my mother in law bought this for me, and she bought it in an extra large... normally I would have gotten myself a medium or at the most a large in this brand of maternity dresses, but the extra large fit comfy on my huge baby bump. It was a little long on my 5'4" frame, but luckily for me the dress did shrink a little in the dryer so that helped with the looser and longer parts of the dress. It fits perfectly now on me. My only concern is that this dress maybe runs small in size, because I have other maternity dresses from this designer and they are all mediums, see less

I love this dress! It makes me feel completely covered and modest while still being trendy. It is one of the only maxi dresses I have found with sleeves - love that. The length is perfect - I am 5'5 and it brushes the ground, which I love - gives me the option of flats or wedges! The entire skirt is pleated, giving my small bump plenty of room for growth. I can dress it up with metallic jewelry and shimmery flats for work, or dress it down with a jean jacket and sandals for the weekend. I am in LOVE! I only wish it came in more colors! I ordered a size down like everyone suggested. I can honestly say I would wear this if I wasn't pregnant. I bought it in purple, and while it's not that bold purple it appears in the picture, it's still a beautiful color. It fits perfect and has room for my lady lumps to grow, which is ideal considering. Also, I'm 5'10", 4 months along and barely showing, but the length was perfect! If I had a huge belly it might need tights or something to accomodate the belly rise but it falls to just above my knees. I'm super pleased with this purchase. see less

This dress must depend on your body type. I don't understand the bad reviews because it fits me perfectly!! I ordered the black in small and extra small. Pre-pregnancy, I was 145 and 5'4". Now I have a medium-large bump in my last 8 weeks of pregnancy and weigh 170. I was very surprised that the XS fit perfectly with room to go the last 2 months. I think it's very flattering and makes my belly look tiny! I have 3 weddings coming up and this dress will be great for them. see less

So glad I didnt go with what everyone said about this dress. It is perfect for my baby shower! The color is just right. I am glad I went with the smaller size it will need to be taken up some under the arm but other than that PERFECT! Remember everyone is different if you like it go for it.Dont you still go to the movie you want to see even if the reviews isnt great and end up loving it. Only point I would make is go for a size down than what you usually wear! see less

I think the model looks ridiculous in this dress with her huge shoes with the dress floating 6 inches above the floor. It really doesn't drape like that on me either. Looks better in person. I just got this in the mail today and it is just lovely! The material is light and airy and will be perfect for hot outdoor summer parties. The "shelf bra" is a problem. It's so loose I will never fill it so it bunches, but even if I did, it has so little material it would only cover 1/3 of my bra. I would take it out but it's not worth it. The material is inappropriately thin. I would have to wear something underneath and that defeats the purpose of a light summer dress. see less

I really like this dress! The fabric is just a bit thicker than all the Merona maternity dresses, which makes all the difference in the world. Wish it came in more colors! The only small criticism I have about this dress is that once you've washed it, the pleats don't lay flat, but it's easily fixed with 30 seconds and my steamer. see less

My brother-in-law is getting married in June when I'll be around 28 weeks pregnant, and have been looking for a great dress everywhere. I ordered this dress and it's fantastic! It fits perfectly without making you look frumpy. I was a size 14 pre-preggo and ended up getting a medium. I ordered a large at first but the dress came with some broken stones so when I returned it I got the medium. Large would have been fine too but because it's got a lot of 'give' to it, I figured ordering the medium would mean I could probably wear it not pregnant too. I agree with the other review that the strings do seem a little flimsy but I'm sure they'll be fine. Definitely add this to your summer preggo wardrobe! see less

