Unfortunately, the lamp arrived with the clear liquid, water, part very cloudy. From reading on-line, it sounds like this is a rather common problem with lamps from Lava Lite. Some say that after several weeks of on-off cycling the cloudyness may go away. Since it may never go away, and since I don't want to wait weeks, I returned this. see less

I got home and put it together it was simple you just put two pieces on the jar then plug it in. It actually works it just takes it an hour or more but other than that it is awesome. see less

The first time I got it, the lava lamp worked perfectly. Then i had a sleepover with my friends and the lava was frozen in a position, the water then drained out so we got a new one. the new lava lamp works perfectly. It's still pretty AWESOME!!!!!!!!! see less

I have always loved Lava Lite products, and very fimiliar with the way they are supposed to operate. I was excited to see Target carried them at a great price, since the place I used to get them at is now closed. Plugged this in and turned on, after 3 hours the Lave just collected at top of globe, no movement. The folks at Lava Lite should go back to original formula. see less

I bought this lava lamp about a month ago and right away it was terrible. the liquid is more yellow than white and the lava stuff is not even black its more of a plum color. it's absolutely hideous. there is stuff on the sides of the lamp that dont float up with the rest of the stuff and it just doesn't look attractive. go to spencers instead and buy a good quality lava lamp... don't waste your money on this. see less

I guess I shouldn't have expected much from something that only cost [$$]dollars. Very poor quality lava lamp. The light bulb socket was crooked in the base. There are little specks of wax stuck all over the inside of the globe that do not come off even when the lamp is warmed up. The wax is darkish purple, not black. The liquid is kind of murky with little particles of something floating around in it. Please don't waste your money on this product. see less

One of my kids got this for Christmas and was very disappointed. After running the lamp for eight hours, no real lava activity. It says you might have to wait as long as 6 hours, but can't run the lamp longer than 8. We ran to 8 and would say forget this purchase. see less

I bought this for my daughter's room who is eight. This item is tiny and is more like a night light and there is no movement of lava. It stays at the bottom of the lamp even after waiting the three hours for it to warm up. I don't recommend this product. see less

So overall this is a nice lava lamp. We use it as a night light for our 8 year old daughter. In the picture it shows that its clear and bright pink. It is bright pink, however, the "clear" part is super milky, not see through at all. Great value for what it is. see less
