I got this for my birthday a month ago and just took it for a week long trip to Orlando. It worked well as a carry-on and fit perfectly in the overhead bins. I took out the garmet bag to save space, but I didn't even come close to filling it up ... even with all the souveniers from Disney. It got bumped around a little bit but the grey finish didn't show any marks and it still looks brand new. My only complaint is the handle feels a little flimsy and doesn't hold well in the first(lowest) position. Otherwise, for the price, it's a great buy.
The suitcase seems perfect, except for the fact the dimension given must be interior because at best the suitcase would be 22x15x10. Too big for delta's carry-on's. I really love it but need a bag that is sure to make it onto the plane, so back this goes.
I fit 2 full suits and shirts, my wife's dress both our dress shoes, a bunch of undershirts, socks and underwear and all my toiletries inside. perfect for a cross country wedding trip. and it still had room on the outside pockets for things like tickets, iPad, a sweater etc. everything you would normally carry on.
And the best part is... IT STILL WORKS AS A CARRY-ON AND FITS IN THE OVERHEAD COMPARTMENT!!!
This worked so much better than a trunk style carry on bags. it kept our dress clothes wrinkle free and looking great when we got to the hotel.
I would totally buy this exact model again and again. It does not feel cheap at all and I have no reason to believe it would not last as long as the comparable swiss gear or even Samsonite nylon garment bags.
I purchased this sight unseen and was pleasantly surprised. The quality is excellent! I wanted it to match the other pieces of luggage I had purchased at the store and it was perfect. It's light weight and not too cumbersome. I was very pleased to say the least. Thank you Target for your excellent quality products and service!! (Oh yeah.... the free shipping is an added plus :))
Like Patrick wrote, the hanging hook was attached to the soft internal flap, and not to a hard point, making this bag largely useless to hang on a door.
Luckily, a pair of pliers solved the issue as I moved the hook to an external hard point. Took 3 minutes to monkey with it, but still.
Other than that, seems to work fine.