I got this dress today - and I love it! I am 29 weeks, 215 pounds and I ordered a Large and it fits great and I still feel like I have a little room. This will be my go-to dress for summer outings! The material is light and very breathable. This dress is adorable and very flattering. I bought the blue and the black. Totally worth the money, I think I will get a lot of use out of both. I'm not sure it has enough room to get me all the way through pregnancy, but it should fit for a while longer -I'm 25 weeks now. The fabric is heavier than jersey, which makes it dressy enough for work. Cute with boots and tights now and will be cute with heels or flats in the spring. Cute with a skinny belt above the belly too. Seems to run a bit smaller than non-maternity Merona clothing and it is quite fitted in the shoulders/chest. I'm 5'1'' with a small frame and small chest and the XS fits perfectly, my pre-pregnancy size was also XS, but Merona XS clothes were often too big for me. Consider going up a size if you have a larger chest. The skirt curves back in towards the body under the belly, which I think is more flattering than some tent-like maternity dresses that just hang off the widest part of the belly. see less

Yes the fabric is different and does not stretch on the top portion but the dress is comfy and if you need more chest room just up size it! I am a pre-pregnacy size 12, and typically a M or L shirt. I am 5'10" and have a 38DD chest, but it might be a little bigger now. I typically have a hard time with V-cut dresses or shirts because they show too much cleavage. This dress is perfect! I can wear it to work without having to wear a tanktop under it to cover my chest. It hits me about an inch above the knees, but doesn't look too short for work. I've worn the dress twice so far, and get compliments from everyone! I have it in the dark blue, which is a beautiful color. I will probably buy at least 1 more color to wear for the remaining 19 weeks! But, I can probably also wear these after pregnancy, since they are so cute! see less

I am normally 5'5" and 135 lbs and wear a size 6-8 in dresses and a medium in shirts. I bought this in an XS bc of the reviews and they were absolutely correct. This thing runs huge. I am 7 months pregnant and the xs fits me fine with plenty of room to grow. So it just depends on how you want it to fit. If you want it to show off your bump and you're not worried about other curves, I'd definitely recommend going 1-2 sizes down. If you're heavier in other areas and want something very forgiving, then just size down one size. This is comfy, soft and the perfect dress. It will be great in the summer. But just fyi there is no upper support, you will need a bra and probably a cami b/c the V neck is very deep. I also think you could get away with getting this dress in the non-maternity style in your regular size , though one size down will still fit nicely, and I think it'll fit you fine during your entire pregnancy and afterward. I decided to do that in another color. see less

I wanted a Spring/Easter/Summer dress. I am 5'3" and pregant with my 3rd child. I am at 22 weeks. This dress flatters my "mommy body." It hits at the knee and I feel comfortable in it since it does not reveal any cleveage. I plan to wear it in the spring with a 3/4 length sleeve black cardigan and black flat shoes. The purple is very grapey. Not muted at all. The material is thick so it hides "problem areas" pretty well and isn't too clingy. My husband said, "cute." see less

I bought this dress in both Amparo Blue and Bering Sea & got them in the mail today. They both fit perfectly! They weren't too clingy, didn't show cleavage, the ruffle fell just above my knee & it really shows off the baby bump! I'm 5'4" & had ordered an x-small. I ordered based on the recommendation to order the same size in maternity that I would normally wear prior to being pregnant. I couldn't be more pleased. Strangely enough, however, they sent me two different dresses. The blue one is identical to the picture, but they sent a green one that is almost identical, except there's a ruffle that goes all the way down the middle of the front of the dress from the neckline to the hem ruffle & it doesn't have a draw-tie. I like it equally as much, however, if not more! I had planned on keeping the color I liked the best & returning the other one, but since they are two different dresses that both fit me so well, I've decided to keep both! And the bust line was too short/small for me to fit into. I'm currently 36DD. The small fit otherwise. So if you are small busted and don't mind the temporary feel of this fabric, then this dress might work for you. see less

I really expected more from this dress. The bustline is too high, causing it to fall off the chest rather than creating a more flattering empire waste. It has a seam in the front center of the skirt, which doesn't stand out in the photo but certainly does on a pregnant belly. Finally the fabric isn't a cotton jersey as many of the others are, but rather a cheap polyester that looks bad and doesn't hang well. I'm disappointed. see less
