I love these blocks! They're perfect for small handed babies, chewing and of course stacking! The designs on them keeps my child interested in looking and tlaking about the pictures and when you have a one year old boy who likes destruction there is nothing better than soft blocks being thrown about. I highly reccommend this not only as a personal home purchase but as an adorable gift! Bright colors keep babies interested, light weight so they can pick them up, and squishy for chewing and won't hurt if they fall on them. And you can wash them easily! This is a really cute set, but it is definitely for an older child with advanced fine motor skills. The directions are pretty good. I guess if one is familiar with the Lego product, she will find this easy to put together. The moving parts lend themselves to imaginative play. He spent about 10 hours - with forced breaks to eat - a few days after Christmas putting this together by himself, and has played with it every day since. I LOVE these blocks, and so does my 18 month old and my 6.5 year old. I have been looking for a nice bristle block set because my toddler loves blocks and I knew he would have success with this style block. I remember having these as a kid but these are so much nicer! The set is huge,and comes with some really cool specialty pieces that offer a nice creative edge to it. They have 3 different "handle" pieces that rotate and can be used in so many ways, we are just beginning to scratch the surface of the potential of this toy. They also come with four wheels which is essential for building vehicles and machines of all kind. The color palette is so beautiful and modern, a nice change to the standard primary colors that you see in most toys. I have see other sets out there for about the same price and this is by far the nicest in my opinion. see less

Even her older brother was impressed with the "secret compartment." This set has held her interest and I thought the treehouse left a lot of room for imaginative play. I really don't understand the drama about the Lego Friends line...at first I was skeptical too...what, girls can't play with regular Legos?...but once I saw how much my daughter enjoyed them I got over it. They're Legos marketed to girls, not the only Legos for girls. see less

My daughter was ecstatic to receive this for Christmas. Target had the best price of everywhere I looked. The set had easy to follow instructions for my almost six-year-old, although some parts required some adult help to create. Her almost eight-year-old sister did a lot of helping. The only downside to the initial set up was that she lost interest as it did take some time to put together. Once it was fully assembled, the girls played with it constantly! We purchased this for our daughter that just turned 6 and she LOVES it. She was so excited about it that we completed the entire house in one sitting together. At first, we planned to do one room at a time each day, but she didn't want to stop. I helped with the stickers, my 7 year old organized the legos for each page and then my 6 year old put everything together. Some of the items are very small and need a few tries to get them to stay in place, but overall a great investment. Only downside I can say is, I wish the entire set was a bit larger so she could really play with it like a dollhouse. The size that it is only allows her to carefully play with it, or else she ends up knocking over other items or having some things break apart. see less

I love the Lego Star Wars Rancor Pit! It's from the Jabba the Hut scene in Return of the Jedi. On the back of the box it says you can combine it with Jabba's palace. There's a gate that you can drop on Rancor. There's even a hidden compartment where you can put bones and a place where Luke can hide. There is a door that opens and if you wish the set was bigger, there's a little thing where the set opens up. Rancor can walk around and he can go Da da da da. I'm 6 years old and I put it together myself. The set came out this year. I recommend it to anyone who loves legos and star wars. see less

This is my first Lego kit I have not actually finished putting it together yet but I have built several mini figures and completed the tower I tend to think the mini figures are the big sellers of kits and this one gives you plenty The instructions are very easy though sometimes the angle or the brick color in the drawing can be confusing There are a lot of small pieces What is nice is that the instructions cover each bag You only need to open one bag at a time NOTE Some people who have the older kits of Jabba Palace Lego had put out before have complained that the bricks are not compatible These bricks are smaller I believe see less

This is one of my favorite Lego set recently and the best starship kit we have built. It feels compact and looks very cool. It is easy for my son to hold while playing. The set was easy to assemble with the included directions. The build time was enough to be satisfying without becoming a chore. The ship is very well designed and is not as fragile as other sets I have experience with. Even after several days of play all of the pieces are still on together. The other great feature about this set is the additional minifigs and the little mining platforms for the figs to battle from. Overall great set with a lot of play value. Everyone automatically assumes Star Wars and Legos are just for boys. This is totally wrong, we got this set for my son who is 8 yo. My 12 yo daughter has been playing with him and enjoying it as well! Neither of them has ever seen a Star Wars movie but they both love Legos and know more about Star Wars than I do! The set came with not just 1 or 2 little Lego figures but 5!!! YES!!! My kids thought this was incredibly awesome and of course they set out to first put these figures together and have little play fights with them. The fun part is they even came with light sabers! They have been working together to put the ship together and we all like that the pieces come in separate bags like little kits that make it easier to figure out what is what. My son struggled a bit with the instructions since they are all pictures and very little wording. You have to guess a lot what the pictures mean. This LEGO set may seem really cool, especially if you're interested in the new Avengers movie, but LEGO could have done MUCH better. The Quinjet is a really cool set, but it seems everybody I know likes the sets for the characters. This is what makes this set bad. Loki's head is the same as Lex Luthor's from the DC sets. and Black Widow? They made Scarlett Johanssen look OLD. Also, if you saw the movie like I did, her hair is WAY too long. LEGO is getting a bit lazy with their figures lately. Also Thor's hair is NOT yellow! it's blonde, but not bright yellow! I recommend this set highly, but i would change those few thing with other lego parts. see less

This is a great starter set for any kid getting into legos. The variety and number (704!) of pieces gave a lot of options for our 6 year old. There is an instruction book with about a half dozen suggested designs which is fun also, but encourages creative free design as well. In some ways, I prefer this to the sets which make a specific item. Storage box is helpful and comes with two lego people. see less

We received a truck very similar to this (same brand) for our son's 1st birthday. He played with it for a couple years and would probably still be playing with it if we hadn't had to clean out old toys for all the new toys he's received since for birthdays and Christmases. Our daughter also enjoyed playing with it. We bought this truck for our nephew for his 2nd birthday, and he loves it, too. The kids love to pick up the blocks, dump them out, stack them on top of the truck or just onto each other. We used it for our kids as another way to help with color identification and blocks are just always fun for kids! see less
