I just bought this electric knife today after having my eye on it for quite some time. [...] First off, I love the style (I replaced an older electric knife I had from the same company in white)., as the mass majority of my kitchen appliances are black and brushed stainless. The case is sturdy and holds the unit, blades, and fork (another great addition) seperate. The knife has plenty of power and works like a charm. see less

I purchased this to cut upholstery foam into couch cushions and it worked very well. Holding the power switch on gets tiring to the fingers after a while, and it is sometimes tricky to keep fingers from covering the cooling vents on the handle. It did warm up with use. Overall, it was worth the price. The case that came with mine easily snaps open and shut. I can see where some would find the handle large and others not. It is 8" long and the diameter ranges from 5.5" to 7.5". For cutting foam, it offered a comfortable grip. see less

I received this as a wedding gift and it is very nice! Better than priced, it comes in a very nice case and cuts so easy. Not sure how some rated it w/ a big handle. Its an electric knife...where do they put the wiring and such??? Handle is NOT to big. see less

Got one as a gift and thought it would be great. What a disappointment. Got a replacement and it was just as bad. Most under powered knife I've used. Absolute junk. Contacted Rapala customer service. They wouldn't stand behind the product. I sent it back to them and told them it would be nice if they would replace it or something and if not to keep it. They kept it and I never heard anything from them again. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Buy something different. see less

I had a [...] Electric knife and it served me well for many years. It worked up till the day I dropped it. I wanted an exact replacement but couldn't find one online so I bought a Proctor Silex. Lo and Behold, it is identical to my [old brand]. The design had not changed in these many years and the only difference was the name decal. [...] Anyway, the PS knife is also performing well, as expected. see less

My wife bought me this for Xmas replacing the Hamilton Beach that we had and used often.I don't like the Proctor Silex because I don't like the switch it is hard to squeeze. I'll probably give this one to my daughter and get the Superior Hamilton Beach one. see less

This was the only brand or choice in store so I bought it thinking an electric knife is an electric knife. The trigger / handle is very shallow and hard to keep your finger firmly on it while you are slicing thus keeping it running continuously is difficult. They may have created it that way for safety reasons but it is too difficult to use as it is. It is probably a good knife with good quality but if it is a pain to use, that of course takes away any quality/value etc. I'm going to feel funny returning it, but back to the store I go!! see less
