This is the best gift my daughter recieved for christmas. She loves it. She's constantly taking pictures and playing games. she barely ever puts it down. The only complaint I have is that it runs batteries out very fast, but buying a battery charger, and a AC adapter helped a lot. Shes always showing us everything shes completed and asking us for help. And i can check her progress online. This is the best toy ever. see less

For christmas I got my 3 ... see more

For christmas I got my 3 year old nephew the Innotab 2 and my 5 year old niece an android tablet. The android was broken by noon but the Innotab is still going strong. It has fallen and been pulled to the floor several times with no problems. Yes battery life is limited, but I purchased 2 sets of rechargeables at the same time and it is not a problem. And the upside is that I do not have to have him connected to a wall outlet while I try to recharge an internal battery. I added an SD card and put in age appropiate MP3s, Movies, and Videos. He no longer tries to grab his moms phone to play games on and his interest in TV has decreased. The only issue I had was with the camera was how dark images were. Opening the curtains or turning on some lights and the images are not so dark. Overall it is the smartest purchase I've made for any of the kids. It has no limits and the material can grow as he does. Now my only issue is keeping it out of the hands of the teenagers. see less

Great value with online sale price plus 5 percent off using red card. Passed the leapster explorer down to my daughter but all of the games are interchangeable a HUGE plus. The games also work with the leap pad which my kids share for now. Great selection of games that actually have a learning component - math, reading, counting, shapes, etc. This will delay a nintendo DS system for at least a few more years! Purchase the skin for durability. One of the buttons is already starting to rub off and he has only had this for 30 days. I may see if I can exchange it. Love that it plugs in to charge - the biggest downfall of the first leap pad. My son loves the headphones and has the cases to hold all of his games also. Great product with long lasting usefulness. see less

I bought this for my 6 year old son who really wanted a Nintendo DS. I had owned Leapters before and wasn't ready to commit to a handheld that had no educational value so I took a chance on the GS. He loves it. He has spent hours playing the NFL and star wars game that I bought him and we went online and picked out apps together (Trex run, monkey soccer). The apps are great. He even enjoys the included Sillies app which I was worried might be too young for him. A total win. Oh yeah, and my 8 year old with the Nintendo asks if he can have a turn and a login on the LeapsterGS. I only wish there were more reading game apps like the old Star Wars Reading. see less

As an owner of a competing product, I had reservations as to how this childrens tablet would be better but I was happily surprised! First of all I LOVE how easy it is to set up Parental Controls on it! and the Learning Lodge Navigator is very helpful too! The screen is large and bright and easy for my kids to navigate as well. But even more importantly, this is a durable tablet! Durability and being able to stand up in a house full of kids is important! I handed the InnoTab 2S to my kids a few weeks ago and forced myself to let them have at it. I kept an eye on them from afar but let my 3, 5 and 6 year old do what kids do with items. It held up to everything that they put it through! PLUS my kids want to learn on it!! They are playing spelling and math games and are really enjoying the art gallery! This is a great learning item for a child! I have received VTech InnoTab 2S to facilitate my review. see less

My son has developmental delays and one of the aspects we've been working on in his Occupational Therapy is motor skills. Although he's very intelligent, he has some issues when it comes to holding pencils and working on his writing. I cannot believe how much the Art Studio has been helping us! He loves to work on drawing and it requires a lot of hand eye coordination to do some of the animated parts of the Art Studio. His teachers have already started to notice a difference in how he holds his crayons and pays more attention to his lines. It also really helps children learn how words come together to form sentences and stories! He loves the E Reader which allows him to point out the words and put them to memory. Just a spectacular Tablet for kids. I couldn't praise it enough! I have received VTech InnoTab 2S to facilitate my review. see less

I bought one previously for my 5 yr old daughter and had to return it soon after. However, found this one and it looked so cute and I love it the lights are very fun, and the sound is very clear. I love the fact you are able to purchase another mic so that both my kids can enjoy. Over all I would recommend this to any of my friends. see less

With kids who love technology this is a way to let them play without giving them your gadgets. My daughter loved the vTech InnoTab 2s. The games included were great and she has spent hours playing on it. While the quality of the camera and video is not the greatest is works for her needs. She loves watching her colored pages come to life and we can't wait to add to our game collection. If you have a little one who loves to play games on a tablet but aren't quite ready to hand over your iPad then this is definitely the way to go. I love this "tablet" for my kids! I have 3 ages 6, 5 and 3 and they all love to play the games, listen to the music and take photos. The icons are large enough for them to use easily, the games, books, and other educational items are perfect for this age group. And we LOVE the deluxe ebooks! In addition, we have had it for 2 weeks and though it has been dropped and treated like most toys are around here, it is standing up perfectly! Defiantly a buy for educational and entertainment value! I do think that this kids tablet is a BUY! The only drawback is that you have to purchase the games and books after the fact. But I have only had to download 2 so far and they have been entertained and have not asked for more. So I don't think it is going to kill my buget to download 1 or 2 a month. Money I would probably spend on books anyway! see less

We bought this for our 5 year old for Christmas. She's used it maybe three times and the cord has pulled away from the plug exposing wires and is super dangerous. I think it's been too long to return it and the manufacturer's website is down, probably due to influx in support emails. Definitely do not recommend this product. see less

I read four previous reviews that this item was defective, smoke and burning smell. I purchased it anyway thinking the manufacturer may have rushed making the product for the holiday season and any defects were fixed - I was wrong. After about an hour of being plugged up, the machine began to produce a burning smell at the power source on the back of the machine, although there was no smoke. However, the sound quality was great and the kids loved it. see less

I thought this machine was excellent. The sound quality was great for such a compact size. The monitor worked well and we hooked it up to the TV for even better visual graphics. The mic worked fine and we purchased an extra for duets! We had no problems whatsoever. It was easy to maneuver and we all had a blast. My daughter has used her innotab every day. She loves it!! The battery life is not that great but you get what you pay for, we bought duracell batteries and they lasted for 2 days. I plan on purchasing rechargeable batteries and the power cord. She watches movies on it, listens to music, plays games, paints, listens to stories...the possibilities with it are endless. I love this, we bought this for my 2 year old daughter (and will probably be buying one for 3yo too she has vreader and mobigo) I would definitely say however, this is NOT an educational toy. I haven't yet bought the cartridges (can't see spending 25 on something i just paid [$] for). The music player and video player are what gets used most. My daughter LOVES the drawing and coloring too. The ereader stories are pretty neat but they are the EXACT same content on the vreader and the games are the same in the Mobigo. I was hoping there would be some different content. This is fine for us because we own all 3 vtech tech toys and use this one solely for entertainment and the other ones as the educational tools. I wouldn't bother downloading games onto the innotab they don't play as well as the mobigo either. The one that we downloaded is my oldests fav (monkey disco) the monkey says a letter and you find it on your keyboard and press it. but on the innotab it says a letter and there are two on the screen you press the right one. How challenging is that? Anyway like i said this thing is GREAT for entertainment, just not really learning. see less
