I already wrote a review on this but somehow it doesn't show to me. I love this shelf. It's heavy and durable. I actually enjoyed assembling it, too, with the way all the hardware was organized in little sections by steps. It's a great book shelf but I use it mostly for decor - in the living room it just filled up a stupid empty corner where nothing else would go. Highly recommend. By the way, my packaging was perfect and nothing was damaged. see less

I was a bit hesitant once I saw one star of a previous review but after I read it I realized I need to still buy one and rehabilitate its reputation. My package wasn't damaged and it was really heavy, which is good, because a piece of furniture like that, you want it stable and reliable. I enjoyed assembling it, too, because everything was such a good quality and all the hardware was packed in sections for part 1, 2 and so on of assembly. We had a corner in our living room that asked for something and this shelf just clicked in there. So ready to put some decor and books in it and it's ready to roll. I also appreciate that it has legs, because it's easier to run the wires behind it. It had a little scratch - paint off - on the top trim, but I decided it's not worth the hassle of return, nothing a little black sharpie couldn't fix. see less

not too happy with receiving the product. After taking the pieces of the shelf out of the badly damaged box, I was surprised to see only 1 piece broken. I could have dealt with it if it was a crack in a shelf but it was the entire side/support. The corner was busted off and it had atleast 3 cracks in the middle of the wood. Will be returning and getting my money back. see less

I bought this bookcase to fill an empty corner in my bedroom that needed some nicer organization. I assembled it in about a half hour and I am very impressed with the overall look... appears much more expensive than it actually is. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on quality was there were a few scuffs on two of the shelves, but a little furniture polish helped to diminish them a bit, and the pegs that connect the upper and lower pieces did not want to go in as easily as they probably should have. Also, heads up on the 3 wood screws required to secure the two pieces... one screw goes on the back two pieces and attaches fine, however the screws that go into the side pieces were at a very awkward angle and difficult to screw in - you need a short phillips head or it won't go in... I ended up using a swiss army knife. All in all I'm very happy with the shelf and you can't beat the price. Oh, and shipping was super fast, got here a week earlier than Target quoted!! see less

This holds our cookbooks, a small plant and a basket of napkins. It is solid wood, and sturdy, although I did attach it to the wall using L-brackets because we have small children.It did not require assembly; the shelves flip up and the unit folds. It came as 2 separate 3-shelf units and one 'top' shelf. If I had ordered 2 3-shelf units, I would have been able to set one of the tops aside for use as a 6-shelf unit or use both tops and have two 3-shelves units.The shelf spacing is 11",11", 8" (from bottom to top, for each pair). see less

Overall this shelf has a very easy setup. It is not very sturdy, do not suggest having this on a carpeted surface unless you buy anchors for it. It is very top heavy. There is not alot of space on the shelves and the height in between can not fit an 8x10 frame. see less

We looked for MONTHS for an affordable corner shelf unit before we found this one. It turned out to be EXACTLY what we were looking for. First of all, it's extremely easy to put together: unlike most retail stort furniture, it comes almost completely assembled. You get two fully-assembled three-shelf units that simply stack on top of each other. Second, it's VERY nice-looking for the price. And so far it has proven quite durable.We'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a nice book or knick-knack shelf for a corner space. see less

We had a corner that needed this and it fit just fine. Wouldn't put heavy or large items, but the wife had stuffed animals that were cluttering up her dresser and desk, so this was a natural. Arrived intact in excellent condition in three boxes, and took maybe 15-30 minuted to put together and put into use. No real assembly just placing the three pieces into place. see less

We purchased this along with the Carson Media Stand in Espresso and two of the Carson 5 Shelf Bookcases. All of these items are well made and heavy. There was some light damage to a couple of the outside corners but the damage was easily covered with a brown Sharpie. The assembly takes a while. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to do all 4 pieces since there are dowells and screws to put everything together. We were especially impressed with the detail of the moulding on the tops of the units and on the shelves. We wound up purchasing a second Corner Bookcase to put on the other side of the Media Stand. Overall, I would purchase this brand again. It's a great value for the price paid. And Target's free shipping made it even better. see less
