I've rented a carpet cleaning machine from the grocery store twice a year for five years now. It costs around 50 dollars with each rental, plus the time it takes to haul the thing back and forth. I've been looking into buying a carpet cleaner for sometime, but spending an arm and a leg is a great deterret. When I saw this machine, at this price, with all of these great reviews, it was like a match made in heaven. My cleaner arrived last night and I cleaned all of my carpeted spaces in the same time it takes for me to vacuum them. I am thrilled with the results, and with the machine. It's incrediably light weight and easy to use. It's easy to clean too, and I was able to clean two bedrooms, a hallway and large great room with just two tanks of water/solution. I love it! And I'll probably use it again this weekend! see less

I dont use the cleaning solution because of allergies. Just fill tank with warm water and a teaspoon of baking soda. Then clean again with only sparkling water in the tank. it pulled a ton of old soap out of the carpet in my new apartment. The carpet dries in a couple hours beautifully. I want to buy a couple more water tanks, so I can swap solutions as I clean. (Keep sparkling water in the frig to keep it fizzy). I dump dirty water in a bucket as I clean. to save trips see less

I have owned Bissell products before, Well they have come leaps and bounds over the years. I have a studio apartment 400 square feet of carpet it was new carpet when I moved in but had a few spills her and there. This little guy is a power house for a small area but to do a whole home plan on making a day out of it. see less

I have to say, I was skeptical that this would remove the months old stains on my carpet...but it totally did. I have a dog who had quite a few accidents while being house trained, and although I had used other pet carpet cleaners there were still stains! I had just kind of resigned myself to the fact that I would have to live with it. But I kept seeing Bissell commercials (kudos to your Marketing and Advertising folks for the perfectly placed ads) and decided to give this a try. And it worked. Literally the stains are gone!! I would absolutely recommend the SpotClean! see less

Oh Bissell, I am not one to EVER write reviews however, I had to write regarding an incident that occurred with my dog last night. Apparently my poor pup had 3 serious bouts of stomach issues around 5 a.m. and managed to leave 3 large piles of something unidentifiable. Two were embedded in my daughters pink shag carpet and one on a low pile cream colored carpet in front of my eldest son's room. Now, I am not very good with these types of accidents. Area rugs and towels typically get thrown away in our home when this occurs. I know, I know I am sure you are thinking "TMI"-too much information about your dog and life lady. So my first thought was ..."Oh no I am going to have to replace this carpet" I immediately jumped online and started researching steam vacuums so I could run out and purchase something and get the "issue" dealt with in a timely manner. I was looking for something portable as our home is a bit on the larger side and I wanted to be able to easily carry it up and down the stairs, etc.. All reviews lead me to the Bissell Spot Clean. It took two Large Box retail stores to find it. as the first one was out of stock on this item. I Bought it, brought it home and with a little effort it seriously removed all 3 stains! I actually could not believe it. My children came home from school and my oldest said "wow, I cannot believe that actually came out" This saved me both the expense of a professional steam cleaner and/or a trip to the carpet store. Thank you Bissell!!!! Now if you could only solve my dog's shedding and dog hair issue! My current two vacuums, one which was remotely expensive, DO NOT seem to get the matted dog hair off of the few shag rugs in our home, regardless of everyday vacuuming. Suggestions are welcomed! see less

I wanted something to clean the upholstery that wasn't just a surface clean. I have tried sprays and wipes which really didn't do that great a job. The sprays seamed to attract more dirt. I have researched and read so many reviews. So, I decided go ahead and spend the money to buy this unit. I am so glad I did. I regularly vacuum my furniture, but knew that it needed more. Boy, was I right. I used it this week and could not believe the dirt that was left in the tank. If you are on the bubble as to whether to buy this or not, go ahead and do it. You wont be sorry! see less

This is the perfect product for spot cleaning carpets. I have a cat that has been sick and can't always make it to the litter box. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a wall holder. Instead I have it sitting on the floor. see less

Have used for household spills of all kinds on carpets and tiled flooring. Couldn't have done without while training my puppy with her tummy upsets and accidents. Have to get another as accidentally caused a burn out. see less

I received this as a gift and I am so glad! Living in a condo, I don't have a lot of unused storage space. This cleaner is smaller that most, the handle compacts, is light weight, easy to use and cleans like a champ. I was looking at larger, more heavy duty cleaners and am glad that I got this one before buying something else. It's easy to pull out and clean throw rugs as well as full carpets. Having a pet that has accidents on occasion, this has been a wonderful cleaner. see less

This little machine is fabulous for quick spot cleaning and heavy traffic areas. It is not the solution for whole home carpet cleaning, nor should it be considered an alternative to professional cleaning (or a more sophisticated deep cleaner) I use it to clean the hallways, entrance and anywhere else to pick up spilled food, tracked in dirt or whatever between professional cleaning. But you have heard all of that before..... If you ever thought about getting one of these little cleaners and were not certain that it could do the job, Let me tell you a story about how this little machine saved a carpet and how Bissell became the ONLY steam cleaner I will ever use. I recently painted the entire interior of my house, by myself. It took me several weeks to do the job, working one room at a time. (the whole house is carpeted) so furniture had to be moved out and dropcloths put down to protect the carpet from paint. Just as I was putting the last room back in order I noticed a spot missed on the ceiling. I put down a drop cloth under the spot and got my step stool brush and paint to touched up the spot. I prepared to step down and missed the step and I fell, not hurt, but the paint landed upside down on the carpet. I watched while paint spread over the carpet in horror. I had no time to get to the hardware store to rent a cleaner. So I grabbed my ReadyClean and a bucket of water and went to work. It wasn't easy, (and I hope I never have to do it again) but the ReadyClean picked up all of the paint (about half a gallon) I kept the paint diluted with water and managed to use the little cleaning machine to extract the paint! It was amazing. Not only did it save the carpet, but it still works perfectly (after some serious cleaning) These are great little machines. see less

I have a Corgi, who is 3, and track in dirt from walks into my condo and still have leftover cleaning patches from a "rear end issue" he had this past summer. I just used my Ready Clean for the first time and LOVE IT! It cleaned up my entry way and all of the leftover spots! I have a beige carpet too. Living in a condo, I needed something light weight and easy to store. Thanks for making this! see less
