I bought this in the store...the last one on the shelf, in a very beat up package. Fine by me, as I knew I could return it if there happened to be something wrong with it. We intended to use it in the bathroom, but hubby requisitioned it for the kitchen. Couldn't be happier with this product and that is why I am on here reviewing it, as I am in the process of buying another to be shipped to my house, since you can't find a fan in stores right now since we are in the height of summer and yes, it's HOT! Highly recommended. I don't know whether the front comes off to clean it as it is advertised, but it does swivel and we've had no issues with ours not staying in place. Buy it. You'll be glad you did. see less

There is a lot of power in this small fan. It really delivers. It's a small desktop fan but for me there is never a need to go past the low setting because I can feel the air. It's quiet and efficient. A little pricey but what can I say- you get what you pay for. see less

I use it on top of my refrigerator in the kitchen area of my home to help the central A/C with air circulation. I also chose this product because of the manufacturer. I bought a plastic fan and it was loud and wasnt worth the money .It comes set up in the box , so all you have to do is take it out and plug it in. I got the classic 12 " table fan . see less

I bought the Honeywell Tabletop Air Circulator 18 months ago. It has run at least 18 hours a day since then. The sound is low and steady, and it has never shown any problems with tilting as in some of the previous reviews. It keeps its place perfectly. I bought another one six months ago to keep in a different room because I was so pleased with the first one, and it too has a good sound and keeps its tilt well. Very good nighttime white noise, also. Both are in excellent working order and show no signs of trouble. Very good fan for such an inexpensive price! see less

This fan has served me well for over a year now. It has very impressive airflow. Even better is the small size of the fan. Mostly I use the fan to circulate air in my bedroom, but I have also used it to move cold air up stairs and hot down. It works very well, you will be impressed! I did have to take the fan apart and re apply oil once after leaving it on for a month straight (voiding the warranty, haha), but it has been working great ever since the reapplication of oil. It also provides a nice soothing hum for people who like a bit of white noise when they sleep. see less

This fan puts out so much air it is incredible! Even on the low setting, there is a lot of air being moved around. I find that on the high setting, the fan is noisy. That is why I rated it four stars for quiet operation. I love the design of this fan, it's very stylish. All in all I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I will consider buying Vornado products in the future. see less

I was undecided for long if investing so much in a fan when most fans aren't built to last, but we're in the middle of rain season and the heat was taking a toll on my orchids. I paired a vornado with a thermo cube outlet and it's amazing, feels cooler inside even if outside feels unbearable. I'm considering switching from air conditioner to two vornados controlled by the thermocube. see less

Three and two years ago I bought some of the 630s and they really get the air moving. They are well made with quality and the plastics are solid materials. Low speed is not whipser quiet. On low a deep whooshing sound is made and it is loud a little. If it was quieter like the 530 on low speed that would be good. Other than that they are fantastic fans and I like them and am happy with mine!. see less

I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The Vornado Compact 573 is the "Bose" of Air Circulators, the "Cream of the Crop". It is quite small, but don't let that fool you. This little baby gives a high power performance. I also really like the sleek, elegant appearance and feel of this air circulator. I would definitely recommend this high quality product. see less

This is my 2nd room circulator. I have been using the larger 270 for over 1 year to supplement the thru the wall air conditioner and base board heat.. Unless the a/c is on high fan which is very noisy, the cool air seems to never make it to the end of an 18' room. However, I have a 12' hallway running at a right angle at the end of the room and warm are seems to get stuck there. The compact 573 does just the job of pulling some of that cool air down the hall. Unlike other fans which blow air and anything in front of it, this truly does gently circulate the air. I am able to lower the thermostat on my heat and raise my thermostat on my a/c, both by several degrees. see less

I've went through a couple of these over the years. Mind you that I run these things almost 24/7, but they don't last like they used to. Even after a few months you can hear the difference - the motor lightly "squeaks" at times. If you can get your hands on an older "red logo" version you would be better off, but they are hard to find. Overall a great fan, but don't expect more than 5 years out of it. see less

I bought this fan because it is the closest I could find to an earlier model made by Vornado. It has the same grill and fan blade size as the earlier model but not the universal mount.I use the fan strictly for the noise while sleeping. This one moves almost as much air as the 10" model but with a smaller blade which means it makes more noise which I like. Unlike the older model it has a three speed control instead of two. The medium speed is a nice compromise between the lo speed which is all but silent and the high which is a bit too loud for some people.The only problem I see is the limited range of motion op and down which is only about 75 degrees - you can't point it straight up. Also the control is hard to reach. see less

I was surprised at how easy it went together. Very quiet, makes no noise even when it is on high. Nice design with the controls. Not the usual little buttons across the base, but a large silver band around the bottom that is easy to slide back and forward to the speeds. Works for me because when my large cats walk over it they can not turn it on. The cats have enough weight they could touch the old one with a paw and turn it on. Got to be a game with them and not safe. I had to unplug the old fans every time I left. The front grill snaps off easy enough for cleaning the blades. A good value for the price. see less

I have been wanting this fan for SO long! I finally found it on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond at half price! The box was damaged but not the fan. Lucky for me, right? I unpacked it with the biggest smile on my face. Just as I knew it would be...it's perfect! It's quiet on all levels to me. Now I can finally have a fan in the kitchen with the grand kids around without them getting into trouble for putting toys in it just to hear the sound. Kids!! What are ya gonna do? I am a fan of Dyson products. I have the handheld, a DC25 and now this fan. Although pricey, I have found the Dyson products to be worth the money. They are well made and work as promised. I am using this fan in the bedroom because it gets the sun all day and does not cool down enough at night. This fan is perfect because the dimmer switch allows you to have a really nice range of air flow. I do not find it makes any more noise than a conventional fan, but I like white noise to sleep by. One of the main reasons for purchasing this fan was ease of cleaning. I have cats and I was constantly trying to clean fan blades I could not get too and could not stand to look at dirty, nasty, furry blades. Cleaning this fan is like a dream come true. Another great Dyson product!! see less

this fan i got back in 2010 and 2 years later it still performs as good as before. i have always used it on high. ive never tried the slower speeds so i dont know how they are but this fanfits my needs and is very powerful. this fan does seem a bit under priced though i woulkd highly reccomend it. see less

I liked the larger 660 model so much I decided to purchase the compact version to use as a "quick fan" around the house. WORST. PURCHASE. EVER. This fan creates a powerful vibration that can heard and felt through anything it's sitting on. On a table it sounds like an annoying droning sound and feels like something pulsing through my table. On a counter top it's even worse. On carpet, the noise is still there, but not when the fan is on low. On everything else it's just too annoying at any speed. I don't want a fan that's only useable on low on a carpet. [..................] see less
