We got this as a wedding gift, and it really does have everything we needed. The tools are nice quality and have a professional appeal to them. However, we found the edge of the flipper quickly became worn down and food sticks to it and won't come off in the dishwasher. We solved that by shaving off a fresh surface with a knife. Also, the markings on the measuring cups washed off immediately when we first washed them by hand with regular dish soap. It seems like they just used a cheap paint to print the markings on them, but there's no loss of function, just an unsightly whitish spot where they used to be and some inconvenience trying to tell the 1/3 cup from 1/2 cup at a glance. Still the value for the entire set is great. I'd say get the set, re-gift the measuring stuff to someone else, and buy a set of stainless measuring cups and spoons for yourself. see less

I thought oxo was really high quality...however...the rest of the stuff has been great. The can opener works amazing...so maybe it was user error...who knows. This chopper is poorly designed. The base does not attach securely, and it sometimes falls off while the chopper is being used. Also, the little spoon attached to the side is just a hassle. It also falls off easily. The parts are all dishwasher safe, which is nice, but they don't dry well after being washed. This chopper gets the job done, but I am unimpressed with every other aspect. see less

I received these as a wedding gift, and I love them. I especially like how easily they come on and off the ring-- meaning they stay organized, but in the rush of cooking, they are easy to get to. I haven't noticed any bending of the handles, unlike the other set we have, although the connection on the 1 cup measurer seems a bit narrow, and as it's the largest, I could see the potential. Most importantly, I have NOT seen any of the numbers rub off. Just in case it was chance that I always used the other set on oil based ingredients, which is unlikely, I dipped my finger in canola oil and rubber vigorously. The label stayed perfectly. I'm thinking OXO has remedied the label issue. My only wish? That the set included 2/3 and 3/4 measuring cups, but I make do just fine. see less

I love the OXO brand but was very disappointed with these measuring cups and spoons. The labels started rubbing off from only one use. As soon as I put them in the hot water in my sink the paint rubbed off onto my washcloth and I had to throw everything away. I've gotten lots of their other products including kitchen utensils and sink stopper and have no complaints with anything else. I recommend you don't purchase these. see less

Just leave this cup on the counter and pour, the measurments are angeled inside so you'll instead be looking down at the desired amounts......so easy, no balancing, no errors. i looked at a lot of different spoons before i went with this one. it's sturdy, durable and cheap. i didn't need anything fancy, just something i could use with non-stick cookware but nicer then the [retailer] store wooden spoons without spending a ton. this spoon fits the bill. it's pretty thick, so it fits well in my hands and when i bang it on the edge of the pot/pan i don't feel like it's going to shatter. i like this spoon and will probably get a couple of more. see less

I recently bought this Mimi Salad Spinner when I was home on vacation. I have one and I use it almost every day, and I love it. My parents are elderly and eat salad almost every day. The find this to be so much better than trying to clean and dry your lettuce. They have an medical aide for my Mother, who also assists them with meals and made the comment she is buying one for her house. It is such a simple and small kitcen appliance, but so needed. Unlike my plastic spatula, this one has never melted around the edges when I use it in a really hot pan. I usually use it for pancakes or sauteeing vegetables. I decided to finally buy this product for my daughter's graduation party, seeming we had 7 pineapples to slice. This was an item I always thought looked neat but not for [$] when I can slice a pineapple myself for free. The first pineapple I tried I almost screamed with amazement at how easy this tool was and not only easy but FABULOUS. You get almost all the edible fruit from inside and it takes less than a minute. Screw the slicer into the pineapple and pull. It comes out like a curly fry which you can easily slice into perfect peices. I wish I would have bought this years ago! Plus a fun bonus is the pineapple shells are perfect for using them as something fun like drinks! My friend that was helping me with the party ended up going out and buying one the very next day, it's a must have if you eat pineapple! see less

The secret to this item, or any mandoline, is to take time to learn how to use it. I was frustrated at first and was going to return it. Instead I took 30 minutes to practice on some vegetables and removing and replacing blades etc. It was worth the time. It works great. I have a hand held mandoline but this is much sturdier and safer to use. For the price and amount used, it is worth the price. see less

I found this OXO mandoline slicer to be great! I use it just about everyday when preparing healthy snacks to take to work. The blades are nice and sharp and cut extremely well. I have sliced a whole apple into what looks like a puzzle and can now get my mom and son to eat them more often, just after they finish playing with the individual sections. I love the design which stores 4 different blades into one item. This prevents me from loosing any and I always know where the others are. It's easy to clean the individual components by the way it unlocks and disassembles. Re-assembling the very first time was a little tricky but once I figured it out, I understood its construction which made future re-assembling easier. I've spoken so highly of it to my co-workers and shown them the results of my labor using the item until she is interest in purchasing one and so I am providing her with the model number. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars overall is because it does not have an auto shut-off. If you put it in the cupboard and bump the on button, it will drain the battery. And now that i think about it.... It would be nice if it was more water resistant. I wash it off after i use it and have gotten it wet without issue, but i dont think it would fare so well if you were measuring the temperature of a liquid and accidentally dropped it in. Until I brought this mandoline I spent a lot of time slicing vegetables by hand, particularly onions. I haven't done that since I brought this product. It is easy to clean, easy to handle and fast, fast, fast. There is a safety feature to protect hands from the blade and an attachment to hold your vegetables while slicing. I don't bake any cookies, but I love this spatula. It is very small, has rounded corners, is silicone and has a flexible perimeter for getting under cooked items. Only the very outside about a quarter inch is truly flexible. The rest of the spatula portion is an embedded steel. The neck is also steel. I can use it in the smallest of skillets when cooking eggs or tiny pancakes. I had another silicone spatula, but the neck melted if I laid it across the rim of a hot skillet. Only the spatula portion was silicone. The neck of this one doesn't melt. see less

Originally I really liked this because the design makes it easier to clean than the 4-sided metal one my mom had when I was a kid. You can easily reach between the two sides to brush off leftover food, and the panels remove from the handle so that you don't have to wash the whole thing if you only dirtied one side. But the plastic is starting to crack either due to the pressure I had to put on it to keep it from slipping while in use...or maybe the dishwasher? see less

Also, it is easier to clean than a box grater because you can better access the backside of the grating panels.Cons: The plastic cracked very soon after I got it. At first I loved this strainer, but after just a few uses in a one month time frame, the metal mesh is rusting. I take good care of my kitchen tools, so I was obviously shocked to see rust. This product fails. It works as a strainer provided you don't whip it too much. You know, when you're trying to get do something well-drained and you whip it up and down over a sink. The downward pressure is too much for the handle, and it snaps in two. If you want a strainer where you gently agitate it or leave it still, this will work, but beyond that, it's a waste of money. You're better off getting one with a full metal handle. see less
