The cover of the pot is so flimsy it does not shut properly so all the steam goes out of the pot. So you have to constantly add water and if you dont you have burnt tamales. When using the pot for the first time the bottom of the pot was completely burnt. Dont waste you time and investment.
My Tamale Steamer just replaced my very heavy 25 year old pressure cooker.
With Imusa Tamale/Seafood Steamer my tamales were cooked just under 90 min. They were firm and moist, so delicious.
What a great product Imusa!
