the floor, my clothes, they have even been known to pop up on the seats in my car. I have questioned whether or not to throw the blanket away, but I LOVE THESE BLANKETS! I am actually on here to purchase another one. I have had them for about 1 1/2 yrs. The brown one still sheds and have had no issues with the white one. They are just as warm and soft as the day I bought them see less

I ordered a second of these blankets after having the first one for over 5 years. I was surprised to read other people had problems with shedding, as I have never experienced that with either of the blankets. The first blanket has survived 5 years of a little one using it, so it has been washed numerous times and always looks and feels great. I would highly recommend for the price. see less

I bought a blue one for myself. The kids loved its softness so much, I had to promise them one of their own to get them out of my bed. The blanket is very fuzzy and warm. It has a very soft microfiber binding on the edges. I have recommended this to many. The blue one and white one we bought did not shed. I was looking for a big, soft fuzzy blanket in purple, this is exactly what I wanted and a great price. I bought 2 in wine. I love, LOVE my new blankets & will be ordering more in several colors. My son wants one for his bed & my mom also wants one. I'm using mine for furniture covers, they not only look fantastic they're super soft & so comfy! I read the reviews about "shedding" after I ordered mine & became very concerned. I received my blankets yesterday & expected major shedding, I was delighted to find that was NOT the case! I've had NO problems with shedding! ZERO! I even pulled at the fur trying to get it to shed and it did not. Please don't be discouraged from ordering these blankets due to the "shedding" reviews. If I'd read those first, I probably would've passed on a wonderful blanket that's already become the favorite of everyone in my home, incuding my pets. Get the blanket home & judge for yourself. This blanket is the best blanket I have ever owned. I signed up to write a review, just so I could review them -floral and solid! My sister is a High-End blanket designer and she has 3!! I have about 5-6, I don't know anymore. Under "shabby chic" blankets, there are floral and the solid color ones -ALL SPECTACULAR! The colors are all a milky pastel -very gorgeous. Shocking! They never get color AND feel right. We always have to settle for one quality or the other, right? Not in this case. They wash great, too. The lady who said different -her machine is broke! I put one as a "flat sheet" and cover with another one -sandwiching myself between 2. I swear, I'm now miserable if I'm not in my bed because of these blankets! My 8 year old will NOT sleep without hers, either. I bought a smaller twin size for her to take to the living room with her to cozy up on the couch with... I'm gonna cry when I can no longer buy them. I'll never sleep again if that happens!!! see less

These blankets are my favorite blankets I've ever owned! In the stores, you can get a baby blue floral one, too. The colors -Gorgeous! They are all a milky pastel -not generic or over dyed. The fabric -Uber Plush, lavish, lush -yeah, all those words! They wash great. The review above has a cat -Hello! The other negative reviewer said they balled up -well, don't wash in hot water -Hello! Another said the king was too small- well, buy a Cal king -Hello! I mean this in a good way, but, I cannot believe they come from Target. I've never considered buying bedding from Target. I'll admit, I'm a bedding snob. I spend thousands at Restoration Hardware, Scandia, Matteo... on linen and silk bedding and these blankets, for what they are, can't be beat! I probably have 6 -I stopped counting. I sandwich myself between 2 of them and I feel like I'm wrapped in a warm, fuzzy, cloud! My 8 year old feels the same. I have had a vellux blanket since I was a toddler. I am now a mother of three and ALL my kids have vellux blankets, even my husband. You have to wash this blanket at least once before you use it, and it takes just a little bit of time for this super warm blanket to get super soft, but well worth it. I highly recommend this blanket and have converted several friends. see less
