This reader is great! My 3 year old (will be 4 in January) loves it! She sits and spends time on it and actually learns. We were discussing elevators tonight and I asked her what an elevator was and she said she didn't know, then she said, "oh, it's a small room that moves on pullys to take people up and down, that's what it said on my "field journal" (her little nickname for it) in the puppy part." I was amazed. Some downfalls, the price is right but by the time you end up buying the charger, the rechargable batteries, the car charger, and at least one game, VTech should just have a deal to buy it all at once and get a less price. For me for the use it's getting already it was worth it just didn't want to spend that much.
My little girl just loves her Innotab! It's wonderful that we can track her progress and see how she is using her Innotab and also where she needs to improve. Battery consumption is not a problem if you buy 2 sets of rechargeable batteries and always have one charging while the other set is in use in the toy. The only problem we have with the Innotab is that the stylus is not attached to the Innotab itself. She is constantly misplacing her stylus. Just a thought! This is the "BEST" toy we have ever gotten my little girl. Thank you!
