We got this as a wedding gift, and it really does have everything we needed. The tools are nice quality and have a professional appeal to them. However, we found the edge of the flipper quickly became worn down and food sticks to it and won't come off in the dishwasher. We solved that by shaving off a fresh surface with a knife. Also, the markings on the measuring cups washed off immediately when we first washed them by hand with regular dish soap. It seems like they just used a cheap paint to print the markings on them, but there's no loss of function, just an unsightly whitish spot where they used to be and some inconvenience trying to tell the 1/3 cup from 1/2 cup at a glance. Still the value for the entire set is great. I'd say get the set, re-gift the measuring stuff to someone else, and buy a set of stainless measuring cups and spoons for yourself. see less

I have owned it for less than a year and the handles have broken on multiple tools. The ink used for the KitchenAid brand has all but disappeared on every gadget, and I would often get a "plastic" taste in my food when using the spoons. This must be a cheap production set from KitchenAid because normally their products are of good quality. see less

I have this board in two sizes, and don't understand the previous reviewers being upset with this board showing cut marks! Um, isn't that the point of a cutting board? To provide a surface under the food you're cutting that will give way to your knife and prevent it from dulling? That's the reason you shouldn't actually cut on glass cutting boards or other hard surfaces because it can dull your knives quickly. I this this product is great, but I guess if you're concerned with a poly board showing cut marks, don't get the black, get a lighter color where the marks won't show up as easily. see less

I received these as a wedding gift, and I love them. I especially like how easily they come on and off the ring-- meaning they stay organized, but in the rush of cooking, they are easy to get to. I haven't noticed any bending of the handles, unlike the other set we have, although the connection on the 1 cup measurer seems a bit narrow, and as it's the largest, I could see the potential. Most importantly, I have NOT seen any of the numbers rub off. Just in case it was chance that I always used the other set on oil based ingredients, which is unlikely, I dipped my finger in canola oil and rubber vigorously. The label stayed perfectly. I'm thinking OXO has remedied the label issue. My only wish? That the set included 2/3 and 3/4 measuring cups, but I make do just fine. see less

I have been using a "hand" can opener for over 20 years and I missed the ease of an electric one. I was dismayed when I went to my local Walmart and saw the display models. I had a picture in my mind of the heavier metal ones that I grew up using. Those apparently are a thing of the past! Plastic is everywhere! When I opened my new Oster, I thought it would break the first time I tried to use it. It didn't! I cannot believe the ease of use. I read the reviews of others stating difficulty getting the can opener to start. I understand why they felt that way.With the "older" can openers you literally had to jam the can into the opener. Not with this one! It operates very smoothly and the magnet holds the lids and does not make a mess. I love the fact that I can slide out the blade assembly for such easy cleaning. I was concerned that the height of the Oster would mean easy to tip, Not So ! I am very satified with the Oster and I recommend it ! Good bargain! see less

They have a heavy enough weight to not feel or look cheap & are a great addition to the set I already have. I like using the salad forks to eat every meal..I prefer the shorter forks instead of the large dinner forks. The salad forks I've seen & previously ordered have been as long as the dinner forks we have..and I didn't like that at all. This is one of those cooking tools that make life oh so much easier! And, then you (or someone dear) drops it on the Southern Living ceramic & wrought iron dog dish and it's gone. Or so I thought. Had the first Pyrex 8-cup for 20 years -- never needed a mixing bowl because I could mix-up everything in it from cake batter through eggs and whip cream, then pour it out to bake -- no dribbles or spills. Over time, dropped it on wooden,lineoleum, and laminate floors, carpets, tables. And,dropped plenty of stuff on it in the sink. It NEVER even chipped! Anyway, looked for a replacement for two LONG years... the original 8-cup was bought at the Pyrex Outlet in Corning NY when I was a college kid needing one good all-around dish to use in the microwave. And then, this Christmas I saw it online at Target! Bought two -- one for the Sister-in-Law and one for me. But, then could not bring myself to part with the extra so have it squirreled away for the day some butter-fingers drops this one on a ceramic dish or tiled floor. I purchased one on a spare of the moment decision when I was out shopping, mine was of poor quality and falling apart. This is without a doubt the best can opener I have owned in my fifteen years of marriage. It opens evenly and smooth around the can and requires less force with the fingers, this is important for anyone with arthritis in the hands. I do not understand how anyone can have trouble with this. I own two as my sister-in-law purchased one for me as a surprise knowing how poorly mine was operating. I have had them both for two years now and they operate the same way as they did when purchased. see less

I think this works well and now its been about a year I have had it. I dont know why people are having trouble with it really. maybe you should make sure to have your can on the counter while getting it lines up to clasp on in case you arent, also wash it each time after use and oil it with food safe oil once in a while.~just a thought for whatever it might be worth see less

This is the brand/style to get if like me, you're tired of holding the measuring cup in the air, hoping it's level. Just leave this cup on the counter and pour, the measurments are angeled inside so you'll instead be looking down at the desired amounts......so easy, no balancing, no errors. This KitchenAid apple corer is great for quickly slicing through apples. I use it every day when making lunches for myself and my husband to take to work, and it makes it so quick and easy. The blades are sharp enough to slice right through, the handles make it easy and comfortable to grip, and the red color is catchy and fun. We love it and use it all the time. The only thing to watch for is putting it through the dishwasher -although it is dishwasher safe, the blades start to look like they are rusting if they don't get dried off properly right after washing. see less
