Even though it says it isn't for kids until 12 months - my son started playing with it around 6 months. He loves to take the pieces out and play with the animals. Now at 13 months, he is starting to learn how to put the pieces back. Very good buy and very entertaining for the young ones. I gave it a 4 on quality because the paint is starting to come off on the corners of the pieces. But it has been a sturdy toy for all the times my son as thrown the pieces across the room. see less

We bought it today and she hasn't wanted to play with anything else all day long. She found it very entertaining. We played by the rules a couple of times, but she preferred to use the recipe cards without the timer/rules to make the cupcakes or just to make the different cupcakes by herself. She ended up putting on her princess dress and had a tea-party with the cupcakes she made. Well worth the money and good fun even if you don't play by the rules see less

This kept my 3 year old occupied for 12 days of power outage during Sandy! Of course we did not exactly play by the rules.. we just put cupcakes together using the cards. Sometimes we design our own cupcakes. The topper pieces are tiny so be careful! We usually dump all the pieces in the box lid, and then put our finished cupcakes in the bottom. see less

My daughter got this puzzle for her first birthday and loves it! The knobs are very easy for her to take the pieces out of the puzzle. She likes the pieces so much that she even crawls around the room holding onto one! She will even sit for several minutes with me while I tell her the name of each animal and make the sounds. This puzzle will also grow with her. As she gets older I can have her identify the animals, and she will also be able to put the puzzle pieces back into the puzzle as she develops. Very nice artwork - so much cuter than most puzzles out there. The puzzle is solid wood and is not covered by a paper print that can just peel off. Only thing I discovered - better to play on floor than on a stool or couch, etc. The puzzle is heavy and if dropped on a childs food or hand it can really hurt. Heck - the backboard part dropped on my foot hurt! see less

I purchased this for my Dad for Father's Day so that he and my brother would have a nice set to take with them for their very dramatic restaurant games, as their old set is missing several pieces. I wanted something portable but of good quality, so I chose this over the many less-expensive options. Well, the choice did not pay off. The quality is really quite poor, especially for the price. I would not expect this to cost more than $14.99, at the VERY most. The board, the pieces, the felt interior are made of very cheap materials and seems as if they were put together in a high school shop class. I do NOT recommend this board if you are looking for something nice-- I'm sure the more economical choices are of at least equal quality. see less

We haven't actually played this game as intended, as my daughter is still a little young for that. But, she loves to pick out a card, put it in the headband on her head, and then guess what it is (even though she already knows :)). She asks us questions about the item and everything (eg. if the item is a bed, she'll say, "do I sleep in it?" and we say "yes" and she says, "am I a bed???"). Too cute :) Only suggestion for a change would be to have sturdier cards as I can imagine these would get bent up easily by kids! see less

My almost 2 & half year loves puzzles. She loves this puzzle! I know its a little pricey but its well worth it. Everytime she puts a number in the puzzle it will tell her what number it is. It's not loud and annoying for parents:) My daugher did scrath off the number 10 on the puzzle she was biting on it. My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves this easy game. Players race around the board to be the first to the party. Each corner of the game has game pieces cupcake wrappers, cupcake inserts, frosting toppers and sprinkles game pawns are party hats. The party center is awaiting the winner to put their cherry on top of their cupcake. Educational as children need to move the amount of squares they spin plus when landing on plus or minus squares children count sprinkles for their cupcakes or take them away. They learn colors as the board has color squares and this will be the color sprinkles they retrieve. There are lose turn spaces as well so children learn patience when they are skipped. Imagination runs wild when they land at the corners and children can pretend they are mixing up their cupcake batter, placing in the oven, frosting their cupcake plus they can decorate when they get to the sprinkle topping corner. see less

These were the first puzzles I bought my son. He immediately loved them. We also have a transportation puzzle too by Melissa & Doug that is great. I would highly recommend them.I agree with the other reviewer. Sometimes if the pieces are loose and not in place they will randomly go off at night when we are turning off the lights to go to bed. It is so funny... we jump and then laugh at the random animal sounds.I leave these on my son's toddler table and he will go to them numerous times a day. see less

One of son's teachers once commented jokingly, when talking with another teacher about my son's recognition of animals and their sounds, "[he] knows what sound an aardvark makes." I enjoy it immensely, and I'm 41. It's leveled and there are "cheat cards" that can help you if you need it, but the satisfaction from solving the puzzle makes them unnecessary! This is a fantastic game for toddlers. At 18 months my daughter didn't show much interest in it, but now at 2yrs old she LOVES it. You roll the plush color cube and pick a card for that color. Each card has a simple task to perform, like- blow a kiss, roar like a lion, make a silly face, find something blue, etc. There is no winner or loser... it's just a really fun way play and learn with your kids. The only negative is that the cards can get pretty beat up by the little ones. My two year old is certainly not gentle with them, and they are bending some now. I guess there may be nothing to be done for that... but still, I wish they were a little more sturdy. And the game seems a bit expensive for what it is. I wish the price was more around [$]. BUT, the little ones love it and we play with ours daily... so I guess it's all worth it. Great to give as a gift b/c most people do not already have it! see less

My son has had this toy for several months now (he is now 20 mos old) and he seems pretty interested in it, but the toy can be very annoying. The animals will randomly make sounds at any given time, whether a puzzle piece has just been placed on it, or if it's just sitting across the room with no one near it. And many times it won't make the sound when you put the puzzle piece on which is what it's supposed to do.One night it startled me as I was walking through the living room with all the lights off and everyone in bed and it just randomly made an animal sound! It sounds funny when I tell the story, but the toy does not work properly which is disappointing. It doesn't keep my son's interest for long, but he often goes to it to grab the pieces and it is a good learning tool when working properly. It's best when you interact with your child with this toy to teach them. I would rate this more of a 2 1/2 star toy if the option were available. see less

My 4 boys have enjoyed this game. It was easy to set up and play started immediately. The joker has his own spinner while the Super Friends share a spinner. The joker can send a ball rolling down the game board and knock over other players which brings laughter along with the groan of whoever was knocked down. The goal is to get all the Super Friends to the Capture space before Joker makes it to the get away hatch. I highly recommend this puzzle. It is very sturdy and can withstand actual play from many kids. All of the kids who play at our house eventually find this puzzle. My kids--ages 6 and 4--still enjoy it a year later. Preschool and young grade teachers would likely appreciate this in their classrooms, as well. It is large enough for multiple kids to play/work together, and as I said, it is sturdy enough to handle it. My daughter loves science, and I am so pleased with this purchase! see less

I wish the cards were bigger and not so slippery is my ONLY complaint about this game. This game is cute, easy to understand, and my girls, ages 5 and 4, absolutely love it. They dont necessarily think of the strategy that could be involved when passing cards, but who cares? The music and dancing pieces are what they are most interested in, and watching them giggle with excitement after pushing the dance floor button is a memory to hold for a long time. I know its just a game but I really do get sentimental about it. Its also such a fast game that we can easily play through it at least once while dinner is cooking or before bedtime a great for busy moms and dads that still want to get some family time in even if there isnt much time for it. I guess I do have one other complaint now that I think about it. I cant figure out how to get my girls to stop asking to play it when I really dont have the 10 minutes before heading out the door to get to work. see less

This chess set is very cheap in quality. The chess pieces keep falling over even if the board is bumped a tiny bit. The little felt on the bottom of the pieces are stuck on like a sticker. I would not recommend this if you are an avid chess player. Now I have to say it was only 5 bucks, so you get what you pay for. see less
