This is a great piece of machinery, but it needs to be for the price tag. Some things to know are...
There are 10 settings, and when you get closer to level 10 on the LED panel, it does get a little loud, but if you're just looking to quickly heat or circulate some air, that's just fine. You can always back the the speed down to something quieter to maintain airflow.
When I first turned the machine on I cranked the temperature setting up part 80 and the heater flicked on quickly and did a great job heating the air. It took me a while to get the machine to run with just the fan without the heat. I found that you need to turn the temperature setting way down (around 30) to get the fan to start running without the heat - it just a way to tell the machine that you want cool vs. hot air. Then you can up the temperature to a more comfortable number like 72.
While I think it is genius to design the heating element to stay below the burning point of dust to avoid a burning smell, I 'm not sure what the burning temperature of pet hair is. This might prove to be an issue in our house.
All in all, it is a nice product, but the value is what brings my overall rating down from 5 to 4 stars.
I got a really good deal on this fan. I wouldn't pay the full amount for it but it does work well. It is not as quite as they say but it isn't any louder than a normal fan would be. I love that it has 10 speed settings. I haven't been able to put the heater part of it to use yet but the fan part is great. The remote is very convenient and easy to use. I love dyson products, they never disappoint.
I tried this out works like any other table fan not really worth the price. A vortex fan seems to move more air and keel the house cooler. The product is very well built just not very functional.
