I just picked this up today to replace my old Hot Tools pink straightener which died on me when I took it overseas. I'd normally go to [retailer], but hey, Target was closer and I wanted my straight hair back. Prices were exactly the same - I compared online - and while I knew this wasn't the CHI original, I knew I could trust the quality and the name so I gave it a try. I'd normally use my Hot Tools at 430 degrees, and although this CHI Air only goes as high as 410 degrees, it still did the trick. Straightens quick, no need to go over my hair twice - and I have thick naturally wavy hair. Gets pretty hot too. In fact, my only complaint would be that the outside part of the flat iron gets pretty hot and so be careful not to hold that part - although you don't need to anyway. see less

I am BEYOND impressed with this flat iron. I have very thick hair that is prone to frizz. I used my new iron this morning and I couldn't believe how well it smoothed my hair. It literally only took 5 minutes to straighten out my thick, semi-course hair to straight, soft and looking just like my salon stylist does it! I didn't even need to blow dry it or use any product to achieve the final result, and it's been holding all day. It's capable of high heat, and heats up very quickly. The thing that surprised me most is how comfortable it is to use. My other flat irons would pull my hair, but this is so sleek... it feels like AIR! I am in love. Totally worth the money. It may look like other irons, but I promise, it's leaps and bounds better than it's cheaper competitors. I'll never go back. see less

I have curly hair and I would never try to straighten my whole head with this but it is great for touch ups like bangs especially when traveling. It's small and compact and easy to use. Heats up fast just like the full sized chi. So I would recommend unless you have a big job then I suggest the full sized chi. Either way I'm a fan of the chi when wanting to take my hair from curly to straight. see less

I got this straightner in hopes to be getting a great deal. I was wrong. I have had it a little over a week and plan on returning it today. It takes forever to straighten a small piece of hair and leaves your hair looking frizzy and fried. The straightner I had before this was not name brand or compact, but worked a lot better than this one. see less

I'm a black female with natural hair - not straightened with chemicals/perms/texturizers - and I only use 100 percent pure products - like coconut oil, olive oil - on my hair. Obviously, I don't want to use oil when straightening my hair because I don't want it to cook. I have a Chi straightener and it came with the Chi Straightguard that I found to be just okay. This Chi Silk Infusion though is amazing. It makes my hair literally feel like silk. It is smooth and shiny, which is a feat that only the God's can accomplish on my hair. I absolutely love this stuff. The smell however is awful. Much too strong. It's not a bad smell, its just a cologne type smell. Awesome awesome product. Bad smell. Would recommend to anyone who is reading this review even thinking about buying the product. Buy it. I think you can get a small bottle for only [$] as well. I've had my bottle for over a year. You just don't need a lot of it and I only use it when I'm straightening. see less

I was so excited when I received this as a Christmas gift since I was in the market for a good quality hairdryer and CHI has a great name tied to it. Unfortunately after only 8 short months of having this expensive hairdryer the heating element went out! Do not waste the money! see less

This hair dryer has made a difference in the condition of my hair. The speed seemed slower, however, my hair dries faster and feels oh so silky. Well worth the above avergae cost of a hair dryer. see less

I love the cool feature... just push a button and cool air comes out. The only thing I don't like is where the buttons are placed. It can easily be shut off with an accidental tap of the finger. see less

This worked fine as long as it lasted. It's light and dried my hair quickly enough, but this only went on for about 5 months and then the heating started to fail. This isn't the first time CHI has failed so soon, which is why I'm quitting on chi products for good. I can't believe I chose this over the [brand] salon pro hair dryer which my stylist recommended but I preferred chi because it's a bigger brand name... see less

WOW I love this it's so perfect for travling. i go on work trips alot and this is just great it has a blow dryer and flat iron two of the things I love the most and the both very well. I have had this for about a year and haven't had any problems see less

This is great deal when you consider all that it comes with! The case is great. It has a ton of pockets and plenty of space. The Chi styling products are amazing. The blow dryer is great and very small perfect for travel. However, the straightening iron is terrible. It is below Chi quality. It doesn't get nearly as hot as a traditional Chi straightener. It did nothing for my curly hair. Didn't even give me any shine. I was very disappointed. The straightener is just cheap. It is small and great for travel but does not get hot enough to provide the results expected from a Chi product! see less

Was looking for a heat protecting spray to use on wet or dry hair before I blow dry my hair and straighten it & i stumbled upon this stuff and thought i would give it a try. I had heard good things about Chi products in the past & since i use a Chi straightening iron, I figured it would be good. Well, i love this stuff. I use it everyday and spray it evenly throughout my dry hair right before I straighten or curl it. It smells lovely & doesn't make my hair greasy or weigh it down. My hair feels super smooth and soft afterwards, i love it! I would highly recommend this product. I am almost out of my first bottle and definitely plan on purchasing another one! see less

Really liked this product, it had pretty good results, except it doesn't have the best smell. I use this everyday before school, and my hair stays smooth, and straight all day. I would reccomend this product to ladies who want a great finished straight look. see less
